The land our farm is on has been in my family for generations. It was originally part of my Great Grand Fathers dairy farm. We took over this section of the land to create our own farm several years ago. We raise beef, pork, chicken, and goats to sell. We also have several horses on the farm. The camping spot has been used by our family for years hosting “back forty” parties and weekend getaways. The pond was dug by my grandfather over 40 years ago for irrigation. It is no longer used for that and has become a wonderful frog pond that is stocked with trout. Over the last few years, we upgraded the camping area with a shed, outhouse, fire pit and granite bench, and a bean hole bean pit. The shed is used for firewood storage and other camp items. We have direct access to the ATV/Multi use trail system that can take you all over Central Maine. We have mowed waking trails around the property and acres of woods to explore.

CENTRAL MAINE (CORINTH) - Camp sites are located in a large, quiet, rural backyard with direct access to 90 acres of wooded, private, non-motorized trails, including a shallow stream. Several camper/rv sites are available near the gazebo, some flatter than others. Two of our sites are even appropriate for horse trailers... bring your own portable electric fence, highline your horses, or use our grass paddock!
In Corinth, the paved roads are considered ATV trails as long as you're heading to a trail (closest trail is less than 4 miles away). We are 30 minutes from the Interstate, 30 minutes from the Waterfront Concerts venue and Cross Insurance Center, and less than 1-2 hours from a ton of great outdoor attractions, like the Moosehead Lake Region, Baxter State Park, Fort Knox / Penobscot Observatory, and tons more.
We can offer 15a electric at Sites 1 and 4, and we have a small dumpster, one bag of trash per stay is allowed. There is direct access to our private wooded trail system (non-motorized-use-only).
Camp site property is attached to a small hobby farm with 2 horses and a flock of chickens. We sell beautiful blue/green/brown farm-fresh eggs from our free range chickens ($5/dozen). We also offer an optional and customizable "Farm Experience"... collect eggs, brush and feed horses, etc.
Also optional/customizable, visit our home for a traditional Maine meal served on our patio, near our big fire pit. Meals are negotiated on a custom basis with local in-season foods.

BUTTERFLY PARADISE HOMESTEAD Originally built in 1904 as the Qualey Homestead, w/an addition in 1949. It has a great view of Katahdin from Kitchen & Living Room, partial view from the Den, which has a view of Mount Chase & Sugar Loaf. There is a 180 deg. view of the mountain range from the apple orchard behind the house + the star watch point by the 100 year old graveyard.
There is a 12 herb medicinal garden, a 12+ wildflowers garden, + berries. The garden has amazing star watching and viewpoints with large granite stones and bistro tables for seating. Plenty of space for gazebos, pool, tiny houses, raised garden beds, etc. Lots of white quartz, red & black agate, slate. Lots of lichen, moss, pine cones, mushrooms. Lots of wildlife: eagles, hawks, turkey flock, deer herd, squirrels, chipmunks, and countless species of bird. Two 100+ year old and several other mature heirloom apple trees. There is a nearby creek leading to the 10,000 Acre Bog which is full of peat + pitcher plants. The house is fed by a well and there is not one but two seasonal springs in the garden, one supports a raspberry bog, and the other a very nice pond which a variety of toads and frogs and salamanders enjoy.
The home is 5 min. from the grocery, town office, post office, transfer station, & church in Sherman; 10 min. from the local junior high & high school; 25 min. from hardware, nursery, supermarket, & churches in Patten. Steve's campsite was wonderful! There are three tents on site, and the largest one has a beautiful porch looking out over Mt. Katahdin and other mountains in Baxter State Park. The kitchen was equipped for everything and we had everything we needed, including solar-powered phone chargers. We were prepared for chilly nights (mid+October), and were toasty in the tents with the woodstove. We hope to return again and do more exploring in the area.

Amazing spot! This was one of our best Hipcamp experiences. Quiet, private spot with amazing sunrise views. Cory was very communicative and gave great directions. The site is located back from the road and working farm so you feel remote. There are tons of amenities in the area, and it was a great place to explore Moosehead and the Belgrade areas. We can’t wait to return.

Travelers is hands down one of the most exceptional glamping experiences I’ve ever had. No detail or amenity has been left out to make the stay as comfortable as possible and you can tell that the host, Steve, truly cares about making the experience special to share with others.
We enjoyed some of the local hiking trails and canoeing and were so excited to come back at the end of the day and watch the sunset over Katahdin, which could be seen from every spot on the property.
Some of our favorite parts were:
-The kitchen which well equipped and had everything required to cook proper meals in the outdoors.
-Instant hot water for washing dishes and showering!
-A small woodstove in the tent making for one of the coziest camping experiences we’ve had.
-The sitting area with comfy couches and gas fireplace for relaxing after a long day outside.
I certainly will be recommending Travelers to my friends and family as the best way to experience the Katahdin region.

My dog and I spent 3 nights at the Travelers campsite and it was great. The quarter mile gravel road from the main road to the site was easy to navigate and we'll maintained. The camp was very well built, private and comfortable. Nice tent with fireplace facing the sunset over Mt. Katahdin. The gazebo had a propane grill set up, solar usb power, propane fire pit table and hot water. No problems with cell phone signal. Look forward to staying again next year.

Our list of places to see in the Katahdin region was long, but Westerly was so amazing with good biking, kayaks at the bog and dog friendly fields that we prioritized time at camp. The view of the mountain from the deck was better than any other place we could have gone.
It was easy to make great meals since the kitchen was stocked with quality equipment (have you ever had a rental with sharp knives and high quality pans?!?).
The site had good lighting, plenty of water, clean shower & toilet. And the benefits of living outside 24/7!
Steve was super attentive to my question about the water faucet and we donated an orange vest and hat to be safe on the land during hunting season.
Wished we’d booked more than two nights. I miss it already, the dogs do too.

We just returned from a weekend at the Traveler's campsite in Staceyville. It was so beautiful!! What a wonderful camp site. Gazebo decked out with full kitchen, a deck overlooking Mount Katahdin, a hammock, a large sleeping tent, an outdoor shower and a very clean outhouse. What a wonderful way to be in nature. We hiked around the property and went kayaking in the pond. We drove 11 minutes down the road and went for a beautiful bike ride on the Penobscot Trails. And we had cinnamon french toast at Brenda's Restaurant before heading home. Thank you, Steve!

We stayed at Travellers , for 3 nights, our first time glamping, having done many car/tent camp trips. Steve was very responsive and helpful with a question we had. We arrived just as it was starting to rain, and were very glad of our big umbrella to get things loaded into the tent and the kitchen/living room gazebo. FYI, this site has easier access from car to tent and gazebo than Westerly. Excellent stock of nice pots and pans, knives (sharp!) and dinnerware. As expected, no spices other than salt and pepper. Plenty of dishwashing liquid, sponges, paper towels, dishtowels. Roomy! Very comfy sofa and 2 chairs. The 3 burner giant camp cookstove is wonderful. We did not use the grill function. It can be a bit chilly in the gazebo, and the gas open fireplace really is more for ambience than heat. The little woodstove in the tent really heated up, with just 2 logs. The fat wood provided all the kindling necessary, with just one piece of paper to get things going. Cots are decent, not sagging. With very wet raincoats we did wish for a way to hang them up to dry. Outhouse is clean, not smelly. The view! The stars too! The road in is fine, we were in a Subaru Outback. Heard the train a couple of times, as well as traffic on 11 now and then, and we think the mill on one day. We also heard barred owls, coyote, and maybe a moose. We hit fall colors ranging from just starting to near peak. Incredibly beautiful and very close to KWW. All in all wonderful.

Westerly at Siberia Crossing was an amazing site and perfectly located for our exploration of Katahdin Woods and Waters NM. The sunset views from this site of Katahdin to North Traveler Mountain were incredible!
The tents and cots were were comfortable and clean. The kitchen gazebo / communal area was very clean and in new condition and was well appointed with everything we needed to prepare meals and clean-up. We particularly enjoyed portion of the gazebo with the comfortable couch, chairs and gas fire pit and incredible views!
Everything matched or exceeded the description. Directions and system operating instructions were accurate and easy to follow. Our host Steve provided great communication and was easy to reach with any questions that we had.
We will definitely be back to Siberia Crossing ! Thank you Steve for building and managing this amazing glampsite!

Steve has outdone himself with his hipcamp at Siberia Crossing. Everything was super convenient and thought out. The access to hot water and electricity is a huge plus. The yurt/tent was super nice and not a single mosquito made it’s way inside. the view from the site is awe inspiring. My girlfriend and I have been to 20+ hipcamps, and this one is surely atop the list. We both highly recommend booking a stay here!

This is one of the best campsites at which I’ve ever stayed. Five star view, excellent amenities and well appointed campsite. The tent was large and in great shape (brand new), and the screened in porch was fantastic. Not bug proof, but a good deterrent and a nice place to relax. The host is polite, respectful, and communicative. The pictures can’t do this place justice. It is an almost perfect spot. We will definitely plan to visit again.

The communication was terrific. The view was spectacular. Everything was thought of in terms of needs. It would be nice to be able to shut off the walkway lights at night if you wanted to such that you could use a headlamp to get to the bathroom and not wake everybody up with all the big lights coming on.

Our stay at Travelers was fantastic! Every detail was so well thought out, from the well stocked kitchen to the walk off mat outside the tent we were so comfortable. The views of Katahdin are amazing, and sitting on the deck watching the sunset was a perfect way to end the day. That and a HOT shower. If you want to visit the National Monument, just bring your sleeping bag and book this camp site. You will not regret it!

Our family of four (two parents, two teens) stayed at the Traveler's site for 3 nights. It is a funky and practical raised structure with two hubs and a ramp between - providing a slightly more elevated platform for the large bell tent, Adirondack chairs, Solo bonfire stove, and epic views of Katahdin AND a fully screened-in living/cooking/dining space equipped with professional knives, pots and pans of every size, plastic dishes and cutlery, paper towels, dish soap, etc. You really just need to bring the food! There is a big double bay sink for washing up with hot water, a small electric fridge, and even USB ports for charging your phone (or the small electric fans provided for hot nights!). The outhouse is clean and uses wood shavings to keep it smelling fresh. One of the nicest features is the hot shower in its own private structure. The whole setup is so thoughtfully arranged that you will feel settled right away and can start relaxing. The kids actually put their phones away and spent time playing cards in the screenhouse, cooking camp meals on the giant griddle, and taking in the stars (first time really seeing the Milky Way for one of them). Easy family day excursions from here are Tekαkαpimək Contact Station in Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument and Penobscot River Trails, where you can borrow a mountain bike for free and explore their network along the East Branch of the Penobscot. We'll be back!

Great location to rest and enjoy nature. I would definitely stay at this Hipcamp location again. Sharon and John were both very welcoming. My stay was over the Fourth of July holiday. They included me in their family activities and made me feel right at home. I also enjoyed petting Sharon’s horses.
