All pets on site must be leashed at all times, no exceptions. Campfires are allowed on this site when winds are under 10 mph. Check local weather first. We continue to provide free, locally grown, organic firewood in order to combat inflation and help you stretch your vacation dollar. While Ellie's doesn't have direct water access, there are many shoreline points of access close by. Beaches and water access are everywhere. Wide open space does exist. Come explore the Maine coast. Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Ellie's RV spot. State route 204 funnels park visitors to Acadia and the MDI area. In 2024 nearly 4 million people visited the Acadia area. Slow down, plan ahead and be patient. 2025 update: You can purchase your park pass online and print it before you arrive. Reservations for Cadillac Mountain are now required due to overcrowding. Great spot! Lots of details thought of with the firepit grill and utensils including marshmallow roasting sticks. Loved the counter and mushroom stools! Wouldn’t feel comfortable in windy weather just due to the shallow rooted trees- but it’s a beautiful spot! Reminded me of camping on the Olympic peninsula.

I had a nice stay here. The privy was clean and it's only 30-40 minute drive from Bangor. The sites are on a slight grade of a hill but it isn't that bad and they each have a fire ring and picnic table with a trash can.

This was a sweet place to stay. Krystal was a wonderful host and I enjoyed spending time around her horses and pups. The place was very close to lots of great hiking and a short way to Lincolnville Beach. I would definitely recommend!

Rebecca is a wonderful host. Always new projects being worked on making Mullen Grove even more spectacular. Rebecca's location is very peaceful and quiet. Whether you just want to sit back and relax, go aight seeing or walking around in the woods. Just an all around 10 as far as locations go. Definitely will continue to stay there in the future.

Wow!! This has got to be my favorite Hipcamp so far. The twisted tree site is gorgeous, funky, clean, and so fun. The moss on the trees, the carved barstools, all the built-in seating and surfaces... I WILL be back. Brendan responds quickly and is very helpful and kind!

You go for the wide open space and the great view! The site is no more than a port a potty, fire ring, and picnic table, AND it was perfect. It’s very private, quiet, and more than spacious. If fresh air and solitude is your vibe, this is the place for you. The host was in contact shortly reservation and the directions from the host get you where you need to be. I’d stay again.

We had a short but really nice visit. You have be ready for rustic vibe. It was cozy and the electric heater came in handy. I wish we had more time to explore the grounds but we were just passing through. Would absolutely recommend a visit.

Maple leaf campsite is so lovely! It’s private, quiet, and comfortable, with a very short walk from the parking spot. The built in raw wood bar and benches are super useful without compromising the woodsy vibe. We will be coming back next time we’re in Maine. Highly recommend!!

1 night at Magnificent View Blueberry Hilltop

Beautiful private place with a 360 view of the mountains! Completely impressed by the stone picnic table! The turn is a bit hidden so drive very slowly — we reached the top of the mountain and had to turn around because we went too far. I think the sign is a little hidden within the bushes. Otherwise, such a lovely stay! Would return!

A great place to do nothing. But if you must do, there’s plenty to do. The privacy and expansive views are hard to beat. And — while maples and oaks get all of the attention in autumn — blueberry barren fall foliage is hard to beat. You’re surrounded by scarlet waves. The site itself has everything you need: porta potty, fire pit, picnic table, privacy. You’re about an hour and change outside of Acadia NP if you wanted to do a day trip. There are some nice trails on the quiet side by Long Pond. Closer to the site, the Barred Island Preserve trail is one of my favorites. Or grab a coffee at 44 North then head to Sand Beach in Stonington. Food, Drink, Etc: Tinder Hearth, 44 North Coffee, Bucklyn Coffee, Blue Hill Books, Blue Hill Wine Shoo, Blue Hill Co-Op, Brooklin Inn, Brooklin General Store, Pilgrim’s Inn, Roaring Lion, El El Frijoles. Overall would definitely recommend!
