It's important to know that this is a raw and challenging terrain. It's a mountain or some may say a hill. We call it a mountain because of the rock bluffs, cliffs, and dramatic nature of this spot. As such, there are cliffs you could fall off, trails that are difficult and dangerous at times depending on your hiking skill level. ###Update, our cabin is coming along! Check out the new photos, including Pickles, our dwarf goat! We expect to be all ready by May 24th. We will add new photos weekly. ### Our campers can expect a new off the grid camp for the ultimate magical and romantic experience! The cabin is 18 x 16 feet, with a queen size bed, as well as a wicker day bed, that serves as a couch by day and bed by night. We do also have

Our extras include firewood at 10/bundle,as well as homemade cookies, breads, fresh eggs, muffins, and even cupcakes or cakes can be ordered if you are celebrating a special day. The property is on a dead-end road, has a huge yard, and tons of parking. There is also a pond on sight if you like to fish. There are 2 back patios and a balcony off of the master upstairs.
The house easily sleeps 10. Please refer to the details in the listing as to bed sizes, etc…12 guests can make it work with the air mattress.
I am currently painting the inside of the house room by room, so you may see some painter's tape in 1 said room. Thank you for overlooking this as it’s an ongoing DIY project.

Guest access
Guests have a private cabin all to themselves. They may feel free to wander around the property, venture onto the walking paths, walk in the creek, etc. The only space that is off limits is my cabin down the creek. Of course, if there is some kind of emergency, feel free to come find me.
Other things to note
While pets are allowed, there will be a $25 charge per day/per pet, paid to hosts upon arrival. I have a very friendly dog of my own on the property who free-roams. Also, if guests leave their pets in the cabin while they are gone, the pets must be crated.
Inside the cabin, the bathroom is equipped with an Incinolet toilet. I find that it is quite efficient if used properly. Instructions will be given upon arrival and are included on the wall in the bathroom.
We can only accommodate TWO guests at a time in the cabin due to the Incinolet's capability.

###Update, our cabin is coming along! Check out the new photos, including Pickles, our dwarf goat! We expect to be all ready by May 24th. We will add new photos weekly. ### Our campers can expect a new off the grid camp for the ultimate magical and romantic experience! The cabin is 18 x 16 feet, with a queen size bed, as well as a wicker day bed, that serves as a couch by day and bed by night. We do also have
REI BRAND tents for rent for an additional fee. We provide plates, utensils, cups, and some pans for cooking, and there is a gas grill provided. You will find a coffee maker with supplies for coffee, hot chocolate and tea. Electric power is run by a large Yeti battery for all your charging needs . Lots of solar powered lights and string lights around the trees for a wonderful ambience in the evenings.
Our extras include firewood at 10/bundle,as well as homemade cookies, breads, fresh eggs, muffins, and even cupcakes or cakes can be ordered if you are celebrating a special day. Just get in touch a week before trip to let me know exactly what to bake for you. We can also provide some simple meals upon request. You will have access to the entire space. You will experience lots of wildlife during your stay. Feel free to grill out and build a fire. The property is on a dead-end road, has a huge yard, and tons of parking. There is also a pond on sight if you like to fish. There are 2 back patios and a balcony off of the master upstairs.
The house easily sleeps 10. Please refer to the details in the listing as to bed sizes, etc…12 guests can make it work with the air mattress.
I am currently painting the inside of the house room by room, so you may see some painter's tape in 1 said room. Thank you for overlooking this as it’s an ongoing DIY project.

Several walking paths and bird boxes can be found throughout the property. It is a great place to write, paint, read, do yoga or just rejuvenate and "get right" with nature.

Guest access
Guests have a private cabin all to themselves. They may feel free to wander around the property, venture onto the walking paths, walk in the creek, etc. The only space that is off limits is my cabin down the creek. Of course, if there is some kind of emergency, feel free to come find me.
Other things to note
While pets are allowed, there will be a $25 charge per day/per pet, paid to hosts upon arrival. I have a very friendly dog of my own on the property who free-roams. Also, if guests leave their pets in the cabin while they are gone, the pets must be crated.
Inside the cabin, the bathroom is equipped with an Incinolet toilet. I find that it is quite efficient if used properly. Instructions will be given upon arrival and are included on the wall in the bathroom.
We can only accommodate TWO guests at a time in the cabin due to the Incinolet's capability.

Please request the use of the Fire Pit as it depends on wind conditions with crops growing in the fields.
We have a charcoal grill available for guest use. You must bring your own charcoal, lighting fluid, and matches. Please let us know if you use the grill so we can clean it out after the charcoal cools.

The campsite was very nice, with great personal touches and everything we needed during our stay. There were strings of lights hung throughout the main camp area, which was great for getting around at night. The large tent had everything one might need, from cookware and utensils, blankets, seating, as well as a bed AND a fan for cooling off. The entire setting was very pretty and relaxing, with the tent on a deck perched over large rocks with thoughtful mulched pathways throughout. It was a very nice place and our hosts were very easy to get in contact with, making sure we had a great time. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great campsite with extra perks.

We found this place online and we are so glad we did! A short girls trip with daughters and their kids, this location made us feel like we were secluded, yet safe. Miss Judy had so many extra touches and a cozy atmosphere. We also got a visit from their peacocks in the morning! We would definitely stay again. Great site and great hosts!

This is a wonderful place for a family getaway. The large rocks on which the yurt is set make the location truly spectacular. I highly recommend purchasing firewood to enjoy making s’mores together. My five-year-old daughter loved visiting the dogs on the property, as well as the chickens, peacocks, roosters, and goats. In the evening, the lights surrounding the yurt create a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere.

Absolutely beautiful property. Not far from Mammoth Cave. 2D was a fantastic host, answered all our questions, and made sure we had what we needed to have a good trip. Truly a kind and hospitable man. Stayed 3 nights in dream catcher. It felt like falling asleep on a cabin porch. Will definitely be back. Could see this being a fun place for kids. Lots of woods, a river, and buildings on the property to explore. First time using hipcamp. So happy it went as well as it did!

Barren River Magic is magical, indeed! The farm is breathtaking, the facilities are perfectly maintained, and 2d is so kind and helpful! We stayed in the RV and it was such a treat. Our dog absolutely loved splashing around in the river and just enjoyed being off-leash in general. I truly can’t recommend this place enough. 5 stars with no hesitation!

The stay was really nice! We enjoyed the fire in the evening and went in to the tent as the night went on. After it got cold enough, we used the gas heater and it was more than enough to keep us warm.
The potable water is limited, so if you need lots (cooking, cleaning) be sure to bring it in.
It was extremely private and lovely, but it looks like there may be a new cabin being built at the top of a very nearby hill which would make the place much less private. We prefer solo private spots, so we might need to check on this for future stays.

On the Rocks is such a rare and stunning place to camp! We really enjoyed the cozy fall setup inside the tent — it felt so welcoming and thoughtful. The fresh pumpkin bread was absolutely delicious, and the eggs are a must-try… so tasty!!
We had a great time exploring through the rocks and woods, and even though the site is right beside a road, there wasn’t much traffic at all during the weekend. It truly felt peaceful and semi-private.
This was such a refreshing and relaxing place to stay and spend quality time together. We’re so glad we found this gem and can’t wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Barren River Magic
The peace pipe is a campers refuge! I loved the lower level sitting area, brought along flowers and a tablecloth and it made for a beautiful meditation/yoga sanctuary. The upstairs sleeping loft was a reprieve from the heat and had the best views of the land! Mostly, we spent our free time star gazing and strolling the river. It was an amazing getaway and we can't wait to come back!

This is hands down one of my top Hip Camps Ive been to! Not far from Mammoth Cave at all, plus the surrounding countryside is gorgeous. We had a lovely, peaceful stay in the glamping tent which felt like a hotel after tent camping! Boots, the cat concierge, checked on us several times to make sure we were enjoying our stay, which we loved! Overall, this was an amazing stay and I wish we had planned to stay longer. We will definitely be back! Also being able to shower on a five day camping trip was a dream.
