Our remote 375 acres part farm and part natural woodland nestled up to Daniel Boone Forest is ideal for hikers and nature lovers. There are several hiking trails onsite and plenty of woods to explore. ATVs or side by sides are welcome to be used on the main gravel roads and some designated areas of our property. There is plenty of wildlife but NO hunting is allowed. Some of our designated tent sites do have firepits and/or picnic tables. Our trek in sites do not have those options. Pets are welcome for $10 per pet/per booking and they do need to be leashed/under control at all times. This is an extra so please be sure to add that if you plan to bring your pet. Two of us stayed in the Cottage. The cottage was really nicely decorated and spacious. It had a lot of windows for views with thick curtains for night. There is a full size stove and literally 28 outlets. The greenhouse shower was nice and the water got hot quickly even though it was only 39°F outside. The toilet is an outhouse vault toilet like a porta potty but it does have an electric light and lots of tp. The hosts were helpful and chill. We mostly were there to visit the mounds and caves so we didn't explore much of the property but I think you could have a nice weekend just hanging around the farm. It was also a very reasonable price and close to what we wanted to see. I would definitely recommend it

This was a very cute and cozy cabin on a private lot. Its has a great dock to sit, drink coffee, and read a book. The fire pit has a grate which was very convenient. The porch was idyllic and probably my favorite spot on the property. There were lots of birds and butterflies to watch. We had a great time.

Amazing! Basil was super informative and up-front with all needed info. We arrived after dark - Basil simply popped out from next door, checked if we were okay, and left us be. I really appreciated the later check-out - gave us time to use the hot tub in the AM. And of course, that outdoor shower - GREAT!

This cabin and property is absolutely beautiful 😍. So peaceful and serene and QUIET! Hosts thought of absolutely everything. Early morning canoeing and being right up in the face of nature was so incredible. That upper back porch was everything! Spent so much time there just listening to nature sounds and watching the hummingbirds. Hosts were very kind and attentive when needed. Can't wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Possum Ridge Ranch

As a solo female camper I felt 100% safe here. The hosts are way cool! Gorgeous property, very spacious, accommodates a variety of tastes from quiet solo to fun groups. The "fun barn" has games, a kitchen, music and even a claw machine (don't try for the stuffed turtle). Great trails and the friendliest ducks ever. I'm going back! Oh yeah - as mentioned in the listing it's best to get there before sundown, the roads are ridge/hollow twisty without lights. Signage at the ranch is great. Truly a special place.

We had such an amazing experience staying in the treehouse. The children loved the slide on the balcony and the giant net hammock. The treehouse is well-equipped with electrical lights, fans, outlets, a space heater, and an A/C window unit. There are several miles of hiking trails to explore on the property, and we enjoyed crossing the net bridge and seeing the ruins of the 19th-century settler's cabin. Everything looked just like the pictures, and my kids were so sad to leave--they said they want to live there forever!

Nice quiet property with nice lake/pond. Getting to Daniel Boone National Forest was easy and the town of Mt. Sterling, and its history, is worth going to the Honey Hut in and of itself. Scott was very awesome. I mixed up my reservation dates and Scott worked it out the day of and really helped out. I would definitely recommend this property.

Perfect place for kids (5 and 4). They loved the treehouse. I appreciated all the whimsical things on the property: we hiked the hobbit trail, played in camp creek for hours, crossed it on the rope bridge, swung on all sorts of swings, brushed wind chimes, and knocked out most of the scavenger hunt.

Wonderful hosts!! More was provided than I had even anticipated, and Jonah was very friendly. The outdoor shower is incredible, too. I would come back for sure
