Enjoy 6 acres of wooded serenity in this tiny bunkhouse that sleeps 4 comfortably or 5 if you use the cot! Bunkhouse is for sleeping! The rest of your stay should be spent walking/hiking the property - finding one of 20 nearby hiking trails on the Arc of Appalachia! Hunters welcome for off property hunting only. Serpant Mound is a 15 minute drive! Sit round the fire pit or hike the Brush Creek Forest which is accessible from the property! This property is shared with a larger cabin that will not be used while you are there. Bring a tent if you have more guests! 4 wheel drive is recommended to get up the hill where the bunk house sits. However - you can always park at the bottom of the hill and walk up if you don’t have 4 wheel drive. There is a clean and private out house twenty yards from the bunkhouse, electric and drinking water available (no running water). The bunkhouse sits at the top of a steep hill, opening up to a flat area with space for a couple of vehicles, a firepit, and your picnic table. It’s the perfect spot to relax, unplug, and enjoy nature and the Lil Smokies of Ohio. Guests are welcome to explore the private 6-acre property or hike directly into nearby Brush Creek State Forest and find many additional trails and outdoor adventure. Don't miss hundreds of trails on the nearby Arch of Appalachia or Serpant's Mound. (15 minute drive). This cozy bunkhouse comfortably sleeps four guests - 3 is best as one of the beds would be shared. The living space is compact, no indoor table. We hope you spend most of your time enjoying the outdoors! **Amenities Include:** * Small kitchenette cubby * Coleman gas grill (for outdoor use only) * Small George Foreman grill * 3–5 gallons of potable water * French press (please bring your own coffee and food) * Basic dishes and utensils * Outdoor cooler (bring ice if you’d like to use it) Bunkhouse has electric but no running water. Drinking water available. Tents are permitted for additional guests (up to 4 total guests on the property). Guests have access to a private, locked outhouse located about 30 yards from the bunkhouse. Please note: there is **no running water** onsite. There is low amp electricity for your convenience. For cooler nights, there is a small space heater available, or you’re welcome to use the wood-burning stove. Please make sure you KNOW how to and are comfortable to use a wood-burning stove. Please bring your own firewood, though a small amount will be provided to get you started. Be sure to explore nearby attractions like The Arc of Appalachia and Brush Creek State Forest for hiking and outdoor activities. We kindly ask that you clean up after yourself and pack out all trash when you leave. Come unwind and enjoy the quiet beauty of the outdoors!
