Trace Space KY

1 site · Lodging1 acre · Wellington, KY
A unique transforming A-frame camping cabin occupies a compact area, certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a wildlife habitat yard and recognized as a certified garden and monarch waystation through monarchwatch.org. TSKY is located 3 miles from Long Bow boat dock on Cave Run Lake, 10 minutes from the Sheltowee Trace National Recreational Trail, and 18 miles to the adventures in the Red River Gorge. Outdoor seekers and enthusiasts will appreciate the nature trails, the lake's pristine waters, and the opportunity to explore the Daniel Boone National Forest or to simply rest and unplug. There are short hikes within a 20-minute drive each offering its own unique discovery: arches, an overlook, a cave, and a 60-foot waterfall nestled within a small scenic canyon. With so much natural beauty to explore, your stay at our A-frame camping cabin is a perfect base place to Embrace Nature's Pace. ***HEADS UP! The 'Bourbon Brood' cicadas have officially emerged in E. KY — and they are everywhere! Expect a loud chorus at TSKY, especially over the next several weeks. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this may not be the ideal time to visit. That said, we embrace their presence because of their important role in the ecosystem. They do not bite or sting. The males are the singers! And they are great snacks for the birds and other wildlife. If you would like to learn more head to our IG page, click the link in our bio to check out the latest blog posts about the cicadas. ***Guests are reminded that defecating or urinating in the changing building next to the a-frame, on the gravel, or anywhere other than the porta-potty is strictly prohibited. Any violation will result in a substantial cleaning fee being added to rental charges.***

Treehouses, Off the Grid!

5 sites · Lodging285 acres · Germantown, KY
Owned by my Dad who said I could build a tree house on it in 2014. It really was a dream come true. My Dad's original intent was to make it into a huge farm. Now, he is content with building a few treehouses! I have wanted a tree house since I was 10 years old. My siblings and I would spend hours make believing our own tree houses of twigs, rock and moss. It was where we felt at peace. When I turned 35 I knew something was missing in my life. I returned to doing fun adventures again and one led to another and we found tree climbing. EarthJOY tree adventures was founded in 2007 and since then we have guided 1000's of climbers into the trees and watch as they do tree tricks like yoga poses and coming down like spiderman. This land is magical and a world of adventure awaits you!
