Weekend Trip to Cedar Ridge Cabin
It was fun even in the winter. Ain't nothing like a wood stove. There was a little mouse around but its winter and they like to be warm too. Made a fire outside, it fell real nice.

Weekend Trip to The Honey Hut
This was a very cute and cozy cabin on a private lot. Its has a great dock to sit, drink coffee, and read a book. The fire pit has a grate which was very convenient. The porch was idyllic and probably my favorite spot on the property. There were lots of birds and butterflies to watch. We had a great time.

We had an amazing time hiking the trails and staying overnight in the cabin. It was very cozy with us and our pups, everything was clean and exactly as described. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and the dogs absolutely loved it!! We would LOVE to come back. Thank you for having us.

1 night at Mollys Ridge Glamping and Camping
The stay was really nice! We enjoyed the fire in the evening and went in to the tent as the night went on. After it got cold enough, we used the gas heater and it was more than enough to keep us warm.
The potable water is limited, so if you need lots (cooking, cleaning) be sure to bring it in.
It was extremely private and lovely, but it looks like there may be a new cabin being built at the top of a very nearby hill which would make the place much less private. We prefer solo private spots, so we might need to check on this for future stays.

This cabin and property is absolutely beautiful 😍. So peaceful and serene and QUIET! Hosts thought of absolutely everything. Early morning canoeing and being right up in the face of nature was so incredible. That upper back porch was everything! Spent so much time there just listening to nature sounds and watching the hummingbirds. Hosts were very kind and attentive when needed. Can't wait to come back!

Being near the water is lovely, especially at twilight. You can see lots of critters, especially birds: herons, hummingbirds, buntings, etc. The amenities were really nice. A pretty luxurious getaway!

Nice quiet property with nice lake/pond.
Getting to Daniel Boone National Forest was easy and the town of Mt. Sterling, and its history, is worth going to the Honey Hut in and of itself.
Scott was very awesome. I mixed up my reservation dates and Scott worked it out the day of and really helped out. I would definitely recommend this property.

I loved the whole cabin set-up. The farm is easy to find which is great. The land is gorgeous beyond reason. The cabin itself was well situated on beautiful land with tons to do with outdoor activities. The beds are comfy and the whole cabin shows the love the Handys have had for their property. I recommend.

Our host, Josh Handy, was terrific. The location is a renovated pop up camper which he fashioned with wood from his grandfather’s 200 year old barn when it was torn down. It has an open barn about 30 yards away with very nice restroom facilities, H/C shower and an outdoor kitchen. The land itself comprises part of a farm with both open meadow and wooded trails. Perfect for travelers and dogs. Highly recommended!

The Cedar Ridge Cabin was impeccably clean and had the coolest off-grid gadgets! I maintained a similar cabin for several years and know how much work goes into such a spot. The craftsmanship and attention to detail at this cabin was inspiring to say the least! My son and I enjoyed the adventure hike down to the river and watching the nighttime critters in the field. Thank you for opening up this lovely spot to guests!

We loved staying in Danny’s cabin! Since we usually camp, this was the perfect mix of roughing it and glamping while still feeling like we were one with nature. Nothing was better than sitting on the porch and watching all the fireflies come out. Bring plenty of bug spray for the hike down to the river because there were lots of ticks.

Nice storage container house. Had everything you would need. Shower was fantastic. We hiked to the creek and explored. We fished in the small pond for some small fish. The games around the storage containers were fun for kids. Great place to visit.
