The staff is great very helpful and the camp showers were as clean and nice as a 5 star hotel I have been to a lot of campgrounds and the cleanest showers can't even compare to this place would definitely recommend this place very peaceful will definitely be back didn't want to leave

Tent camping in March for someone from the north means you could be the only ones. The site was as advertised and we appreciated being closer to the parking area as we are incredibly unorganized and had to make many trips back to the car Thanks for the nice stay and great instructions on getting to the site Shower was amazing

This was a great camp spot! Carrie and Scott are very nice and their farm has a lot of options for setting up depending on what type of experience you want. It was my first time using this app but this was such a good experience I feel much more comfortable doing more hipcamping!

It was a nice, clean campground, but definitely geared toward rigs with their own toilets. The wash house was quite a ways away from the sites, which was not very convenient on a very rainy night.

Every thing went perfectly and it was the perfect spot. My 24 ft camper set perfectly , the location was perfect and my German shepherd fit perfectly. It was the perfect spot and the host was just absolutely amazing. I would recommend this to anyone. Good luck getting it before I get back to it. It is just the perfect campsite

The entire property is thoughtfully composed with a generous host and beautiful surroundings with creek and river explorations, hiking trails, and bonfire ability. You have the option to be quite private or communal in your experience. Love this space and 2d as a host so much.

Weekend Trip to Barren River Magic

Loved the property. We had the whole place to ourselves and had a blast exploring the river, the trails, and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We tent camped, and the tent camping site made you feel miles away from civilization. Only thing we heard from our camp were coyotes and birds. We checked out the glamping options while exploring the property and might’ve picked out a couple we want to try out on our next visit. The host was incredibly kind, they provided firewood and led us to a great camping spot, and were very welcoming. We’ll definitely be back.

This site lives up to the name magic, 100%. Gorgeous, peaceful, well spaced out, just a lovely spot to be, the land feels GOOD. Highly recommend any of the glampsites, although primitive campers have great location options. The glamps are creative, well appointed, and each has a whimsy unique to itself. And don’t miss getting in the River, it’s cold but worth it!

Chatty Heifer Farm

The family we bought the farm from owned and farmed it since 1900. They built a cabin then and built a house around the cabin in 1920. We bought it in 2018 and have been renovating it to build a retreat center for first responders and others who serve unselfishly. To that end, we've cut hiking trails and campsites as well as filling the farm with livestock to help people slow down and de-stress. Canaan Land Farm

Our 300 acre farm was owned by a high ranking officer in the Civil war(not sure if it was North or South). Our log barn is one of the oldest structures in the area and is still mostly standing! We are a working farm with cattle, horses, and a lot of chickens, geese, ducks and turkey, bees, cat, and our dog. Local gossip says that a previous owner had a fish hatchery here and flew the fish out of the airstrip in the upper field. Apparently he was drunk and crashed his plane somewhere on the farm. We love the diversity and abundance of wildlife found here and hope you love it too!Learn more about this land:Campsites are on top of a hill in the forest above Big Creek, on a cliff line facing west. Campers enjoy the peace and privacy of nature on our Civil War era 300 acre farm. Walk down to the creek to wade, collect rocks, or bird watch. Beautiful native wildflower display in the springtime, and many opportunities for wildlife viewing year round. Green River Lake is 20 miles away and Lake Cumberland is 30 miles away.
