Our lodging features treehouses, yurts, a bunkhouse, retro camper, water/electric hook-ups, and campsites. We also host weddings, retreats, and other events so advance reservations are required. For insurance purposes and the safety of our own livestock and pets, we do not allow guests to bring their pets/ESAs onto the property. Prepare to UNPLUG as we do not have cell service or wifi (there IS a landline for guests to make phone calls located in the Community Farmhouse). All guests from tent to treehouse have access to our solar-powered Community Farmhouse featuring a fully-stocked chef-inspired kitchen, restrooms, coin-op laundry, and upstairs multi-purpose room with a library and board games. There is also an outdoor kitchen area with additional cooking space including a grill, microwave, and sink (sink is closed in the winter so the pipes don’t freeze). Next to the Farmhouse is a massive pavilion with picnic tables for al fresco dining and firewood bundles to purchase. BRING CASH! Our seasonal bath house is generally open from April or May to October or November based on the prevailing temps. There are 4 flush toilets, 2 sinks, and 2 hot showers. The floors are concrete so we recommend shower shoes and you'll want to bring your own towels and shampoo/soap. The farm has a small playground, yard games, creeks, and a steep and rugged hiking trail that loops the mountain. We're also just 8 miles from the hiking trails at the Berea College Pinnacles, 8 miles to Owsley Fork Reservoir, 20 minutes to Anglin Falls, 12 miles to Berea, 35 minutes to Richmond, Ky, and a scenic hour to Red River Gorge. For other activities, restaurants, shopping, music, and more, we're happy to share our favorites, but highly recommend checking out the Berea Tourism website.

There are several hiking trails onsite and plenty of woods to explore. ATVs or side by sides are welcome to be used on the main gravel roads and some designated areas of our property. Red River Rewind is a small glamping community that is themed off of the owner’s passion for different genre music, vintage, antique history and memorabilia. Currently still a work in progress, we offer a customized bell tent which sits on a 20 x 30 platform deck, with a customized, insulated, fully functioning outhouse which has a shower, commode, and sink that allows endless hot water. “Elvira” is our cozy small cabin. Both have electricity, and water, and full bathroom accessibility at their own site. “Hey Jude” also offers a small wood burning stove to accommodate for cooler temperatures with an Eden pure heater, and fans for warmer weather days, and mobile AC. ELVIRA has a window AC unit and heating with small unit. The customized fully furnished bathroom just steps away from the tent, offers endless hot water. There is also a water spicket just a few steps away from the deck. Note that should the wood stove want to be used, guests need to supply their own SMALL pieces of wood as it is a miniature fireplace. The cabin will be designed with a mini split heating and air system, in the future. WiFi is not currently available though an amenity that is upcoming in the very near future, fiber internet being installed mid July 2025. Cell phone access is good in our area typically. Red River Rewind has common shared amenities to include: a 3/4 acre fully stocked pond which is available for simply viewing its beauty as the fountain flows, or catch and release fishing as seasonally available, many family and friend oriented activities to choose from to check out and return such as cornhole, large checkers, and many more. As time and weather permits, we plan to expand with really neat projects and extras in upcoming months, and would love to have visitors passing through our beautiful area who need or want a place to stay or locals who just want a little change of scenery. We are simple, ordinary people who just want to share some of the things we love about life with others. On a clear note, there are beautiful images of the stars here. You will also have accessibility to a telescope.

ATTRACTIONS: Goldenrod Gap is a peaceful refuge nestled in the mountains of eastern Kentucky, in Menifee County, 25 min. from Red River Gorge, 30 min. to Nada tunnel, 40 min. These hills have a variety of trails from rustic to groomed, which are open to foot traffic only. You will find many species of vegetation and natural resources, which range from easy, moderate to strenuous, distances vary, short hikes take minutes. A few hikes take longer and have more strenuous terrain. There are native trees, which includes Tulip Poplar, (the Kentucky state tree), giant oaks (hundreds of years old), several variety of pine trees, holly, hemlock, beech, ironwood, sassafras, box elder and maple. Take a walk, take pictures and bring a picnic lunch. There are beautiful flowering goldenrod, and many pollinators and forest wildflowers. Pollinator magnets definitely lure numerous birds and insects for your viewing pleasure. There are beautiful rock ledges to enjoy as well. CAMPSITES: #1 The RV campsite is easily accessed from the highway and includes water, electricity, septic dump station, shower, restroom and high speed internet. Cross over the bridge, entrance is limited to shorter trailers under 30 feet. Turn left and cross over a small creek and arrive at your site. Park in the designated area. Video surveillance is on site. Site # 2 has a furnished Whiteduck 16' bell tent and sitting atop a wooden deck. Two rustic sites are available on a scenic overlook with an outdoor toilet nearby. Stop in after a day on the trails, cliffs or Cave Run lake in the area. Pitch a tent and sleep under a display of stars, especially if you are on the ridgeline. Weekend Trip to Shasta Valley

Quiet, scenic, and we'll kept! It's obviously a very lived property. Shocked by the lack of mosquitoes, too! As someone who is allergic to them, I always anticipate a certain level of bite related discomfort while camping, but had 0 issues!

Absolutely perfect! Everyone spent the entire 5 days fishing! Kitchen was well equipped. Puppy dog got to run around freely for the first time. Will definitely be back. We drove 4.5 hrs to get there!

The property is wonderful! We caught blue gill and bass in the pond and got to enjoy a campfire at night. The beds are very comfortable. There is no microwave just so you know, but there is a coffee pot in the cabinet just bring your own coffee. Otherwise the kitchen is nice and also the outdoor grill. We thoroughly enjoyed our little stay!

Weekend Trip to Boone Valley Campground

I absolutely enjoyed my stay here! Ben was a wonderful host and definitely exceeded my expectations. He was extremely kind and socialized with my mom and I quite a bit. The cabin was also super cute and comfy. The property in its entirety was incredible. So much hard work and ALL built by Ben himself. I would highly recommend this Boone Valley Campground to anyone passing through!

This was our second time staying at the exquisite Harrican Lakehouse and it was just as magical as the first! The setting is picture-perfect, private, serene, and tranquil. What makes this place truly special is how incredible it is for the entire family—our group ranged from 2 years old to 75 years old, and everyone (including our pup!!) had the absolute best time. Our days were filled with fishing, kayaking, and swimming, starting with peaceful morning coffee on the porch and ending around the glow of the firepit telling stories. Bridgett and Aaron have an amazing eye for detail and comfort. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and there is just so much more that makes this place feel like home. Bridgett and Aaron are welcoming, highly communicative, and incredibly helpful. We will most certainly be back for a third time!!!

I can't say enough about this wonderful experience! Upon arrival, the host, Brigitte, greeted us with her sweet dogs! She was so pleasant and welcoming! The house itself sits on its own little pond/lake which has kayaks/canoes for use. At night the bullfogs were the most peaceful sound! We enjoyed exploring the grounds and the tranquility of the setting. The beds were comfortable and the house nice and tidy. I would highly recommend this spot!

Absolutely amazing little lake house! It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The home was cozy, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was incredibly helpful, kind, and responsive throughout our visit. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely return in the future! A helpful tip for future guests: the lake house is about 30 minutes away from the nearest stores, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead and bring any essentials you may need. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a great getaway!

If you are looking for seclusion and off the grid without interruptions. This is your place. I would say they have dogs that greet you at the entrance and chase your car. So if you have a very reactive dog like we do it wasn't a good experience. Once you get past that it's awesome. I would say it comfortably sleeps five people.

Weekend Trip to The Harrican Lakehouse

We loved our stay at the Harrican lakehouse. It is so secluded and quiet making it a great place to unplug and unwind. It rained most of the weekend but we didn’t care, the large covered porch kept us dry and was the perfect spot to relax and watch our dog play in the lake. My advice about the property: it is remote so pack in all the food you need. A trip to town will be take a while. The house does have steep stairs that lead to the bedrooms and the only bathroom in the house. We didn’t have any issues with it, but it could be an issue for those with limited mobility. Overall, this is a great, unique place to spend a weekend (or longer) if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet place to relax and unwind. I would highly recommend.

Bridgett was a very helpful and superb host. The land and pond were beautiful. Had fun catching several bluegills and a few bass and releasing. This is the most peaceful cabin we've been to. Elbert & Loretta Colwell
