Base Camp features a quarry pond for fishing and small watercraft's, large open fields for recreation and a bike skills course perfect for beginners and seasoned riders alike. Currently, we do not offer tent camping.
Our RV spots are located in our paved parking lot. Each rental includes water, 30 and 50 amp electric and sewer hookups.

Livestock encounters are also available with owners in attendance. All proceeds are put back in the farm to care for the animals and the land. Parking area is at the end of the driveway and a cart is provided to take your gear across the bridge. We love kids and will provide lawn darts or any other games we have available if requested. Such a fun weekend campground for our family. The kids loved the farm animals, there were baby goats that the kids were in love with and gave them lots of snuggles. We rented fishing poles and a kayak and paddle boards, and paid 15$ for all the firewood we could burn. The owner and staff were helpful, even bright the firewood and got the fire going for us.
The only downside is that they are right next to a train track, so be prepared for some train horns.

Amazing experience with an RV for our family of 4! We rented an RV for the 1st time and found Base Camp as a comprehensive site that had every amenity you could think of. There is full hook-up for RV's and full service cabins. The property is beautiful and extremely well kept. Very relaxing. It is conveniently located walkable to downtown Humboldt. During the cold days, there was a space to hang out with tables, chairs, games, and a pool table. There are bikes to use on the trial, rentable e-bikes, and firewood available for purchase to use in the innumerable fire pits across the property. The kids spent a lot of time on the pond in kayaks and paddle boats. Additionally, while we were there, there was a wood-fired sauna we used which was incredible. The best part of the experience was getting to know Jon. He is an AMAZING host. So kind and informative to our family. He made us feel truly at home. We will 100% be back!

We enjoyed taking our camper to Base Camp. The hook-up was great. We enjoyed the pond and the paddle boards so much. The bike barn WiFi was great for finishing my work before the weekend started. Shower houses were so clean! Beautiful property and Jon was great!

Absolutely amazing site! Steven went above and beyond my expectations. We showed up with 4 kids between the ages of 5 and 12, and he pulled no stops entertaining them, including walking his horse down to our campsite for the kids to pet. Be sure to ask him what his record is with the ax throwing!!!😉😆 we will definitely be returning.

Base Camp was my first experience with my new-to-me camper and Hipcampers and it was a great experience!
Base Camp is set up very well...easy to get in and out of - especially for anyone with little experience. The pull through spots are very wide. Although I didn't get to use the free to use bicycles or canoes on this trip I did check them out and they are very well taken care of.
The Camp was peaceful and although it's just off the roadway it was very quiet with very little road noise.
I will be back!

I just can’t say enough wonderful things about this experience. The hosts are so kind and caring. The camping spot was in a clearing with a short walk across a bridge. There was a great fire pit and Layne kept it stocked with wood. He even provided a gas torch that made starting fires easy and fun. In addition to this beautiful, quiet camping spot….a nearby fairy cove was beautifully situated which made for hours of reading. In the middle of the pasture, a gated area with additional space for hanging out with the animals was a two minute walk from my camping spot. All weekend long, I enjoyed getting to know all the animals. Each animal has a name and a personality. I loved the horses but quickly began to appreciate the cattle, alpacas, llama, pig, cats and dogs. The rescued animals are healthy, well-fed and loved. It was the most restful and unique camping experience. The owners added some great fall/Halloween decorations that thrills the kid in all of us. Kids would really benefit from this environment. I had no problem getting cell service but wouldn’t have minded either way. The sunsets were especially gorgeous. The hosts left me to myself but didn’t mind when I had questions- they are so smart. I enjoyed my stay so much I added another day on. I got to take my gravel bike out and explore all the nearby areas. Being able to bike was an added bonus. I am already excited to bring my grandson back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The campsites were nice and level, making setup easy. Campers have access to a beautiful pond surrounded by trees — perfect for relaxing. The paddle boats and provided life jackets were a fun bonus, and we loved having bikes available and easy access to the nearby bike trail.
A couple of things could be improved: the grounds could use more frequent mowing, and a larger trash receptacle for campers would be helpful. Overall, it’s a peaceful and enjoyable spot, and we’d definitely come back!

My wife and I loved it.
We were passing through and needed a spot for the night . Found Base Camp on HipCamp and loved it.
We had the property to ourselves, after dinner took a walk around the very well kept grounds. There are bikes and canoes for use to people staying and about 8 little cabins for a glamping getaway.
Would definitely stay again only next time longer.
