This was a fantastic hidden piece of heaven! Tucked in the bohemian hills! You get to see lots of nature and the animals on the farm! I definitely recommend the feeding cups and the goat social! So fun! The kids loved having fresh hot waffles made by me in the morning! Add the Belgian waffles to your stay it was delicious! I loved Staying in the queen armadillo yurt, I feel It was the best view looking down on the animals and the hills all around! Jessica was so sweet and answered so many questions we all had! She was very prompt on communicating via text! If full blown camping isn’t your favorite you must try the yurt! We went beginning of July it was super hot but the yurt has an air conditioner! It was very hot when we first arrived and got it running but promise it will cool off after a few hours while you explore! I will Add there is a running toilet you can use which is a nice option tucked way in back behind their living space (completely separate) still connected! Outdoor shower available if needed but we only stayed one night so didn’t need to use it! One last thing, which is so much fun is she will let some of the animals out of their pens, so you may be taking a stroll and a few horses or pigs may surprise you just around the tree bends! We will go again! Maybe in the fall to see what we like best for time of year!

This place was amazing. I heard from a friend what it was like but it exceeded my expectations! Every second we were there was magical and memory making. Jess is an amazing host and goes out of her way to make you feel so welcomed. We did the bubbles and waffles for my 4 year old grandson. He will remember this the rest of his life and wants to go back already. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We just finished our second visit and had a fun relaxing visit- even with pouring rain. We were snug and dry in the yurt. The kids enjoyed interacting with the farm animals. Our hosts are great people too!

What a hidden gem! Jess's created a wonderful adventure for people of all ages. This was a short getaway for my granddaughter and me. We decided on the chalet which has a perfect view of the barnyard from slightly up the hill but short walk to interact with all her animals. We walked her trails, fed every critter (mama & baby goats, llamas, potbelly pigs, horses, rabbits, ducks) and enjoyed a lovely thunderstorm from the porch. Despite the rain, we were able to enjoy all she offers. I would highly recommend the waffle breakfast delivered to our chalet and the llama hike. No regrets and would love to visit again with my other family. Jess was very quick to communicate and flexible with our requests (added the llama hike last minute).

Loved the house. Car got stuck in the mud where you park for the Hobbit House and bathrooms were really far from the house. Other than that it was a great time.

A truly magical place! Any one of the options to stay here seem enchanted. While we stayed at the hobbit house, we are seriously considering revisiting to try each option out. The ambiance was relaxing and pure. They have thought of everything to make your stay as peaceful as can be. Things like doggy bags (yes-dogs r welcome) and flashlights and umbrellas and walking sticks and so much more. My boys and I enjoyed walking the mowed grass paths with hidden gems along the way. Definitely gonna by a weekend as a gift for my daughter n her husband.

I highly suggest booking ahead of time so the check in process goes smoothly. But overall the campground was nice quality, quiet, and had a lot of kid activity options like playgrounds and play structures. We stayed in the cabins, but the tv spaces were nice and spaced out and saw lots of land for camping. The staff was helpful in ensuring the guest experience went well.

The little cabin is was nice! We really enjoyed our stay. The office manager/co-director was on top of anything we needed. She even brought us firewood!! The only thing I would add is the cabin is part of a larger camp. So there is no guarantee you will have it all to yourself as the description says. However, it was very quiet and we were not disturbed any other campers. I would recommend 10 out of 10!

We loved staying at the magical hobbit house on the hill of the farm. The decor, instruments, and a private fire pit was perfect. So much to explore, play, and loved the variety of animals on the property. The trails and around and to the sites were beautifully well done. Will be returning with more friends and family next time. Thank you for sharing a piece of the Iowa farm life with awesome accommodations!

We loved staying in the Queen Armadillo yurt. It was comfortable and spacious with plenty of room for the 5 of us to stay. I appreciated the kitchen set up stocked with coffee and dishes. The land is gorgeous and the animals were obviously loved and cared for. The roaming peacocks set a vibe for sure. We enjoyed the deck and used the large net/hammock the most. The bathroom is a walk down and up a hill so keep that in mind for your mobility but it was not a problem for us. We did the goat social and Belgian waffle breakfast bar as well.

We love Windy Goat Acres! Jessica was a fantastic host and helped to make our stay super memorable. We did a goat social to get up close and snuggly with baby goats and the big goats. Then later we did apple bits and bunny sits. My family loved every minute of it! All of the animals are so sweet. We can’t wait to come back! 10 out of 10 🙌

Beautiful property, loved the horses walking through and experiencing all the animals including the cat, Big Red! Best part of our trip to Iowa for sure. It is remote so make sure to bring your food with you. Highly recommend to anyone!

The cabin was beautiful, with so many books and games! The shared outdoor shower was so relaxing, there was a rainbow circling me from the sun hitting the water, very magical. We could only stay one night, but we managed to see the animals in the morning. We were greeted by a massive peacock and a ton of kittens.

Weekend Trip to Beyonder Getaway at Lazy Acres
It’s a very nice campground. I was supposed to get one for the cabins but a mistake was made and my cabin given away. The staff was very nice and they upgraded me to the house that’s on the grounds. The house was nice and clean but I missed having the experience of the cabins is booked. Also, the WiFi would not connect to the TVs in the house. The owner did call me personally to check on my stay the next day which was a nice, personal touch.
