We live in the country on a working grain farm (corn and soybeans).
It can get noisy and dusty during harvest and grain hauling operations.
You could wake up to deer eating grain around the bins. In the evenings,
you can look down to the East by tree line for deer and turkey.
We can handle any size RV.
Please pick up after your dogs. We have guest children that play in yard.
All spots are level.
All electric sites are 30/50 and are for year-round use.
We have 9 sites with electric and city water.
3 sites are gravel.
4 sites are grass.
2 are concrete.
We also have a large primitive camping area west of the grain bins in open yard (no electric or water).
Rv parking is available on grass when ground is hard or on the concrete and gravel driveway when soft.
We have one picnic table for campers’ use.
There is a trail we keep mowed North East of the hay barn alongside the crops, which is great for walking/dog run.
Gray water may be dumped in the farm field; the crops love it.
Sorry, we can no longer recommend black water dump stations as the local campgrounds are refusing non-customer use.
Whistling Donkey in Woodward has a dump station; you can call them and ask if you can use it (515) 438-2669.
You can be as private or engaged with us as you feel.
Dumpster is by machine shed.
There are 30+ local TV channels (no cable available).
Open southern skies for satellite use.
The lights automatically turn off at 10 PM. Fire pit is available for your use. Firewood is available East of the barn. Fire Pit light dims down to 15% after 10 PM. Yard lights also come on for one minute at Noon every day. Stargazing really pops at night on a clear night. You are welcome to turn lights back on and continue outdoor activities and use fire pit as long as you do not disturb other campers.
Mouse and weather vane lights stay on all night for your convenience.
Please do not put trash in fire pit. (I have to clean it out)
We would prefer if guests arrive before dark; we like to settle down for the evening.

(stay on R18 do not go straight North onto the gravel) in 1 mile turn right to the North still on R18 for 3 miles turn right to the East on gravel 300th St for 1/3 mile. From Ames: Head West on highway 30 to Highway 17 go South for 5 miles to Luther turn right on E57 to the West for 7 miles. This was a gem of a find. We booked this last minute, and Ryan was incredibly responsive and welcoming. The place is immaculate and well-kept and it is clear they have put thought into the layout and to the amenities for RVers. We were the only ones staying that night. We were able to walk around and enjoy the tree farm and play with the dogs. It was a super peaceful night. What a beautiful place! It is worth the 10 mile trek off of 35 for such a peaceful lovely place with water and electric!
Bonus there is a free RV dump station in Iowa Falls, right next to the armory. Huge pull in and easy access for any size RV.

Experienced camper or newbie, this is a great spot! Very quiet. River just a few feet away for water-based activities (fishing, kayaking, etc.) and some floofy cows that for the most part were quiet at night. Hosts were available and helpful, but left you to your devices. Town of Lake City is nearby for quick supply run and a Casey's pizza. Public camping spot also just down the road. Highlight of the trip was farm dog Fergus who dropped by to check on us in the morning and keep the critters away.

Beautiful and quiet property and Hosts were more than accommodating to our needs. They made sure we had proper directions, and were there to greet us before we pulled up. Gave us a tour of the property so we could to pick the best spot. Firewood, water/electric hook up were an extra added bonus. Definitely a Hidden Gem.

Our stay here was delightful and peaceful. Mark and his wife were incredibly kind and we were fortunate to spend some time with them by the campfire and the free wood. The farm has been in the family for over 150 years – amazing! The site was very quiet, level and had both electrical and water hookups. We highly recommend this site.

This spot is the quietest I’ve experienced yet. The sound of the river is very faint and the cows are quite as well 🙂. The host is very hospitable. Their livestock watchdog and a few donkeys to add to the livestock protection make for a wonderful experience.

I tried out my new RTT and annex and there was plenty of places to set up. Great firewood and fire pit. It was far enough away from the farm to have privacy. I packed in water, toilet, electricity and didn’t need to rely on the site. We had family and small children visit and it was great for that as well.

This was our first Hipcamp experience..and was it awesome!! Everything was so well cared for. All our needs were met and then some!! We loved sitting on the dock watching the boaters, found a great spot just down the road to put in our kayaks. Having firewood there was awesome!
The patio by the Lake was so well laid out it was easy to enjoy the Lake!!

Tyler and Sarah were so nice, meeting us the moment we arrived. We were given the option of a few sites and essentially, anywhere really. The space we set up camp at was like a shire tucked away not far from the main yard and bathroom. But somehow felt totally secluded. Our music didn't even cut through the trees.
The dogs got to run their butts off, we soaked up the gurgling creek and hooting owls. We will definitely be back.
My personal highlight-
The cows. Next time I need to meet and pet the pig!

We loved staying at Mary's RV site on Silver Lake! Beautiful view of the lake and the best part is so private and secluded being the only hook up site on the property!!! Full hook-ups for RV was a big bonus. A wonderful and beautiful spot and so quiet, relaxing and a peaceful place. Mary was a great host and took good care of us checking in on us and making sure we were safe and she responded super quick anytime we had questions.
