Nice farm, quiet and peaceful. I don't know if there was more than one site. I think I had the only one which made for a very peaceful stay. There was electric, water, and sewer right there. A small town just 10 minutes away.

The portajohn was in the middle of the view of the river and disgusting (need to be cleaned/emptied). There was only 1/2 a picnic table available for use. The views are of the river were amazing!

We had such a lovely stay here! The site was just as described and had such a peaceful view. The owners were so kind and even brought us farm fresh strawberries to enjoy! There was plenty of privacy and lots of peace and quiet. Highly recommend this place!

The electricity and water was very handy the front desk at the store were very helpful and this is just a great place to stay the showers and the toilet was very clean the park was very clean

We really like the Campground. Nice secluded area. Most of them are campsites for tenting. But the six sites that were available for our fifth wheel trailer were really nice. Lots of things to do at the campground. Some beautiful sites on the water. The Campground host was quite helpful.

Spots were level, views were great. We had two rigs with 30ft trailers that traversed both the entrance and exits with ease. Randy’s communication was great, highly recommend!

Polly’s land right on the bank of the Ohio River had recently flooded. It was still beautiful and peaceful. We appreciated that Polly made a special trip to help us with a lock and key issue , on a rainy Friday night! The carport shelter was great in the rain, camping in our van.

7 nights at A Notch Above-RV Riverside Campsite

November 2024 camping.....Randy was very responsive and kind. Great for a weekend get away, grandkids loved the barges, shells, and campfire. Area is not like a campground, (no trails or hiking) but fun. Bet it's great in summer to put in a kayak! Very nice having a concrete pad. Make sure your items are very secure before pulling a camper up or down the steep drive, I had a jar shift and break but it was on me for not securing. Looks of the drive can be intimidating, but it was no problem getting in or out. Very close to main road but road was not excessively busy.

Hones Pointe was established in 1988. It was built by four insurance agents to elude our sales managers in a unique natural setting. Over the years, we have planted many different varieties of trees and perennials to observe. Also evidence exists of this area being an Indian camp long ago as suggested by arrowheads and an old handmade rock wall. Primitive camping where you can pick your own scenic spot. We will furnish picnic table, fire ring, garbage can, and charcoal grill during your campout.Welcome!

Ohio River experience

California, Ohio is a community on the Ohio River about a twenty minute drive upstream from Cincinnati. Actually the eastern-most neighborhood of Cincinnati, it has it's own small town or quaint village atmosphere. Safe, flat, scenic and walkable, California boasts several dining experiences, one a brewery, and quite a variety of recreational experiences. Riverbend, a music venue in season, is a mile away, possible walking distance, as is Belterra, a race track and casino. The bike trail is a few blocks away and connects to all the other area bike trails including the Loveland Bike Trail along the Wild and Scenic Little Miami River. A local nature preserve, California Woods, offers hiking and nature programs, and there is even the California Golf Course. If watching baseball leagues play games is your cup of tea, there is a large sports complex with ball fields in California. A town park with trees and large, grassy open spaces and small playground is a few blocks away. Bring your game of horse shoes, corn hole, a frisbee to throw, your skateboard, golf cart, or some bikes just to cruise around and take in the scenery. Nearby, and right the Wild and Scenic Little Miami River is Armleder Park, also with walking and biking trails which also connect to the 5 mile loop around Lunken Airport. I have two properties which offer two different kinds of camping, which I have itemized separately in the Hipcamp listings. RV Campers will park on the upper level at the Panama Street address , and have one set of amenities. It is a short walk lead down to the Ohio River where there is a small patio with table and chairs overlooking the river. Tent campers set up their tents right beside the river and have a different set of amenities, as itemized on this website. It's an unusual set up, as perhaps Hipcamper spots often are. It is interesting and relaxing to watch the barges and pleasure boats go by. On one hand I feel like I am in the middle of nowhere when I am on these (small, very not fancy) properties by the river. On the other, there are planes, trains, barges and pleasure boats, and motorcycles passing by at times. The River can be mesmerizing and serene, shimmering in the western sun, or busy with weekend pleasure boats and barge traffic. Take a walk around town, then sit by the river and watch the boats go by. Relax, set up your grill and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Ohio River. Perfect for river rats. Downtown Cincinnati is 15 or 20 minutes away with no traffic, and there are two or three ways to get there. There is a lot to do in Cincinnati. My place in California is just a few minutes from the I 275 exit.

This is my home residence in the small town of Dry Ridge, KY. I am just 20 minutes from The Ark Encounter and historic Williamstown. I have a small pond to camp next to either with a tent or RV that has electric and water hookup outside of my detached garage. Behind the property and surrounding the farm of 125 acres is eagle creek. Swim, fish, canoe, or kayak for additional fun and relaxation. There are walking trails and if not too congested side by sides are welcome as well. If the creek is low, there is a lot of fun to be had collecting clamshells and other various unique items that the waters bring. Wood can be purchased for campfires if desired. A small fire pit will be beside the campsite and a larger one down by the creek. Come sit by the pond and fall asleep to the sound of the frogs chirping and other wildlife.

We border the Clark-State Forestry. We have a small farm pond that's full of fish; no license required. Bring your fishing pole and have fun! Expect to hear chickens, guineas, pigs, dogs barking, kids playing. You may hear a tractor, lawn mower, or gator ATV go by as we are always busy doing something. Your pets are welcome, but keep in mind that this property is patrolled by two large Great Pyrenees dogs, and while they are friendly to people, they are territorial and have been aggressive towards other dogs until they become friends. For the safety of all the dogs, your pets must be contained/on a leash at least until all of the dogs can get to know each other. We are 5 miles from I-65, and 19 miles north of Louisville, KY. Small Farm located just 3 miles outside of Lagrange, KY and 18 miles outside of Louisville, KY but it feels like you are deep in the countryside. There are tons of things to be excited about here at Starlight....there are horses, and a mini-pig to snuggle with. There are chickens and ducks to watch do .....chicken and duck things. There is a little pond that is stocked full of fish to catch (and then throw back). Rolling hills, with beautiful vistas, or old timey barns and cabins. If you are the adventurous type, you can pitch tent with the horses and let them wander around you all night! If you want a more mundane and easy type of experience there are several places to throw up your tent or hammocks with access to power, and water...it’s all up to you!
