Carriage House Farm

What a unique stay! Really enjoyed the local wagyu burger and pawpaw seltzer. The owner was warm and inviting and we felt right at home camping on top of the hill!

Pleasantly surprised!

The barn/bar is adorable and Richard was very friendly and helpful. Camping down the Ridgeline and along the dirt road seemed like it would not be my cup of tea, but in fact, it was very private and very spread apart. I would definitely camp there again! We enjoyed music both evenings and the food at the barn was delicious. I would love if they had a few more choices on the menu.

Richard was a great host; great conversation; good bar and liquor; the view in the morning was one of the best I've seen; we sadly missed burning man but I have definitely found my go to campsite for a day away from the city or for the ren fair!

Clean, Private Campsite

We had a group of 10 with 3 tents and it worked out wonderfully! It’s close enough to Cinci for a one night trip and far enough away to be quiet and see the stars. There was a live band the night we were there that we could hear very well from our site. I advise checking the music schedule before booking! Will definitely book again! We all had a great time!

Lovely, unique property

The outside space is beautiful, the bistro area is very cool and the walking areas along the river and around the grounds are all interesting. Just so many features in one place, it kind of blows your mind. I would definitely come again.

While in town for the annual pro disc golf tour at Idlewild about 25 minutes south, we found this listing and think it's now the standard year to year for us! We camped primitively, and it was SUCH an easy experience thanks to Richard. No fuss...able to get water at the drinking hole and making note to belly up next time we're there and relax! Super grateful for an extraordinary value w/o hassle or a ton of other folks to contend with like you would elsewhere!

Absolutely beautiful scenery overlooking a caldera with nice nature surrounding. Very secluded and serene. It was fairly hot when we camped but the surrounding tree coverage helped to make up for it. There’s a little trail tucked into the woods that was fun to walk through. We also got a little visit from the barn cat who stayed by our campsite for a night. Overall an amazing spot to camp

We had a great visit to Carriage House Farm site #4. There was plenty of room for 10 people in 7 tents. We wandered down to the Lost Bridge Beverage Company each evening for tasty drinks and listening to good local music. There are plenty of activities on site and nearby. On Saturday, we rented kayaks at one of the local liveries, and hiked the trails at Shawnee Lookout Park just down the road.

Easy Stay!

It was so easy to stay here! We camp in our pop-up camper with three kids. It was lovely to sit down at the distillery, play games, listen to music, and have drinks and a bite to eat. The campsite was simple (as described) and had a nice view. In the daytime we went into Cinci (the zoo, Washington Park) an easy half hour away.

Great spot, I wish we would have been able to stay longer. The rain forecast was wet for our first night there and since we didn't have far to travel from home, Richard let us know we could cancel the first night if we needed to, even last minute due to rain. He was very easy going. There store is amazing. Great music, drinks, people, and awesome vibes.

We had a great time at Carriage House Farm! Richard the host was gracious and outgoing and wanted to make our stay enjoyable. The sites are spaced apart to provide privacy and have a long picnic table and a grill. A short stroll down the hill and you arrive at Lost Brigde Brewing Company. We enjoyed several live bands and local brews with a nicely stocked bar. Great chill vibe here and very dog friendly. Wonderful place to hang out. We'll definitely return!

Met with the one upon arrival and he was very friendly. Received directions to the camp site and he arrived a few minutes later to deliver the fire wood and provided some history about the land. The site was flat and elevated good for multiple tents if needed. Trees were on the site that we used for hammocks. The view was nice from the ridge line. Port-a-potty was within easy walking distance. Good stay. Would stay again.

I planned to stay at the Carriage House Farm on a cycling tour, but ended up too exhausted that day to make it there. Richard very graciously refunded my stay despite the short notice, and a day later I discovered the reason I was exhausted was that I had been incubating a very bad cold/flu that forced me to end my tour early. I appreciate Richard's kindness very much and look forward to staying at Carriage House Farm in the future.

Great spot close to Cinci. It's neat having access to the Carriage House for a beer and they often have food trucks. The spot was level and room for a couple of tents. Host was super nice. The orange and white cat visited and slept with us.

I’ve been here once before and it’s great. I was there to observe the comet and do some stargazing and it was the perfect setting. Dark enough and far from other people, so it was a nice peaceful evening. Will be back.

Very nice site. Was easy to check in and the owner was very friendly. Went when the bar was closed but looks like a great spot to hang out and will definitely be back to hear some live music some time. Also got the treat of a very friendly barn cat hanging out by the fire with us.

Our second time here. Nice open land + views. Short stroll to the tasting room. We really enjoy that place. Great atmosphere. The food truck was not there that evening. However there are plenty of delivery options or restaurants within a short drive.

We had an amazing experience. The check in process was super simple. We had someone bring us our firewood to the campsite. It was quiet, secluded, beautiful! We had food from Chloe's, drinks from the bar, puppy enjoyed music with us on the patio. It was a great experience.

Great location! We enjoyed walking to the Carriage House Farm for food and drinks. The campsite was far enough away that it was not too loud at night, but close enough to enjoy the festivities. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Will definitely stay again!

Camping with our dog

Site #1 was in a good spot with room to spread out. The staff/owners are really nice and accommodating. They had a concert one night with a Grateful Dead cover band. The market/brewery are close enough to walk to but far enough to have privacy. Good beer! Is a nice spot to get out of the city without having to drive far. We brought our dog and he loved it. The portapotty needs to be cleaned out!

I enjoyed camping here. The site was not nearly as private as I prefer. I tend to not want to see anyone else camping. However, the view was great. The walk to the bar and food truck was pleasant. My nine year old son and I went down at dusk. The atmosphere and live music was wonderful. Met a few fellow campers, great people. Overall this was a terrific experience and I would do it again for sure.
