3 nights at Sleek Acres

Delightful. I would recommend it again. The hosts were quite welcoming and the camper was as cozy as it's name. It is right by Hwy 30, so if you are sensitive to noise, or seeking idyllic country silence, be warned that the sound of big reefers rolling down the highway will reach you at all hours, even though your privacy is well-shielded by trees.

Weekend Trip to Sleek Acres

This is a beautiful piece of property. Earl & Lisa laid it all out very well. The sites are just close enough to the toilet and shower house. The hand/dishwashing station has hot and cold water. It was also easy to access the water station to put water in our container to add to our travel trailer. Subtle solar lighting is a great touch to keep you out of the pond at night and also makes the area look magical at night. Plenty of wildlife to delight the senses, too. We lacked nothing on our first solar-powered camping adventure thanks to the hospitality of our wonderful hosts. We even had a cozy fire ring to enjoy as the deer and The Pink Moon came out. Easy access... CLEAN... SAFE... Relaxing... If you have the chance, you should stay here!

Weekend Trip to Tincan Camp

We loved TinCan! With it being early spring we were able to have views of the lake. It was an easy pull in site located on gravel. There were a lot of outdoor games, grills, firepits and outdoor furniture. We had our pups with us and there were plenty of trails to take walks on. Jim was a great host and responded timely. I would definitely recommend TinCan Camp

Great experience and a fun place to stay. We had some pretty strong storms roll through during our stay. We stayed warm and dry in our yurt. Our weiner dog had fun too.

Had a great time “glamping” at the blooming bus farm! My fiancé and I came from Chicago for a weekend away and it was perfect. The farm itself is super cute and the campsites are cozy. It rained most of our 2nd day, but we set up a table in the heated tent to play games which was perfect. Definitely recommend for a weekend away!

Weekend Trip to 2Chicks And A Farm

This was a perfect overnight trip and can't wait to come back! The tent, camp beds, and chairs were super comfortable. But Julie really creates something special with her extra touches. We added on the extras- dinner and breakfast. I enjoy cooking over a fire but a three course meal? Delicious!! Dessert was perfect with hot little fruit pies with ice cream! The animals were fun. We made bestie with a little calico kitty who spent the evening and morning with us. I got to visit the baby goats, and the chickens made the rounds chaperoned by their rooster. And when our car battery was dead, we even got a jump. Full service. Everyone we met was friendlyand welcoming. Yay!

Perfect warm bungalow for a family of 4! Melissa was quick to respond to any request. Stars were beautiful at night and the site had everything we needed for a couple days unplugged. It got VERY cold at night so another space heater would be nice for winter camping. Heated blankets were incredibly warm and comfortable…kids loved them! Definitely want to come back in the summer to see the blooming bus! Wonderful stay and first winter “glamping” experience with the kids!

This trip was absolutely lovely. The hosts were very kind, and I loved getting to hang out with the alpacas and dogs. There's just enough trees and brush to make the trip feel decently secluded, but it's close enough to two towns to make groceries, antiquing, and errands easy. There's also some lakes to visit in summer. We went at the end of winter with our cat, and we can't wait to return when all the flowers and leaves are out.

We had a wonderful stay at Blooming Bus Farms. This was our second time visiting the heated yurt during the winter, and it was so comfortable and cozy. We went as a family and appreciated all the details of the campsite, including fire starter, torches, the heated blankets, and comfy quilts. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and seeing the place lit up with fairy lights at night. The alpacas were so fun to see, especially Romeo who was born in May and was new since the last time we visited. We have recommended the place to several friends and hope to go back in the summer.

Camped just after a fresh snowfall. All the lights, snow, and farm friends (Alpacas?) made it really magical. Camped in our truck - easy to find and very quiet site. Had a chance to let the dogs run around and they said they enjoyed it too. Port-a-pottie was in great condition too. Whenever I travel through this part of Michigan I will choose this spot over any other in the area.

We really appreciated Titus going out of his way to meet us and show us around his property. Originally we were going to tent camp, but he offered us his cabin because it was cold and we arrived late. The cabin was a great addition to the trip. There were animals, but we only met the kitties who were all very friendly. We'll definitely be back and would recommend staying at Sheepy Acres to anyone. Titus was a great host!

Each site is very private and has a fire ring and picnic table and benches.

And just under an hour from Grand Rapids. About half of the 20 acres is wooded, which is where three of our camp sites are located. Each one has a fire ring and wooden picnic table. One site, capable of taking a mid sized RV / Fifth Wheel, is located on the front of the property with easy access from the road. It backs up to some trails and and brush / wood area and has a corn field to the right. So, even though on the front on the property, you have a feeling of privacy. It too has a fire pit and wooden picnic table. Three camp sites are located in the pasture. One is at the bottom of the pasture and quite open. It can accommodate larger groups with multiple tents. A more secluded half open and half in light woods., and is located at the top of the pasture. Then another in the middle of the pasture, one for sun lovers and one for those who prefer more shade. For those who prefer more seclusion, we have cleared three sites in the woods. All sites have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and wooden picnic table. Some have fire wood boxes (we’re working on making a box for all sites). We have an outdoor propane shower that provides both hot and cold water. This is free. A coffee bar is on the back deck. Coffee is brewing around 7am. We also provide hot water, teas, hot chocolate and cider. Feeling a little peckish before breakfast, or after dinner? Help yourself to a snack. This is all free, though small donations are welcomed. Our goats, poultry, pigs, and dogs and produce take up about an acre and a half. Then the rest is open space. You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (additional fee). Use the BBQ or smoker. And even join in on farm chores if you are so inclined. You talk about social distancing Mirror Lake is the place for you. All of the Mirror Lake properties are private. There is 175 acres here at mirror lake and the lake is approximately 12 acres. With Amish farms and families all around. The Mirror Lake Bunkhouse has all amenities. You are welcome to cook over an open fire, use the grill or the small kitchen accessories provided. don’t forget the option is always available to go out to dinner with a restaurant only 4 miles away. Although we are located in the middle of the country. You can wake up to beautiful sunrises or take in breath taking sunset in the evening. The lake is a private lake owned by three property owners. Our Cabin # 2 “Old Phil” Is located on the west side of the lake in a 15 acre woods. About 1-1/2 miles away is Our cabin # 1 “Little Elk” Is located near the little Elkhart River. Nestled in its own 10 acre woods. Both of these properties are primitive ( no running water in an out house for a bathroom). Firewood is provided and there are trails in the woods to walk. The Mirror lake property has been a family farm for over 185 years. There is a family cemetery that dates to 1832. If you want to be around a lot of people in the fast track this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for peace, quiet, tranquil, social distance but still enjoyed this is the place for you!

Have A Lake Of Your Own!

The property was originally owned by a family name Nichols (thus the name of the lake). It was handed down to the sons who each owned half the property. The driveway down the middle of property that leads to the lake was originally a fence line that divided the two pieces of property. The brothers did not get along and their are several stories of their warring on how to maintain the property.My parents bought this piece of property in 1964 and created a camp called "Lakeside Farm Camp", a small all boys camp. The camp has gone through several changes since then but has always been owned by the Edwards family. In 1984 the name was changed to "Cedar Lodge" a coed camp that specializes in English horseback riding and offering high level general camp activities. Enjoy the peace and quiet of our totally private fresh water lake. Take your boat out for a day of fishing or just chill next to the fire. Sites are approximately 50 feet from each other. If you want privacy we suggest you book both.

The Hideaway at Cooper Lake

The Hideaway is located on private property in Otis, Indiana. Two canvas tents line our man made, creek fed lake. The lake is over 6 acres and approximately 35 ft deep. The lake is stocked with catfish, bluegill, bass and other fish perfect for fishing. Wildflowers and natural paths are available for walking and scenic photoshoots. The property is near the toll road. Some guests do not notice the noise others have been more sensitive to it. There is space for each site to have privacy, or just a short walk to each if you are booking both. Each site has their own shower, flushing port-o-john, fire pit, dining area. There is a shared space near the lake which includes lounging furniture. We proudly do not have wifi and encourage our guests to unplug and relax!

Mustang Sally's Park

What to expect lodging at Mustang Sally's: Mustang Sally's offers glamping sites, primitive camping sites and small camper sites. In the future, the plan is to add RV sites and full service cabin sites. The most common question is "What is Glamping?" Well, glamping is glorified camping. Glamping has real beds and other comforts of home but in the camping setting. Non-Glamping sites are available for tents, pop-ups, trucks & van camping. Motorhomes are not allowed at this time. The goal is by end of summer to have tree height cleared in main driveway to allow clearance for RV/Motorhomes. Currently there are no shower facilities as of May 2024. Outhouses are available. Mustang is currently working on what will be called "Bath Row" with the plan of them being finished by July 1, 2024. Bath row will consist of 10 restroom units. Each unit will have it's own private toliet, shower and changing area. Camp Fires are allowed within the fire rings provided at each camp site. Please keep them under control and make sure they are totally out before leaving the camp site. Check in time is 3pm EST Check out is 11am EST. Quiet time is 10 PM to 7 AM Trash cans are located throughout the park. Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely in the trash container. If the first can is full, please find another container. Please do not place your trash on the ground. Possums and racoons are attracted to left out or disposed of food and while we think they are cute and wonderful animals, we don’t want you to find a surprise in the night of a visiting racoon at your site because of incorrectly disposed of trash! Feel free to bring your own bike. Riding bicycles on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming guests. You are able to ride them everywhere else on the property, just not the main driveway. Cancelling your reservation on the day of or within 7 days prior to arrival will result in no refund. Cancelling your reservation 8 to 14 days prior to arrival, you will be refunded half of your total stay. Cancellations 15 or more days will receive a full refund minus a $15 processing fee.
