All sites are 50 amp, and we have 50 to 30 amp adapters for sale for a $25 fee. Currently there is limited Wi-Fi available through the park but especially near the office on lot 50, if you need it, ask the Manager to put you near it because we are trying to provide a radiation free area for our Manager and guests. Enjoy the beautiful new landscaping in this Resort like RV Park with twinkly lights that come on throughout the night and we have a beautiful winding creek with creek front sites. The park has paved roads, concrete pads. This is a big rig park that can handle coaches as large as 50 feet. Because we are conveniently located in the greater Louisville metropolitan area, please know there is a nearby train track that comes by a few times a day, but you get use to it, and we are only 8 miles from the Louisville International airport, but there is no freeway noise which can be very loud. We do not have bath or shower houses, or a pool, but we do have laundry facilities on site. There are showers within 2 miles at the Pilot gas station on I-65. We strive to offer excellent customer service, so please feel free to call if you have any issues! We have an on-site Assistant Manager. Annie is located on lot 12a, and you can reach her after you arrive by calling (502) 276-6090, or look for Annie working in the park. For long term RV guests, we require RVs to be 10 years or newer. I've stayed at other hip camps and simply decided that I would love to share my little slice of heaven with others passing through my area.  Notes: there is a wee bit of road noise, I live on a dead end road, there are 10 acres between my 5 acres and the Blue Grass Parkway.  I find it peaceful here and can easily ignore it but I'm mentioning it so your not surprised by it  ;)  The Neighbors dog may come visit while you are here but is very nice and leaves if you tell him to :) You are welcome to hang a hammock in a small section of woods, by a small pond, or even on my covered porch. You are welcome to pitch a tent anywhere you like. You are welcome to park an RV or vehicle in the drive.  The drive is about 250ft long, you would need to back in in order to hook up to the 50 amp plug. RV's can use the 50 amp plug (30 amp will need an adapter. I have one you can use if you don't own one of your own) and hose for water. I have an outdoor shower and a camping toilet. I am ... - one hour from Lexington, Louisville, Elizabethtown, and Frankfort.- 1 mile from a mini mart with Gas, Ice, Pizza, Chicken Wings, Sandwiches, ect.- 6 miles from Dollar General and A pizza Restaurant - 15 ish miles from Wal-mart and other chain stores and restaurants I'm a great travel guide so feel free to tell me what your in town for or things you like to do. I will happily make you up a list of things to do and see and places to eat. Keenland, Churchill Downs, The Bourbon Tour (Jim Beam, Makers Mark, Heaven Hill, and many others) are within an hour of here. Also within an hour are 2 great bike paths, wonderful hiking and kayaking. As well as Great Shopping and Restaurants. Anything your heart desires. Using GPS Directions i would suggest avoiding Tunnel Mill Rd and Murphy Lane if towing a camper or driving an RV.

Loved the place. So peaceful, quiet and scenic. Since it was quite muddy because it had been rainy, we stayed at another camp site which had an incredibly beautiful view on the lake, and a small hill behind that made it feel very private. Hosts were kind, attentive and welcoming, and the domain is well kept and safe. We enjoyed the sporadic company of their dog, and also appreciated very much the clean restrooms and showers. (Yes, also had hot water ) Wifi is also available around the premices, which proves practical if we needed it occasionnally. Jeffrey’s cliff is a local hike you can do, it about 20 mins away. It was a recommended by the host. Some of the highlights of our stay were seeing a giant owl and also many hummingbirds around the main house. Highly recomend for peaceful campers that are fond of nature and scenic surroundings.

Chuck and Val were such kind hosts. Tar springs was truly beautiful and the tent camp sights were perfect couldn’t even tell others were around us camping. We were camping 10 ft from the water and we caught some good fish ! Caught a 13 lb channel cat. The bathrooms were beautifully done and such a great amenity would recommend this place to anybody!!

The experience I had at tar springs was fantastic! Chuck and Van were very kind and helpful hosts. The property is unremarkable. Such a beautiful place to get away too! Will definitely be coming back!!

Tar Springs was a totally magical get away fro the city and we cannot wait to return! Van and Chuck were such kind and accommodating hosts- sharing their hatchet, and recommendations for what to do in the area. Even with some rain we were completely dry from a storm, and the facilities were so clean! Such a luxury on a camp out.

We had such a wonderful stay at this farm! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The full hookups made our RV setup incredibly easy and comfortable, which we really appreciated. The property is peaceful and beautiful, and it gave us the perfect place to slow down. Our kids absolutely loved being able to see the animals every day, it truly made the experience extra special for our family. Amber is really kind, welcoming, and made everything feel seamless from start to finish. You can tell she really cares about her guests having a great stay. If you’re looking for a place to unplug, breathe, and enjoy a simple, beautiful farm setting, this is it. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it! 10/10! I really recommend this place! I lived here for 1 month and I loved it. Trisha is very nice and the location is perfect. You got 10 minutes drive to all the stores you might need. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. There is nothing to complain about!

I stayed here a whole month and it was great! 10/10 would recommend! I hope it's available in the spring when I'm back in this town. The place is easy to park in I got a 33 long travel trailer. It's a quiet neighborhood, close to all the stores. They are really nice people to deal with. I have nothing bad to say about this place! I love it.

Weekend Trip to Tar Springs 2

Our family had a FANTASTIC time at Tar Springs 2 with Chuck and Van. What a beautiful place! Everything was so clean and the sites were well spread out. The lake was perfect for fishing and the paddle boats were available for use. With water and firewood readily available it made things very convenient. The guest restrooms and showers were IMMACULATE! We felt so welcomed by them and their lovely pets! We were fortunate enough to be there during their Fall Festival and enjoyed the great bluegrass music in their outdoor stage, the food truck, and the fireworks. Really, nothing is more peaceful than watching the cows roam across the land while you sip your coffee by the open fire. Even with many sites filled, there was still a sense of quiet and being secluded. We really enjoyed this trip and are planning to (at least!) go back in the fall to enjoy the Sacagawea festival in September! Book this. What a beautiful place to rest your busy soul. Thank you, Chuck and Van. We can't wait to see how big the kitties get!

Amazing place. Omg just beautiful. We stayed up the hill under the cliff so awesome. Very very cool place. Gemma and I (that’s my German Shepherd) went hiking around and we loved it. Easy hike either direction but totally amazing-must do. Chuck is very cool, they both super good people and I truly thought the world of them in a matter of minutes. Very clean well taken of property. Facilities were all there and very clean. Probably won’t camp anywhere else unless leaving the state. I have to go back to experience the beautiful lake. Yes my brother and my older son showed up the next day and we a great time, setting around the fire telling stories. Best camping spot around.

I had a great time staying here! The site was easy to access, and Trisha was very responsive during our stay. This is a quiet neighborhood that is easy to walk around in. We were able to get to the Highland Festival Grounds every day with no problems, and there is a grocery store within walking distance as well. Overall this was a great location for our stay!
