Until 2019, this farm was in the same family since 1889. It has been a working farm since that time. In 2019, our family purchased the farm and continue to operate it much the same way. Our family is devoted to history and preserving the essence of the past. You may very well see us pull up in one of our antique cars to greet you! Our neighbors are friendly and many are also small farmers. You can't see their farms from camp, but don't be surprised to hear roosters crowing, cattle mooing, and donkeys braying in the distance. Our farm is surrounded by the Hoosier National Forest, so you'll see and hear plenty of wildlife too. At various times during the summer, you may find wild blackberries, elderberries, and black raspberries growing right in camp!

If your interested in camping there is 20 acres and ample space for you to decide where to put up your tent. We provide a firepit or ring. Wood can be purchased or foraged yourself for your fire.Hoosier National Forest is across street so hiking is unlimited. Because we are conveniently located in the greater Louisville metropolitan area, please know there is a nearby train track that comes by a few times a day, but you get use to it, and we are only 8 miles from the Louisville International airport, but there is no freeway noise which can be very loud. We do not have bath or shower houses, or a pool, but we do have laundry facilities on site. There are showers within 2 miles at the Pilot gas station on I-65.
We strive to offer excellent customer service, so please feel free to call if you have any issues! We have an on-site Assistant Manager. Forty private acres on the edge of wilderness. Three intentionally spaced campsites sit across rolling knobs and a central ridge, with a seasonal creek cutting through the timber below. The land is quiet, wooded, and surrounded by thousands of acres of Hoosier National Forest. Directly across the road lies the Charles C. Deam Wilderness — step off the property and into protected backcountry!
Each site offers space, privacy, and defined staging for a comfortable stay. Expect mature hardwoods, changing light across the ridge at sunrise and sunset, and minimal artificial noise. Wildlife movement is common, and nights are dark!
The Cutright Boat Ramp on Lake Monroe is seven minutes away for boating, fishing, and swimming. Bloomington is fifteen minutes away for dining, fuel, and supplies. You are close to activity without being inside it.
Access to the camp is practical. There are two gravel driveways, each leading to a campsite.
This is not a crowded campground. It is low-density acreage positioned between water and wilderness, designed for campers who want space, quiet, and immediate access to Southern Indiana’s most visited outdoor corridor.

This was a lovely camping spot! The views are gorgeous. The signage and directions to the site are easy to follow. Hosts were communicative and friendly. We love a secluded campsite and this felt like we were surrounded by nothing but trees and rolling farmland. The site was large with plenty of room for our tent and vehicles. We loved watching the sunset here! 10/10 recommend and would love to visit again!

I had a great time staying here! The site was easy to access, and Trisha was very responsive during our stay. This is a quiet neighborhood that is easy to walk around in. We were able to get to the Highland Festival Grounds every day with no problems, and there is a grocery store within walking distance as well. Overall this was a great location for our stay!

I hesitate to give a great review only because I want to gatekeep this spot so it’s always available when we want it! If gorgeous sky and landscape views, privacy, and a cool dip in the pond is what you’re after, you cannot go wrong with this Hipcamp. We enjoyed going into Huntingburg and Jasper for the day, and then the next day, we enjoyed never leaving. We’d live here if we could. Already planning our next weekend getaway.

This was our second trip to Hill Spring Campground, and once again, the pond site was absolutely perfect. The views are breathtaking, and the pond is such a peaceful spot to relax and fish. We even had the treat of watching a rainstorm roll through, followed by a stunning double rainbow—it was pure magic. As the listing states, this is a roadside spot. It’s not a busy road but I guess there’s the potential of someone driving past, but it didn’t bother us at all. There is a totally open lot right across the street, and the sun setting over that area was really beautiful each night. The hosts and the goats are very nice. My son had loads of fun getting the attention of the goats.

Fairhaven is a wonderful little spot not far from the highway with well situated sites. I loved the aesthetics of Forgotten Lane, and was thankful it was a roadbed as I weathered a pretty rough storm on my overnight. Would definitely recommend this site, especially for van campers.

My husband and I loved our stay here! It was quiet, everyone was friendly, and there was so much there to keep us busy. One of our teenagers even stayed one night with us with their friend and loved it just as much! We are already thinking about staying seasonally. The site was beautiful. Every direction was picturesque. We just so happened to go camping here on a weekend with a heat advisory and the pavilion was a nice source of shade. There were a lot more houseflies than I thought there would be; especially around the pavilion, but the site is in the middle of a farm so it’s not entirely unexpected. I’d definitely come back to camp here in the fall/winter.
