I have a lake with lots of fish to go fishing, canoeing, kayaking. I also have small jon boat available for fishing. My property also has a outdoor his and hers privys..(bathrooms) No water though. I also have two construction trailers that we remodeled with couches chairs tables and refrigerators and TV's. These have a microwave in them to. These are available for people to stay in if wanted. They also have heat and AC. No water though. They cost extra to stay in.There's also places with camper plug ins. So power is available. Also have horseshoe pit and overhead cooking area. Great place for tent camping also. Have fire pit. And fire rings available. Also have access to firewood. Just no water. Great quiet enjoyable place for getaway to go fishing,canoeing or kayaking. Conveniently located between Peoria and Bloomington Illinois. Only about 3/4 from the Mackinaw river. For those who love to canoe and kayak on the river.
Paddle boats will be available please inquire.
I have several tent camping spots. No assigned spots. They're on a first come first serve basis. The cost is $40 per tent that is put up. Four wheel drive are not needed just recommended if it is supposed to rain. You're allowed to bring more than one vehicle but please check with me first. Thanks. Swell up with patriotic pride when you spot a bald eagle or two in the winter, and gawk at the huge number of white pelicans that gather here each spring as they head north during migration. If birding’s not your thing and you can’t tell a pelican from a bald eagle, then 1) you might need to get your eyes checked, and 2) no worries—there’s plenty else to do besides ogle at our feathery friends here.Take advantage of the park’s two public boat ramps and tour the lake via your vessel. Cast a line for crappie, bluegill, bass, and more (the fishing’s especially good in early spring). Hunting for deer, rabbit, quail, and duck are also popular pastimes. Frakers Grove Farm has been part of my family since the 1980s, but its history extends back to 1828, when Michael Fraker arrived and negotiated a peaceful settlement with the local Native American tribes, becoming the first settler in Northeastern Knox County. His grave, along with those of approximately 26 relatives and friends, is located on the property.
Camp on a 250-acre farm in Western Illinois, featuring a 1.5-acre pond stocked with bluegill, crappie, largemouth bass, catfish, and resident grass carp, plus a small creek. The property also has trails and abundant wildlife, including deer, American river otters, beavers, geese, wood ducks, and raccoons.
A floating dock with a ladder sits on the pond, and a jon boat is available for guest use. Swimming and boating are at your own risk, there is no lifeguard on duty, and life jackets are not provided, so please bring your own if you plan to swim or use the boat.
We offer two campsites: Pondside (drive-in, by the water's edge) and Grove Behind the Pond (walk-in, in a wooded grove), each with a fire ring. Guest WiFi is available near the buildings.
Assistance with transporting tents and supplies to and from your campsite on check-in and check-out days is available upon request, using our side-by-side.
Facilities include a porta potty near the pole barn. Please note: neither campsite has water, electric, or sewer hookups, and there is no dump station on the property, guests should plan to be fully self-sufficient.
We maintain the property using a Yarbo robotic lawn mower. Feel free to ask us about it, or even see a demo! If it's actively mowing, please stay at least 20 feet away, as some obstacle detection is turned off in certain areas of the farm.
Note: This is an active farm with considerable activity involving heavy machinery during spring and fall. We have chickens on the property. If it's rained recently, 2WD vehicles may have difficulty reaching the campsites due to our dirt and grass access roads.

Shane's place isn't too far from the interstate but still very secluded. Very quiet. Shane communicated with us about the location and pointed out all the amenities. He had 50, 30, and 20 amp outlets available for guests. It was very dry when we camped so we had no trouble accessing the site with our front -wheel drive Promaster.

Weekend Trip to Posey Ridge
We had a fabulous time here! It was very relaxing and quiet even with the other camping group. We stayed in one of the onsite trailers that was clean and comfortable with A/C and electricity. It was a step up from tent camping that allowed us to stay dry and relax even more. We loved going out on the pond in the paddle boat to fish that were plentiful! There is no running water but you have access to his well water (which I’m sure is cleaner than most tap water these days). We highly recommend a visit! It’s a beautiful area, more than we expected and the host is very pleasant.

Weekend Trip to Black Sheep Flower Farm
Great cabin set at edge of woods with huge windows that puts you right among the trees. The weather was warm but this location, the lower evening temps, plus the cross ventilation allowed by the window screens made the cabin temp feel just right (and especially nice at night). It's a good sized space for those guests staying solo or as a couple. Front porch is ideal for watching sun rise. Ample acreage to explore and yet (if wanted) provides the privacy and solitude to allow you to be your true self with nature. Relax in the hammock (very comfortable) and/or the double-seated garden swing. Fun to watch the lightning bugs and stars come out at night. Didn't have the chance to meet Dennis, but found him responsive to email and accommodating to work with. Definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at Green Pasture’s. It is a quiet place and the hosts were great communicators.
The shower/bath house has been maintained and while not brand new, everything works well and has been maintained well.
Loved having a washer and dryer available right there as well.

A beautiful location and conveniently located. I was tucked away in Spot 10 and enjoyed falling asleep to a beautiful fire fly show. The restrooms and shower was a huge bonus for me as I’d been on the road for several days. Hosts were very communicative and made sure I had everything I needed.
