We are conveniently located off Hwy 95, 7 miles north of Athol, ID. Welcome to the base of the beautiful Selkirk mountains, we’re nestled in between the beautiful lake resort town of Sandpoint ID and the picturesque resort area know at priest lake. Our property was originally homesteaded back before Idaho was a state by a trapper who fell in love with this lush little valley in the mountains. Once Idaho did become a state, the officials decided to keep the land surrounding this little oasis making it completely surrounded by thousands of acres of state endowment land usable to the public. There are three full time creeks that run though the property along with a few beaver made ponds and one large man made swimming pond. The site boasts hundreds of campsites ranging from dry RV parking to small tents on rock ledges overlooking the lush valley. Expect to see deer, elk, moose, turkey and a few other wild animals roaming the land around you. We have the space for event camping as well, we have a large covered gazebo for shaded group meals. Furthermore there is also a band stand for ceremonies and live music on select dates. We’re only 12 miles from town but you get that feeling of being out of the rush of the outside world.

I had a peaceful and quiet time at this lovely property. I booked for the weekend and ended up being the only one there. Will was a great host and checked in on me daily. My dog and I had a wonderful time. We chilled in the morning, had a swim in the lovely pond, a nice walk and a nap then sat by the fire in the evening. Couldn't be better. Highly recommend and looking forward to going to one of the music festivals the owners hold there!!! Thank you so much.

Weekend Trip to Cozy Mountain Bungalow

The cabin was great - it was a small shed converted into a cabin that had a single (full-sized? queen?) bed with a rocking chair, an armoir, and a small closet. The bathroom was an attached outhouse with sawdust to soak up waste and neutralize any smells. They provided a camping sink with 5 gallons of water, a camping gas stove, a citranella candle, and plates, bowls, and utensils. The cabin sits towards the middle of the driveway to the hosts' house and they have the friendliest dog. My son and I had a great time. Zero light pollution, no noise pollution, just fresh north Idaho air.

This was further out than we expected, but it was great. The pond looked a little murky but was actually very cool and with such hot temps we were thankful for it. Large space (field) to choose where you want to camp. Or dogs loved to run and we appreciated not needing to keep them leashed. But that because we were the only ones there. It would be different if there were more campers around.

What a way to escape reality for a bit! The land was beautiful and quiet. Directions were clear and concise! The Outhouses were clean and maintained well and bonus wood was provided, just be prepared to cut it (: we personally didn’t swim in the pond, but it was really well maintained. It would be an amazing spot for Early- Mid fall! We didn’t use them, but grills and were there if you bring propane. Overall a beautiful experience, would be fun to do a big family group trip or retreat here!

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin. It is a cute and cozy space, not too far from coeur d’alene but outside the city enough to avoid the noise and city lights. The dogs felt really comfortable and were able to run around and explore. We had all the comforts of home away from home and Aran was a really welcoming and responsive host. Would love to go again in the colder months to stoke a fire and enjoy the beautiful scenery in winter

The 7B Bungalow was everything we hoped for and so much more! The detail of every little thing about Bungalow was unbelievable. All the things you could need or want while still being minimal. The bungalow was crafted so beautifully inside and out. You can definitely tell lots of hard work work was put in! Our dog loved wandering around the property. The bungalow felt like it was a 100 miles in the woods, but it was just tucked away perfectly. The whole property was amazing and beautiful. Thank you so much for letting us stay. We chose William’s family’s land as our weekend getaway with littles because it offered so many things-wide open space to run and play, pond to swim and cool off, sandy beach, shaded area with lots of great hammock trees. We were so spoiled because we had the WHOLE place to ourselves all weekend so the privacy was unmatched! We met some of the hosts as we were arriving and they were so kind and hospitable-encouraging us to make ourselves at home and giving us a lay of the land! Then we met William on the last day as we were packing up and he was awesome as well-giving us some history on the land and his family as well as inviting us back out for live music! This place really is a gem, we had no problems hauling our 28’ travel trailer and navigating the roads, the instructions were clear and easy to follow! Only a 10-15 minute drive into priest river. We would definitely bring our little family back here! Thanks for having us!

Site was charming, with plenty of forest cover and a pond. Folks were very cordial. Hook-ups worked. The campground sits adjacent to the highway and there are somewhat busy train tracks. But, honestly, the site was quiet enough for a restful stay. My only negative would be that the campground is comparatively expensive.

I love this land!! It was the perfect site for my 5-day summer retreat! William and his parents are so wonderful and checked in occasionally to make sure we had what we needed to make this event successful! Not just during the retreat, but before and after. The swimming pond was essential on hot days, and the water was cool, clean and refreshing! The land fit my event like a glove and all my participants were in heaven. Camping under the trees provided good shade and the open areas provided room for games. I can't wait to do this again next year!

This is a nice RV park. Well maintained. Most spots are shaded. The beer/wine patio for the evening was so great. We had a blast meeting the other campers staying here. The hosts were great as well. Yes there is a train track close by and you do hear the train horn, but it is not that loud.

A picturesque, serene oasis! Close to the main road, but feels worlds away from the hustle of city life. Quaint, idyllic, comfortable, and so very very peaceful. Absolutely perfect location for our family’s trip to the state park and Silverwood. Owners are responsive and hospitable. All the rave reviews are justified! This place reminded me of a poem by William Butler Yeats called “The Lake Isle of Innisfree”. Yeats describes a cabin on an island where he retreats so his soul can be restored. The second stanza of that poem perfectly describes what we felt at this heavenly Hipcamp Haven. “And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow, Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings; There midnight’s all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow, And evening full of the linnet’s wings.” Thank you Aaron and Aran for sharing your place with us. We hope to return soon.
