Micone Ranch

1 site · RV, Tent28 acres · Ontario, OR
Our place is 28 acres, and you can camp anywhere. We can host many people but only want one group at a time. Keep in mind that winter brings snow, and we have a small bridge to cross and a slanted driveway. We are open year-round but make sure your tires can handle our terrain. Reserve a spot and then add any additional tents/rv/vehicles used for sleeping, that will be with you as an additional guest. You can also add extra sleeping structures under the extra tab. Huge windy driveway can accommodate rv campers. A creek runs through the front of the property year-round. Cleared spots available in the non-snow months are small so tent camping only. It is densely wooded. We do have goats in this field. but they are generally shy. Camping areas that people have liked are up top by the top field gate, or down in the field that our large chicken coop is in. There are no large animals in those areas, but chickens do make noises. Up top we have roosters that make noise about 5 am. the lower field on the right is the quietest. The bridge at the entrance to our property is 11' wide, which should allow a standard 8' RV to pass into the property. If you own an extra-wide RV's you should check its width before booking. Extra-wide RV's can park outside the property if you just need a place to park. Look us up on Facebook under Micone Ranch. See daily events and animals! :)

Garden Valley River Access Campsite

1 site · RV, Tent2 acres · Crouch, ID
The address to the house next door is 519 MiddleFork Rd, Garden Valley, ID 83622. That will get you to the property. The property is right after 519 it is a large open lot that leads down to the river. There is a black military vehicle parked on the very end close to the house. So there are two sections 1st is a flat section where you have plenty of room to set up tents and RVs. It is right off the road, and any car can get to the site with ease. The 2nd section is more wooded and has access to the river. You are welcome to tent camp here it is just getting an RV down there and out can be a challenge I don't recommend it. Also, the bridge across the river is the neighbors and so is the property across the river. There are roughly 4 campsites on the property but can camp where you want really. Large flat spot above the river that has access to the water. Half of the property is a flat spot for RV's and tents the 2nd half is more green, woody and has access to the river. There is a deeper spot in the river that is 3-4 feet deep and is perfect to lounge in during the hot parts of the summer. Please pack out what you pack in and keep the place nice for the next camper. Thank you and enjoy.

Camping near Meridian guide

Overview

In the Treasure Valley in southwest Idaho, this fast-growing suburb of Boise offers plenty of options for outdoor activities. Aside from dozens of parks, a large water park, and a golf course in town, Boise is just a short drive away and offers hundreds of miles of trails for hiking and biking. Water enthusiasts can paddle, float, or fish the Boise River or the nearby Payette and Snake rivers, while additional options can be found in area lakes and reservoirs. Camping options span RV parks in urban areas, state parks, and national forest campgrounds.

Where to go

Meridian and Boise

Around Meridian and Boise, and along the I-84 corridor, several RV parks offer hookups, amenities, and space for large rigs. They also offer an ideal base camp for exploring the myriad outdoor attractions in the area, such as the Boise River Greenbelt, Ridge to River Network, Kuna Caves, and wildlife at Lake Lowell and the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge. Nearby Bogus Basin offer year-round trails for hiking, biking, and skiing.

Idaho State Parks

Several state parks can be found within a two hour drive of Meridian. Head to Three Island Crossing State Park for Oregon Trail History and riverside campsites and camping cabins. Go sandboarding at Bruneau Dunes State Park, then stay overnight in a comfortable cabin. Enjoy boating, fishing, and windsurfing at Lake Cascade State Park, and camp in a tent, RV, or yurt. For secluded camping around a desert canyon lake, head to Lake Owyhee State Park.

Boise National Forest

For year-round outdoor recreation, head northwest to the Boise National Forest, where hundreds of trails, lakes and reservoirs, plus hot springs and millions of acres of forest and grassland beckon to be explored. Camping options are plentiful and diverse, with your choice of developed, dispersed, and backcountry campsites, along with cabins, guard stations, and a network of year-round backcountry yurts.

When to go

With generally temperate weather, Meridian can be visited year-round. Spring, summer, and fall are the best times for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, boating, paddling, and fishing. In the winter, head to Bogus Basin for a downhill ski resort, or area state parks and the Boise National Forest for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Many campgrounds are seasonal, though winter camping options are available, though services will be limited.
