PRIVATE MOUNTAIN YURT NEAR GARDEN VALLEY, IDAHO
Camp in comfort on nearly 45 secluded wooded acres between Banks and Crouch, about a mile from the South Fork of the Payette River. This private mountain yurt offers an authentic Idaho wilderness experience with electricity, Starlink Wi-Fi, heat, air conditioning, propane cooking, a wood stove, and a large private deck.
This is not a campground loop, neighborhood, or glamping resort. The yurt sits by itself in the forest, surrounded by ponderosa pines, wildlife, dark skies, and quiet mountain terrain.
SLEEPING
The open-layout yurt sleeps up to 5 guests:
• Two guests on the padded lower bunk
• One guest on the padded upper bunk
• Two guests on the futon
The bunks use padded sleeping mats rather than conventional mattresses. Guests who prefer additional cushioning may bring a sleeping pad or inflatable mattress.
Bedding, pillows, and towels are not provided. Bring sheets, blankets or sleeping bags appropriate for the season, pillows, and towels. Winter-rated sleeping bags are strongly recommended during cold weather.
POWER, WIFI, HEATING AND COOLING
The yurt has electricity and fast Starlink Wi-Fi. The mini-split provides heat and air conditioning, making the yurt comfortable during both hot summer days and cold mountain nights.
A wood stove is available for supplemental heat and ambiance. Firewood is not provided for the wood stove or outdoor firepit but can be purchased locally in Crouch or Garden Valley.
COOKING
The yurt includes:

WATER AND TOILET
There is no running water, shower, or indoor bathroom.
Fresh water is provided in 5-gallon containers for drinking, cooking, and washing dishes. The yurt has an indoor dishwashing sink, but it is not connected to plumbing.
A clean private porta-potty is located about 100 ft from the yurt and professionally serviced weekly.
PARKING AND ACCESS
There is no parking directly beside the yurt.
Guests may unload gear near the porta-potty, which is a short walk from the yurt. After unloading, vehicles must be moved to one of two designated parking areas. Both require a short uphill walk.
The path is natural mountain terrain and may be uneven, dusty, muddy, snowy, icy, or slippery depending on weather.
The final approach is a narrow rock and dirt mountain road with steep sections. Apple Maps and Google Maps may route guests incorrectly, so detailed directions, GPS coordinates, parking instructions, and unloading guidance are provided before arrival.
During winter, AWD or 4WD with proper winter tires or chains is required.
LIGHTING
The yurt has interior electric lighting but no exterior lighting. Bring headlamps or flashlights and plan to arrive before dark when possible.
DOGS
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome when included in the reservation.
Dogs must remain leashed whenever outside, may not be left unattended inside the yurt, and must leave with you whenever you leave the property. Please pick up all pet waste.
We have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and free-range chickens elsewhere on the property, so strict leash control is required.
WILDLIFE AND FIRES
This is active wildlife habitat. Guests may encounter deer, elk, turkey, skunks, porcupines, snakes, foxes, bobcats, bears, mountain lions, and other wildlife.
Never approach or feed wildlife, and do not leave food, pet food, or trash outside.
All fires must follow current restrictions, remain attended, and be fully extinguished before sleeping or leaving. Outdoor fires may be prohibited during periods of high fire danger.

Terriland was a great place to stay. The campground was very clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate, even with my 44-foot toy hauler. Pulling in and out of the site was no problem at all. The large shade trees and grassy areas made it a comfortable place to relax and cool off after a long day. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Terriland to anyone looking for a clean, spacious, and well-kept campground.

Teree was a very welcoming host. We were going to Boise,Id for family meet up, so we wanted to be close and this really met our needs. We have a camper van, so we did not need restroom or electricity hookup. VAN was parked alongside the garage with the shade of the large trees. Her back yard was beautifully groomed and it's obviously a passion . We may consider tent camping next time we are in the area. She greeted us and made us feel totally comfortable. Thank you Teree even with Temps of 100 degrees your little oasis was a great respite for our trip. Linda &Sandy and our fur baby Chloe.

Great location, easy to walk to restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. Managed to stumble into live after five concert downtown and had a fantastic time. Really cool Neighborhood, tons of history and an adjacent historical park / historic site of the old original Assayers‘s Office. Great education as far as what an assayer actually is 😉. Quiet at night, safe so it was perfect. I will say hospital construction does exist nearby, but did not ruin our trip and this stop was worth it.

Wonderful camping spot and fantastic hosts. The property was gorgeous and easy to get into with our camp trailer. Electric and water hook ups were easy and made the trip very comfortable. Having a dump location on site was extremely convenient. Ron, the camp host met us when we arrived and helped us get settled and then gave us our privacy. They provided camp fire wood, a very nice fire ring, shuffle board/curling game board, picnic table, and circle swing hammock of sorts. Site was very easily accessible, private, but also close to town. Loved the farm setting - felt like home! Gorgeous sunsets and sunrises over the mountains.

Not to mention that there is onsite laundry which is such a huge bonus! Dan is such a wonderful host and was so incredibly accommodating. We had some unforeseen mechanical issues (perks of RV life) and had to change around our predetermined schedule. Dan was so incredibly quick to respond and was so accommodating and understanding with our change that was needed. That alone is a huge testament why we would recommend this to anyone in the area. You are in great hands staying with Dan and the view at this site is a wonderful bonus!

The site was amazing!!! Private, secluded while in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The property bordered a large pasture on one side and the owners property, but had a 6 ft privacy fence that made you feel very separate. The artificial turf was a great touch to keep dirt out of your RV and give you extra outdoor living space. The highlight of the entire site is a full free laundry facility. This made the site a 10/10!!! Dan was also amazing. Very communicative, extremely attentive and offered advice when asked. This was close to downtown Mountain Home but out in the country!! Absolutely perfect!!

We all loved this spot. With the crick behind camp drowning out some background noise, its was very peaceful. Make sure you park a tent under the trees or you'll be up with the sun, its gets hot this time of year.
The host (Tamara) was very accommodating, meeting us at the spot when we arrived. Got us set up and left us alone. Couldn't ask for more from a host. Would def make it back for the next time im in the area. Cheaper and more private than a hotel.

The spot here is soooo peaceful and the hosts couldn't have been kinder. The ground works very well for people who have mobility issues. There are not potholes or anything to trip over and a wheelchair can be pushed very easily. We will be back here yearly and so appreciate their support for people with disabilities in our community. Thank you with our whole hearts!!!

Where to go
Meridian and Boise
Around Meridian and Boise, and along the I-84 corridor, several RV parks offer hookups, amenities, and space for large rigs. They also offer an ideal base camp for exploring the myriad outdoor attractions in the area, such as the Boise River Greenbelt, Ridge to River Network, Kuna Caves, and wildlife at Lake Lowell and the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge. Nearby Bogus Basin offer year-round trails for hiking, biking, and skiing.
Idaho State Parks
Several state parks can be found within a two hour drive of Meridian. Head to Three Island Crossing State Park for Oregon Trail History and riverside campsites and camping cabins. Go sandboarding at Bruneau Dunes State Park, then stay overnight in a comfortable cabin. Enjoy boating, fishing, and windsurfing at Lake Cascade State Park, and camp in a tent, RV, or yurt. For secluded camping around a desert canyon lake, head to Lake Owyhee State Park.
Boise National Forest
For year-round outdoor recreation, head northwest to the Boise National Forest, where hundreds of trails, lakes and reservoirs, plus hot springs and millions of acres of forest and grassland beckon to be explored. Camping options are plentiful and diverse, with your choice of developed, dispersed, and backcountry campsites, along with cabins, guard stations, and a network of year-round backcountry yurts.
When to go
With generally temperate weather, Meridian can be visited year-round. Spring, summer, and fall are the best times for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, boating, paddling, and fishing. In the winter, head to Bogus Basin for a downhill ski resort, or area state parks and the Boise National Forest for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Many campgrounds are seasonal, though winter camping options are available, though services will be limited.
