1 night at Funny Farm Homestead

Diana had a great little farm and was very nice and helpful with making sure we were set up. We had a nice visit when we arrived and before leaving in the morning. It was very quiet and she gave us a place to take our dog off leash to throw her ball to get some of her energy out. Would highly recommend this stop and when we are back in the area again, will definitely stay. Only advice is to come in from the Spokane side and not the southern side if you are a big rig. Google Maps will get you there either direction, just the road is set up a little different coming from the south. We have a 45' toy hauler and managed, but was much easier leaving going the north way. Otherwise was a very pleasant stay.

1 night at Achin' Ass Acres - 12 sites

The name alone made us want to try out Achin’ Ass Acres. Louie was extremely communicative and helpful. We put the address in and went past it, so make sure you click on his link in the app. The gate lock was easy and we were the only campers there so we had our pick of space. It’s an open gravel area. The Saloon isn’t a working saloon, which we were a little disappointed about, but it’s cute on the outside. Everything seems to be made from reclaimed items, which is charming. The bathroom with shower is clean and organized, but we didn’t need to use it. It’s in a canyon of sorts and it’s beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay at Burke Creekside RV! Lisa was a great host—friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. She gave us the perfect spot for our large group, with power and water hookups and plenty of room for those in our group who were tenting. She checked in with us regularly and offered great recommendations for things to do in the area. The nearby town of Wallace is absolutely charming! We especially enjoyed the Silver Mine tour and the local ice cream shop. Highly recommend!

Great location. Perfect for a midway stop on our way to Banff. It was very quiet and peaceful. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly, fluffy white dog! The grounds were pleasant. But we weren't exactly sure how much of the site to take, so we took it all! We decided to book again on our return drive.

Travis and his family are extremely gracious host. They have created an amazing space with a wonderful view, full hookup, and a separate bathhouse as a bonus. Mater, the friendly dog made our travel pup feel right at home. Be sure to ask Travis about his locally sourced coffee. It is the best way to start your day and you will support local efforts- it’s a great deal.

Weekend Trip to Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch LLC

The site we stayed at was fabulous. It had a great view of the farm and the meadows yet it also had a nice view of the trees /woods that surrounded the area. There was a lot of activity yet it was also peaceful and serene. The goats and al pacas were fun to watch from our camp spot. Nice walks to go on. It is a dry camping but they have potable water if you need it (we did not as we brought our own) and they have porta potties as well. There's a lot to do here or just relax and rejuvenate. We had a great time and we will be back

1 night at Hidden Acres Orchards

I camped in my car. So easy to find a spot away from others. Brought my dog and he loved walking around the farm on a leash. Amazing hand pies and homemade apple sauce from the shop! The views were amazing and it was very peaceful. I would love to come back and stay again one day!

2 nights at Willow Creek Retreat

So much to like about Rachael's enchanting land starting with the host, herself. She welcomed us at the site with a smile and a conversation that made us feel at home. Then the site! Beside a creek that sang a relaxing song with flowers all around. Horses and cattle grazed nearby. While some might hate this, I loved the sounds of the train at night and during the day, the aircraft from the nearby airforce base. The base even played wake-up and goodnight music. I think it was Revelry and Taps, but I think it also changed. The one thing I worried about - the port-a-potty - was pristine. Added touches of an outdoor shower and jars of water to wash our hands made the whole stay feel special. I have only two issues about the stay, and they are both expected and mine. Because of the water, the site was loaded with mosquitoes and those beautiful flowers triggered one of the worst allergy attacks I've had in a long time. See, this is on me, not the host. My husband and I love this place so much, I'm sure we'll be back - with better allergy and bug protection.

Great experience. The site was level and clean. Near the bathrooms. Showers were clean and had hot water. Off leash dog area was a treat. We were just passing through, but I imagine this would be a great site for groups with kids. The pool was open. The road looked safe for biking. There were kayaks to rent and the water area looked safe for new kayakers.

Such a nice little treasure! I wish the fruit trees had been in season, but we came in the springtime. We had our camper van and a tent. It was a great spot to set up camp. The kids enjoyed the baby pigs, chickens and goats! We felt safe and enjoyed ourselves. We will stay again if we ever head this way!

I absolutely would recommend staying at the Boondocks! Barbara was so sweet and kind. Upon arriving I was informed I had reserved a site with no hookups. Barbara offered me to move to spot w hookups but there was a non running vehicle in the rv spot. So in order for me to move to that spot Barbara had to tow vehicle out and few other things so that my rv wb in a spot w hookups. Her and her family went out of their way for me and I could not have thanked her enough. On top of thst she also let me borrow her water hose w filter i ended up using for my entire stay...cpl weeks. Barbara and her family are the best. I will definitely refer people and I would absolutely stay again. Property is gorgeous and peaceful!! Thank you for everything!

The Old Weber Farm

Legend has it Bing Crosby sang in the barn himself after a long summer bucking bales in Cheney. Camp within the luscious fruit tree rows, in the middle of a vibrant pumpkin patch or even in the petting zoo! Animals welcome! IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW: We are a real working farm, not like a romanticized IG version of a farm. There are tractors running, sprayers making applications, farm animals loudly enjoying life, day customers picking fruit, and farmers about early in the morning. With that being said, we understand that experience may not be to everyone's liking. Be aware that if you do decide to camp here be ready for a real farm adventure! Another little tidbit: to grow food, we try to maximize the amount of sun it receives- SHADE IS VERY LIMITED. ALL CAMPSITES ARE U-PICK, there are no designated spots. Let your creativity shine and choose as dope a spot as you like! If you're scared of driving off a paved road or frightened by the natural world we suggest glamping at another lovely Green Bluff location. Starting SEPTEMBER 23RD until OCTOBER 31ST every weekday we host hundreds of school kids on the farm. They start arriving around 9:00 am. Leave the restroom area clean after use, including wiping down showers, and keeping toilets clean. Toilet paper and cleaning supplies are provided (any donations to the supplies or firewood is greatly appreciated and follows our "pay-it-forward" philosophy.) At this time, we do not have labeled sites and ask that we all respect the desire to have space between visitors. We have not determined a maximum capacity as of yet, but our desire is to keep it small so everyone can experience the peace and tranquility of the open wilderness. We are pet friendly and ask that you act responsibly and clean up after your pet as well as keep on a leash if they possibly will act out. Please keep gates closed at all times. We may or may not be present during your stay, but at time of booking we will be able to tell you. There are so many events in this awesome town called Wallace. By providing a place for campers to stay is one way in helping to preserve and enjoy this historic, small-town gem! An arial pic is provided to illustrate camp spot possibilities. The campground is rarely this occupied- this arial is of our family and closest friends during Memorial Day weekend 2025. If you are trailer camping you will have to back in from the public roadway up an incline to access the spot. If you aren't comfortable backing your trailer in this spot might not be for you. We also welcome tent and van campers! There is a fire ring, a picnic table, tiki bar, decks, chairs, and an outhouse. There is a trail down to the dock where you can launch kayaks, paddle boards or canoes. New this season, 4 kayaks included with your stay!! The property is situated on the end of the lake with lily pads and beaver dens…. its beautiful but not the best swimming spot! If you want to take a dip in the lake the public boat launch is less than a half mile down the road! The Hidden Frog On Kelso Lake

Tucked away in the mossy rocks, The Hidden Frog offers a half acre of private, forested camping on the banks of Kelso Lake. The 60 acre lake allows non-motorized watercraft only, which makes for a peaceful, relaxing stay. The parking area has room for a vehicle and trailer up to 60ft long combined, plus another area for a single vehicle. It is adjacent to a shared driveway, so you must leave room for vehicles to get around you. You can choose to set up camp there, or down a short path to the lake where there is ample flat ground for multiple tents. The path is cleared but rocky, so always make sure to watch your step! A fire ring, shovel, bucket of water, emergency fire extinguisher, 2 chairs and one 13gal garbage bag are provided for your use. I live next door, so I'm around if there is anything you need (don't be afraid to ask!) There are no other amenities right now, but we plan on adding some as we start to make some money (i.e. an outhouse, electrical.) The shoreline is very bushy and rocky- not ideal for fishing, boating or swimming, but there is a free public boat launch site .4mi down the road, plus another at Granite lake .7mi away. Both offer a toilet, and a place for swimming and fishing (must have a fishing licence.) Please respect the boundaries and do not cross into neighbors' yards. Also, do not disturb the mosses growing on the rocks (it is a fragile ecosystem!) and respect the wildlife that make the space their home. Wildlife you may encounter includes deer, moose, beaver, otters, chipmunks, squirrels, frogs, salamanders, eagles, osprey, blue herons, ducks, and many other bird species- we are located on the Idaho Birding Trail. Nearby attractions include: Silverwood Theme Park (12mi,) Clagstone Meadows for hunting and/or hiking (1mi,) The Lavendar Farm (3.9mi,) Athol Orchards (11mi,) Farragut State Park (11mi,) Round Lake State Park (15mi)

Camp within the luscious fruit tree rows, in the middle of a vibrant pumpkin patch or even in the petting zoo! Animals welcome! IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW: We are a real working farm, not like a romanticized IG version of a farm. There are tractors running, sprayers making applications, farm animals loudly enjoying life, day customers picking fruit, and farmers about early in the morning. With that being said, we understand that experience may not be to everyone's liking. Be aware that if you do decide to camp here be ready for a real farm adventure! Another little tidbit: to grow food, we try to maximize the amount of sun it receives- SHADE IS VERY LIMITED. ALL CAMPSITES ARE U-PICK, there are no designated spots. Let your creativity shine and choose as dope a spot as you like! If you're scared of driving off a paved road or frightened by the natural world we suggest glamping at another lovely Green Bluff location. Starting SEPTEMBER 23RD until OCTOBER 31ST every weekday we host hundreds of school kids on the farm. They start arriving around 9:00 am. If the sound of children's laughter drives you absolutely insane, you might think twice about booking a stay with us in the fall. Winter camping is available, please note we typically receive a lot of snow. Early spring is the extreme mud season, please be cautious of our soft ground and stick to the roads. July-August can get very dry some years, which means the grass goes dormant and dust starts to fly. Farm=Dirt MAX STAY IS 14 DAYS. No Side by Sides (UTV's), dirt bikes, or ATV's allowed to be rallied on the property. We can suggest close spots to rally. Agriculture 101: In the early spring, fruit trees awaken from winter dormancy, bloom for a few weeks, and are pollinated by insects; the pollinated blossoms SLOWLY develop into fruit over the summer.
