Access to outdoor fire pit and deluxe gas barbecue. Abundant wildlife and beautiful lake views year-round. Located next to Avondale Golf Course (a public/private golf club). Come nurture your soul at our off-grid cabin OR our grid tied cabin with modern conveniences. Surrounded by majestic conifers, you will find yourself in a forest paradise. Make time for bird watching, star gazing and watching wildlife enjoying their natural habitat. The cabins are both situated in a very private setting opposite our main house on our 32 acre property. We are conveniently located off Hwy 95, 7 miles north of Athol, ID. Spend your days exploring nearby Farragut State Park (7 miles), Round Lake State Park (15 miles), Sandpoint (20 miles), Coeur d’Alene (30 miles), or Silverwood Theme Park (9 miles). There are multiple dining options from breakfast to dinner within 7-10 miles. We have kayaks and fishing poles available upon request as there are multiple small lakes (Kelso and Granite Lake) less than 5 miles away. We are generally available and on-site 24/7 for any issues, questions and or problems that may need solved. In the case you forget anything at all……we can find it, fix it or provide it. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Some exceptions could be accommodated for additional tent campers in the same group on a case by case basis. Outside kitchen area with propane stove. There is a compostable toilet a short walk from the cabin. 20 minute drive to Sandpoint. Dish Restaurant is a bit closer and has a general store. Sandpoint is a fun town with nearby recreational activities and has a great nightlife. This is a place to get away while still being close to the festivities. Many places to swim and fish nearby. The property is located a few miles from the lake.

To the south, Heyburn State Park enchants with rustic cabins and charming waterfront cottages. Enjoy biking? Then don’t miss a cycle on the 24-mile North Idaho Centennial Trail.

Farragut State Park

With hundreds of individual campsites for RVs and tents, plus cabins and group camps, Farragut State Park in Coeur d’Alene Mountains boasts an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities. Tree to Tree is a zipline park with wild swings and treetop rope courses for adventurers ages six and up. Farragut is also home to several disc golf courses, from Little Black Bear for beginners to Cutthroat for more experienced players. After a day in the trees, park at one of the many RV campsites in Farragut that have water and electricity hookups, plus shared showers with modern restrooms.

Heyburn State Park

The oldest state park in the Pacific Northwest, Heyburn State Park features Chatcolet, Benewah, and Hidden Lakes for terrific fishing, boating, and water sports. The meandering St. Joe River is another option for kayaking or canoeing past towering Ponderosa pine trees and flower-filled meadows. Spend the night amongst the trees at cottage and cabin rentals that offer comfortable amenities like furnished kitchens, charcoal grills, and outdoor picnic tables. Or go to a lakeside tent and RV campground near children’s playgrounds and indoor shower facilities.

Coeur d'Alene National Forest

Head deep into the woods at Coeur d’Alene National Forest, part of Idaho Panhandle National Forests. Explore the lush evergreen mountains while keeping an eye out for local wildlife, including woodland caribou, bald eagles, grizzly bears, muskrats, and black-backed woodpeckers. Hike the Bell Bay Trail around Lake Coeur d’Alene, or take a dip in the lake for a refreshing swim. When to go

Camping near Coeur d’Alene is most comfortable from late spring through early fall, when temperatures hover in the high-50s to low-60s during the day. Watch out for slippery or muddy sections on hiking trails following rainfall or snowmelt. Summer is the busiest and hottest time to visit, with daytime highs approaching the mid-80s, and there are very few rainy days.
