Call us bias, but there’s nothing better than small town life. When the "blue roof cottage by the tracks" (yes, it used to have a unique blue roof) hit the market in early 2021, we knew it had to be ours! We purchased it & flipped it into a vacation home for guests of Folkston .. and The Conductor's Corner was born. Blu By U started out as a Blueberry Farm with 4,000 Blueberry bushes, we have since expanded to having several thousand Strawberry plants. Both are of course seasonal with the season being in May for about 5 weeks. We have also expanded our property so you can enjoy more stuff. There was a lot of room and privacy for each site. We walked around and to see the river. I noticed one campground with canoes, so some must be enjoying the river.
Internet connection is sketchy, but we were able to stream using my phone as a hotspot.
The host was friendly and helpful.

Employees were very friendly. They welcomed us on site and explained everything right away
The Country store was not much but it’s also not season time for their blueberry’s, so I’m sure the store was not stocked.
It was a little run-down but that didn’t matter to us. We were just looking for a place to boon-dock. This site provided us a quiet and beautiful country feeling. We felt safe and would definitely return.

This is a great little campground, if you want to get away from it all! I kept waiting for the weather to cooperate (was a bit chilly!) to go out in my kayak on the nearby river, but the one day it might’ve been OK I already had plans to be nearby on Jekyll Island. Ron and the campground host Kathy were both very welcoming and helpful.

The site was perfect for my 25' travel trailer. It was very interesting to be in a small town. Very interesting also to have the trains pass by. Very relaxing sleeping . Will definitely be back for my travels down south in the future.

It is very nice setup up with the concrete pad. Quiet little town, until a train comes through. But I slept through the night. no problem. I think trains go through about every 45 minutes to an hour and a half. I was speaking to a train spotter and he said about 3500 rail cars go by every day. Town main street is very small with a few businesses but most were closed on Mondays.

We took advantage of having water and electric hookups during our visit and know there were other spots for Boonedocking. We parked right beside the pond and enjoyed some time fly fishing. The campsite was quiet and the grounds provided plenty of room for our boxer to walk. We recommend checking Kenny’s Hipcamp out. You won’t regret it.

I did not want to leave. I stayed for 4 days with my dogs and it was the most relaxed we’ve been on a cross country trip. There were cows to watch, resident geese, ducks and lots of other birds around to observe. The pond was perfect for the kayak and my dogs to swim whenever they wanted. Full hook ups were easy to use. Host was excellent with communication and was happy we were happy. 100 percent would stay again.

We showed up at Deep Bend Landing for just a nights stay while passing through. Passing through sounds interesting in this area because this campground is waaaaay back in the country, but my wife and I are photographers—having a hobby side with abandonment, etc. There’s plenty of this genre in the deep country of Georgia.
Even though I didn’t get the notifications, Ron worked hard to contact us so we would not be lost when we got there. Meeting with a smile and handshake, he showed us to our location and offered any answers to questions we had.
A little about the campground. This is a no frills location. While that does not appeal to some, it’s an absolutely dreamboat to people like my wife and I. The area was so peaceful and the campground was extremely quiet and peaceful—despite having multiple spots filled. The sites were spacious with lots of shade. This is the PERFECT campground for people who just want time in nature—camping. While we were just passing through this time, we’ve discussed returning on another date to possibly stay for a few days and comb the area for photography treasures.

My bestie has stayed here a few times and loves it. We were looking for a stop halfway way through are drive home and I suggested it. He wanted to make sure i understood it was not going to be quiet, I had purchased ear plugs for this stop. The grounds were clean and well maintained. Yes there were trains that went by but honestly it did not affect my sleep. It was really neat to experience it and I would definitely return.

If someone asked me what an idyllic spot to park my camper looked like, I would say someplace quiet, where I can see all the stars in the sky, nothing but nature out my front door, and maybe the occasional train horn in the distance to remind me that civilization still exists. That's Ron and Sue's property, Camp Z. I spent the week, but I could've stayed a month. If you're heading north or south through Georgia, make sure you make your way to Folkston to find Camp Z. You'll be rewarded with peach, quiet and tranquility. Idyllic!

Probably the best and most relaxing 8 nights we ever spent camping. We had 10 acres fenced in and there were 6 horses in the 20 acre field in front of us. We could let the pups out and they loved the horses and the horses were interested in them. We could only see one house in the distance and it was in the suburbs of Jacksonville Florida and close to everything. The site had complete hookups including water, sewer and 50 amp electric.
If you need to camp near Jacksonville this is the spot you want to use.
