Weekend Trip to Brooks Lake, a Peace of Heaven

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. I received a tour of the campsite and was able to pick my spot. Bill moved the picnic table to the area I chose to camp at. The property was clean although I was told there was no hot water in the shower. But it was so hot outside the cool water was welcoming. The land and sites are beautiful. Especially the sun setting and rising off the lake.

Roads need lots of work and low hanging branches aren’t good for big rigs. We managed to get our 42 ft with tow in but were very concerned about getting back out! No big problems, hit bottom a couple of times but managed to get through very tight gate at the exit without scratches on our rig. Lovely spot but obvious owner has lost interest. They mentioned it was for sale!!

2 nights at NW GA Farm Stay

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Our host met us shortly after we arrived and gave us the skinny on everything. The site was in pristine shape, well defined, flat and graveled. The water and 50 amp service worked perfectly. This is a working farm and has goats, sheep, and donkeys along with a very friendly and well-fed dog named Gordo. It was a nice open area surrounded by trees. The evenings were quiet with fireflies near the tree line. There is a very nice fire ring, although we used our free standing propane fire pit at night. Everything about our stay was perfect. If you are going to be near the area, I would strongly encourage you to book a stay here.

Really nice spot next to the creek, We stayed 2 days, stormed both nights and was greeted by lots of frogs. Early the second morning I was sitting by the creek and had a deer run past super close, definitely wasn't expecting that. there was a dog barking in the distance during the day now and then it wasn't an issue but it is something that others mentioned. campsite was clean. directions were clear.

The small trail was lovely and the sound of the cicadas and animals was so peaceful. Definitely recommend keeping up the “leave it better than you found it” policy.

I have stayed here just shy of 2 years, to say that this is such a beautiful peaceful spot would be an understatement, I have absolutely loved my time here. Brad has been such an amazing host and I am so grateful for his accommodations, kindness and hospitality. Despite my circumstances changing I would return in a heartbeat. Do not hesitate to come here, it is such a serene place!

I stayed here for the Atlanta BladeShow at the Cobb Galleria. I loved the stay, the camp ground was really nice, and Darren was super friendly/ helpful. The drive to the Cobb Galeria was only about 30 minutes. I can't recommend this spot highly enough. Also, the location of power, water, and the septic hookup was very convenient!

Weekend Trip to ATL OASIS RV Parking & Campgrounds

This is truly an oasis. The area near the entrance has many spaces for RV/Campers. Up the hill is for tents, but I drove my Campervan up the hill and had a great spot for my van and awning. There's electric hookups all over. There's light posts, as well, for each area. The common area is what makes this place stand out! A bathroom house with washer, dryer, microwave, and coffee machine. A fire pit, grill, small playground, community garden, etc. I plan to return soon for an entire week, or longer.

There is a 1 mile trail around the property that you're welcome to enjoy, it's cleared enough for hiking, bikes, or golf carts. There are grocery and supply stores less than a 10 minute drive away in case you forget any necessities. While you're here feel free to feed the cows (they like watermelon and apples,) but please don't enter the pasture or climb the fences. There is potable water available on-site, but not at the camping location, and a compost toilet will be provided to you on arrival. You'll also get a bundle of firewood and fire pit dropped to your chosen campsite. Please keep the fire in the pit to avoid any runaway flames.

Weaving Woods Farm

The property features a 1 1/2 acre pond stocked with catfish and bream and has a nice little dock with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the water. There are animals! I have a beloved Scottish Highland cow named Genia and she is joined with two mini bulls and two mini cows. Various numbers of Nigerian Dwarf goats join them in the pasture. There are also a few chickens. Small garden beds and a fruit orchard are on the property and I usually have at least a half dozen projects of one sort or another going on. Several acres are wooded and there is ample space for a nature trail that I try to keep maintained. Several of the usual types wildlife can be seen. Are you an artist or a writer? This is a great place for comtemplation and inspiration. I myself have 40 years experience as an art teacher and professor. If you would like to have a mini workshop, let me help. Water is available not far from the campsites. There is also a portable pop up potty/shower tent (with bucket and seat) available.
