Steve and his wife are such lovely people! Their property was great to camp at. The location is about 10 minutes from the beach. The campsite has a little fire place and picnic table to use. The bathroom was great and the access to the pool and tiki bar in their yard was great. Such a great stay. Thank you Steve and Rachel!!!

Weekend Trip to Patmos Island

Craig was a great host, easy going and personable. Staying at Craig’s place was our second Hipcamp experience, and it was everything we could have asked for. The RV space is simply appointed with all the services, and access was unencumbered in our 24’ class-C motorhome. The neighborhood felt safe and provided a great place to walk our cattledog, Indigo. Fortunately Craig’s dog is easygoing and friendly like his “owner.” He tolerated our not so easygoing and not so friendly 11 year old Indigo girl. We would certainly stay here again should we ever find ourselves traveling down the east coast of Florida.

I think we saw 8 different kinds of butterflies. It was so relaxing to just watch them. The site had a brand new picnic table and fire ring. There are trees all around every site so you have some privacy from neighbors. Really enjoyed our stay.

This is a beautiful location with spacious well-kept grounds and a peaceful resting place after a busy day at nearby theme parks, beach, or Kennedy Space exhibit. Acreage to walk dogs or for children; wooded area at the margins; and horses in a pasture next door. During the day there is a mild air traffic noise but not bothersome. Jim is the best host I can imagine; he is there to help us get settled and parked, and back again to wish us well as we leave. I would happily stay here again!!!

Steve's place was great! The campsite was cozy and private, and having the use of the pool, bathroom, and outdoor shower was perfect. Between swimming in the pool and chasing lizards in the garden, the kids were absolutely content. Steve is a great guy and very thoughtful host. We can't wait for our next trip!

We loved staying at Jay's. He was very welcoming and went out of his way to help us out. The description is exactly as listed. He has a couple of options for set up locations. His property has the feeling of being remote. However, you are only a few minutes away from grocery and some other stores and restaurants. It is a short drive to the beach or inland water way/Indian River. Jay was available and easy to get in contact with. He helped us with many questions about the area and where to go. We were even able to catch two rocket launches just from the back yard. If you want a quieter Florida experience give Jay's place a visit. Next time we are in the area or passing through, this will be our stay of choice.

Weekend Trip to Patmos Island

We loved it here. It was so peaceful and quiet. The land is beautiful and well maintained and was perfect for walking our over-excited dog. It was his first ever camping trip in our new to us travel trailer, so he was already dealing with a lot of change. Having his walks be so low key instead of being in a busy campground made it much more relaxing for all of us. The site was clean, the full hookups were in excellent working order, and there's a trash can and recycling bin right on it which was super convenient. Craig was very welcoming. We felt safe and comfortable and really enjoyed our little getaway.

The Farmland is beautiful. We loved watching the sunrise over the pastors. The horses and chickens were fun to watch. The Host Mark was a great guy. Fun to talk to and very accommodating. It's a peaceful place to camp. I would recommend this place!

Property is very well maintained. We rarely saw a mosquito. It was probably one of the nicest out houses. We enjoyed our time at this camp. And even loved the breeze that came through with a coffee in the morning. It was nice!

Dogs must be on at least a 10ft leash and restrained at all times. Dogs are not to be left unattended outside at any time. If you are going to leave for an extended amount of time you need to take your dog with or find a doggie day care. We boarder the Ocala National Forest with it's 100 miles of trails for hiking, biking, fishing, OHV and horseback riding. Alexander Springs is the closest among many to snorkel, canoe and/or swim in 72* crystal clear water year round. Mt. Dora, Umatilla and Eustis are within 20 mins for restaurants, shops, golf and antiques, etc. If you have any questions your hosts will be happy to help. Choose a site to book - this may not be the actual site that you will have due to the booking calendar. You may be able to change once you arrive if other sites are available for your length of stay. Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future. However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families. As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch. You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It's a quiet setting behind Sacred Heart church, sandwiched between a large open field and the railroad tracks far in back behind trees. We've worked hard to make it a cozy retreat - like setting where people can spend a few nights in an affordable manner just 5 minutes from the beaches and fun New Smyrna Beach attractions. Biking, boating, sunning, fishing, paddle-boarding, kayaking, eating... all within a few minutes of your quiet retreat. Our house is on the property but it's 200 feet away behind trees/bushes. It's a 100 year old house built from the wood of a church in NSB. Lifted up on a Coquina rock wall it is quite unique. There is a large secluded area where your dogs can be run. We have dogs too but there's plenty of room to share.

SURFER'S PARADIZE

Grocery store and restaurants nearby. 1 mi from the highway. 15min to Flagler Beach (top surf place in Florida!). A lot of stuff to do around - fishing, canoeing and swimming( ocean is10-15 minutes drive), natural preserves, parks and historic places. Tennis court, pickle ball courts and a play ground (5min walk). Daytona Beach and historic St.Augustine( 20-30 min drive). A little over an hour to Orlando, Jacksonville or Cape Canaveral. We have a water and electricity hook ups. Spaces for the boats are available also. No sewage disposal. There is a dog on the property. Dogs are ok but have to be cleaned after and be on the leash.Please no loud noise after the dark, no drugs or heavy drinking, no loud parties. No slipping in tents allowed.
