St. Pete Beach, Clearwater Beach, Pass-a-Grille Beach (and countless more), the Manatee Viewing Center and the Skyway Fishing Pier (longest fishing pier in the world) are about 30-45 mins away! Venice and Casperson Beach- the shark tooth capital of the world- is less than a hour drive from us! Come and go as you please! Safe and welcoming neighborhood. I had a wonderful stay! The area was perfect with lots of restaurants nearby and a Publix within walking distance. There's a farmers market on the weekends around the corner. Check in was quick and easy at the entrance, we were escorted to our site, and the accommodations for us and our pets were excellent. The trailer was clean and well equipped, including kitchen equipment, fresh towels, and linens. The WiFi worked well, and there was a good selection of cable channels on tv. There was such a large choice of amenities in the park that most people could stay busy. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, fitness center, activities throughout the day, and walking trails all over the park. Additionally there is an on site restaurant next to the pool to pick up a quick meal. Would definitely stay there again. Check out was a simple task of dropping off the key.

We absolutely loved our stay at this waterfront cabin in Key Largo. The location was fantastic with beautiful views right from the cabin, and the place itself was comfortable and perfect for our family. Our kids had the best time swimming, watching the sunset over the water, and just soaking in the relaxed island vibe.
A highlight of the trip was the 4.5-hour snorkeling tour with Silent World Dive Center, which was an amazing experience and something we would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. We also really enjoyed the delicious treats at Keys Chocolate and Ice Cream, which quickly became a family favorite stop. Overall, this stay was unforgettable and we already cannot wait to come back.

Ancelin and Aaron have served up the best of glamorous camping at Coco Plum. With a thatched roof and three walls you have have indoor privacy while still feeling very much outdoors. It really seems like they have thought of everything and have put a lot of love and attention to detail into this place. You are sharing their property and they are extremely gracious and warm hosts, welcoming you to use the pool, hot tub, boats and bikes. This is a place for nature lovers and nature is there in abundance, so if you are uncomfortable with critters, including snakes, spiders, wasps, and mice, this stay is not for you. If on the other hand you love critters, you will be spoiled here and like me, probably not want to leave.

We had, inexplicably, the BEST time at Coco Plum. It was even better in person. CLEAN, SEXY, NATURAL. Plenty of activities to do, we did so much without ever leaving the place for a couple days. We got in close to sunset and started fishing from the water’s edge, then enjoyed a peddle boat down the canal and hot tubbing before bed. The next day we fished on the John boat, bicycled, drank, danced, played chess, watched a movie, enjoyed varying types of tacos for our meals via the grill. Very relaxing and fun time. It was the perfect place for a little getaway for our 2 year anniversary, a convenient distance from home, 2 hours. Ancelin and Aaron were AMAZING hosts. Tended to any and all questions easily. Very much people you can’t wait to know better! It was our first time using Hipcamp, we are usually Airbnb users, but we had a lovely experience finding this haven. We will certainly recommend this place to our friends/ family and cannot wait to revisit!

The Everglades National Park
The Everglades holds the title of the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. Given this size, campers have plenty to see across the park’s grasslands and forests. If you’d prefer a more active camping getaway, grab your scuba gear, kayak, or fishing pole, and take to the water.
The Florida Keys
Salt air, vibrant sunsets, and Ernest Hemingway’s cats—the Florida Keys do it all. Key West not only marks Florida’s southernmost point, but claims the title of the country’s southernmost city. Campers can snorkel, swim, and lounge at a coastal campground. Once you’ve explored your campsite, visit Dry Tortugas National Park for even more views. A night of stargazing from your tent site may leave you tired, so grab a cuban coffee and let the Keys energize you.
When to go
Before you go camping in South Florida, consider the weather, mosquitoes, and wildlife. Avoid coastal Florida during hurricane season, especially if you’re planning a getaway to the Florida Keys. Summer in the Everglades likewise brings bugs, whereas winter’s dry season opens the door for spotting wildlife. However, winter does come with crowds, especially in national parks and resort towns. Spring and fall make for the most neutral camping seasons.
