Weekend Trip to Cozy Freedom at Earthperks Farm

What a treasure to find! The #2 tent spot is secluded enough for complete privacy, but close enough to the main house that I felt safe, camping alone as a woman. All the ammenities are there, water and standard 120v electric at the site, picnic table, fire pit and well-maintained grounds. It's approx. a 25 min drive to the Speedway and downtown. This is now where I will stay every tine I visit Daytona. I attended Jeep week. When I arrived, I knew my initial accomodations weren't going to work for me, I needed a quiet spot to wind down at night. I reached out and Mindy responded right away, answered all of my questions and I was booked within 20 mins. She even sent me a detailed map and instructions on how to find my spot, the showers and the kitchen. As an Airbnb host of several units myself, my expectations can be high. This is a hidden gem so near to downtown.

Weekend Trip to Patmos Island

Craig was a great host, easy going and personable. Staying at Craig’s place was our second Hipcamp experience, and it was everything we could have asked for. The RV space is simply appointed with all the services, and access was unencumbered in our 24’ class-C motorhome. The neighborhood felt safe and provided a great place to walk our cattledog, Indigo. Fortunately Craig’s dog is easygoing and friendly like his “owner.” He tolerated our not so easygoing and not so friendly 11 year old Indigo girl. We would certainly stay here again should we ever find ourselves traveling down the east coast of Florida.

I think we saw 8 different kinds of butterflies. It was so relaxing to just watch them. The site had a brand new picnic table and fire ring. There are trees all around every site so you have some privacy from neighbors. Really enjoyed our stay.

This is a beautiful location with spacious well-kept grounds and a peaceful resting place after a busy day at nearby theme parks, beach, or Kennedy Space exhibit. Acreage to walk dogs or for children; wooded area at the margins; and horses in a pasture next door. During the day there is a mild air traffic noise but not bothersome. Jim is the best host I can imagine; he is there to help us get settled and parked, and back again to wish us well as we leave. I would happily stay here again!!!

Small and quite campground, great for stargazing at night. The host was helpful and very nice to chat with. There are no showers but they to provide water hookups for those quick rinse offs. Lovely view of the lake in front of the property.

Had a wonderful stay here with the goats and chickens! By far the best outdoor bathroom & shower I’ve been to. The host is funny and generous, their property offers a surprising amount of privacy for its proximity to any shop you could need. They fit us in last minute midweek, truly a great spot to stay!

We loved camping on Laura’s land. So peaceful and relaxing. She showed us where to back in and hookup. After that, we felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was amazing! Beautiful view of the lake. We were able to view 2 rocket launches on the site - amazing views! There was a deer family that visited us every day. We hope to go back very soon!

4 nights at Roots ReTREEt in Old Florida

We loved staying at Jay's. He was very welcoming and went out of his way to help us out. The description is exactly as listed. He has a couple of options for set up locations. His property has the feeling of being remote. However, you are only a few minutes away from grocery and some other stores and restaurants. It is a short drive to the beach or inland water way/Indian River. Jay was available and easy to get in contact with. He helped us with many questions about the area and where to go. We were even able to catch two rocket launches just from the back yard. If you want a quieter Florida experience give Jay's place a visit. Next time we are in the area or passing through, this will be our stay of choice.

Weekend Trip to Patmos Island

We loved it here. It was so peaceful and quiet. The land is beautiful and well maintained and was perfect for walking our over-excited dog. It was his first ever camping trip in our new to us travel trailer, so he was already dealing with a lot of change. Having his walks be so low key instead of being in a busy campground made it much more relaxing for all of us. The site was clean, the full hookups were in excellent working order, and there's a trash can and recycling bin right on it which was super convenient. Craig was very welcoming. We felt safe and comfortable and really enjoyed our little getaway.

It's more of a staging location for something else you're looking to do, rather than a camping venue. The amenities include a pavilion with an outside kitchen, dinning and living area. There is also a ( large shed converted to a ) cook shack with a full size fridge, microwave, electric burners and a toaster oven. There is also a bathroom with a full-size shower/tub, hot water and a toilet. It comes with all of the basics to be comfortable while you camp. Also, you have a good chance of being alone. we usually only book 1 party at a time, Just message me to confirm. The property has enough lighting to completely light up the common area. There is also water and electric all over the property. There is a shooting range right outside of the property that is part of the forest. There is Blue Sink several miles away, it is a spring feed swimming hole that is deep enough for SCUBA. There is horse trails and OHV trails as well. This camp was a hunting camp and still has an huge animal cleaning station on the back side of the property, with water, drainage, power, lighting and all stainless steel sinks and counters. Come to play and explore or come to relax. Our camp is always (slowly)being Improved, you might see work in progress so be aware there may be a consolidated area that looks messy. This is a camp, everything gets dusty, and there are bugs. We keep the yard kept up and do what we can to limit bugs in the common area. I recommend a 4x4 although I don’t own one my self. The roads are usually decent, but the weather has a lot to do with roads in the forest.
