What a treasure to find! The #2 tent spot is secluded enough for complete privacy, but close enough to the main house that I felt safe, camping alone as a woman. All the ammenities are there, water and standard 120v electric at the site, picnic table, fire pit and well-maintained grounds. It's approx. a 25 min drive to the Speedway and downtown. This is now where I will stay every tine I visit Daytona.
I attended Jeep week. When I arrived, I knew my initial accomodations weren't going to work for me, I needed a quiet spot to wind down at night. I reached out and Mindy responded right away, answered all of my questions and I was booked within 20 mins. She even sent me a detailed map and instructions on how to find my spot, the showers and the kitchen.
As an Airbnb host of several units myself, my expectations can be high. This is a hidden gem so near to downtown.

Very nice spot on a little pond with interesting birds to watch. Nice gadgets on the premises like swings and various lawn furniture. Good place to relax. Very friendly host. Definitely highly recommendable. Power, water on the site and great outdoor shower. Thank you for having us🙋🏼♀️

What a WONDERFUL experience! Rich and Mindy made my stay SO incredible. The facility is gorgeous and located in such a terrific and easily accessible location to amenities like the beach. They have obviously put great effort into making the property a special place. It was amazing getting to know the hosts as well! I would highly recommend this site, and can’t wait to come back for another visit (hopefully soon!)

Loved this eclectic, beautiful spot! Wes met us upon arrival and was very welcoming. The site was nice and private with a view of the pond and a family of cranes that visited each evening. We found great hiking and biking trails within minutes, and we tried to watch a SpaceX launch but it kept getting scrubbed. Wes and Tanya were very responsive, offered fire wood for our campfire, and provided a place for trash and recycling. Definitely 5 stars and hope to return!

This was our second stay. They are the best Hosts out of all the Hipcamps we have stayed. That is saying something because we have not had a bad experience at any. They provide a great place to stay & are willing to go above & beyond ( not that it is needed for us) The proximity for what we were doing in the area is Awesome , Secluded but yet Close to everything

Our stay at Site 420 – Clermont / At Shady Oaks was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we reached out to Tanya and Wes, they were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. We had a few questions before booking, and they responded quickly, making the process seamless. They even allowed us to check in early, which was a huge plus for our family!
The site itself was perfect—nestled in a peaceful, natural setting with a beautiful view of the lake. We were lucky enough to see large herons with their babies right next to us, adding to the magic of the experience. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak in nature, all while being just a short drive from Mount Dora, which made for a great day trip.
Tanya and Wes went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their communication was fantastic, from providing clear directions to checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable. It’s clear they take great care in maintaining their property and making their guests feel at home.
We truly appreciate their kindness and hospitality and can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a peaceful and well-maintained spot to camp with wonderful hosts, this is the place! Thank you, Tanya and Wes, for an amazing stay!

We loved camping on site 420. We overlooked the water and enjoyed the family of cranes and other wildlife. The directions to get there were easy to follow and Wes was great to show us around and gave extra information about where places were in town when we asked. Tanya and Wes are great hosts and their place was great! I would recommend this spot to everyone!
