The Blueberry Farm was everything I had hoped for and more. The camper I stayed in (The Gunnisack) was the perfect combination of well-appointed, cozy, and rustic, with all the amenities to make for a comfortable experience. An excellent mattress, an AC, all necessary cooking implements, firewood, a fire bowl, tiki torches... Cassandra truly thought of everything. The Gunnisack is tucked away in a little wooded bower, so it's perfect for anyone in search of peace and quiet. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a rustic, homey getaway that's close to all the amazing nature that Central Florida has to offer (the manatees, gators, monkeys, and incredible birds of Ocala National Forest are just a short drive away).

There aren't words enough to explain the amazing vibe of this place.....just book a site. We recommend the Tikka masala add on. Beautifully done 4 course meal, fine dinning meal in a laid back casual setting with one of a kind hosts! Kudos Christina and Kennedy can't wait to return for a 3 retreat!

Had an amazing stay at Hookie’s Hideaway Forest Camp! Cassandra was a fantastic host—super friendly and welcoming. The outdoor shower with hot water was a great touch, and the campsite itself was peaceful and well-maintained. It’s a fantastic spot to visit with kids, and we loved getting fresh eggs from the farm’s chickens. Beautiful, relaxing vibes all around, and the location is perfect—close to the springs. Highly recommend!

Our stay was wonderful! Patricia and her husband are very welcoming. Their campspot is very nice with views of the woods, Oleno State Park, and deer!! It is also very quiet. You will rest well. They have chickens and sold us eggs, too; that was a nice bonus. Florida State Parks are hard to get reservations and that is why we choose hippcamping and this did not dissapoint

We will definitely be coming back to explore. Oh my goodness. My partner and I have been disheartened with the state of the world and working multiple jobs and moving and my daughter and I have been having health issues. So we just really needed some rest and mental peace. Kennedy was such a sweet awesome human and the space was everything anticipated. Nothing like a naked nap by the water ✌️ 🤤

We had an amazing time staying at little lulu! Cassandra was very attentive and greeted us upon arrival. We felt right at home. The RV was perfect for our weekend getaway. It was spacious enough for us and had all the amenities we needed. Little lulu is perfectly tucked away in the woods and we had enough privacy from the other campers but close enough to the outhouse. I would highly recommend staying here and if I’m ever in the area again I would happily stay here again.

My husband and i have birthdays within a couple weeks of each other and decided to celebrate them at Cristina’s property. The WiFi password hints at getting off your devices and we took that advice to heart. Naps, reading, walks/exploration, bike rides, wild animals, farm animals (including the friendliest kitty), sunsets, and sunrises was the prescription and the Waterfront Island Bungalow delivered. On top of that, Cristina and Ed were gracious and welcoming hosts. If you are looking to relax and unplug, this should be your destination. We’ll be back.

This was a phenomenal property. Absolutely perfect for our plans. We brought a ground of Young Men ages 14-17 here for a few days and they had such an incredible experience. There was something for everyone and I would highly recommend the property to anyone. I may be trying to organize another stay here specifically because of how great it was for our needs. Additionally, Declan was very responsive to our questions and requests. Top notch!

2 nights at Waterfront Island Bungalow

This was an outstanding experience. The hosts are kind, intentional, and organized while the cat, goats, ducks & chickens fill out an ensemble cast. It isn’t exactly an “old Florida” vibe but both Publix & Whole Foods are over an hour (plus a boat ride) away. Amaze your followers with the words “secluded cabin on a private island” but be prepared to bring your own mimosas and canapés.

Weekend Trip to Serene Forested Blueberry Farm

This was my first time experiencing an RV! My partner and I planned a quick Valentine's Day trip in Ocala to do some resetting and found this cozy little RV in the middle of this super cute farm. The area is so serene and peaceful. Even though the land has multiple RVs, I never felt we were close together with the other families. Everything felt private. Cassandra and her family were great hosts and helped us out initially when we got a little lost. It was a beautiful experience and I'd love to come back again one day. Thank you!

Rooterville is a nonprofit sanctuary, home to approx 100 rescued farm animals of all types, THEY make it an amazing place to visit! When you stay with us, you are welcome to explore the sanctuary and interact with the animals. The only place off limits is our cow pasture. But you can book a cow cuddle if you'd like to go in and interact with the cows, especially the Highland cow. It is a wonderful experience for the cow lovers. Come on out to the country for the experience of a lifetime interacting with sweet farm animals in luxury accommodations or bring your own RV or a tent and "rough" it in your choice of spots on our beautiful 20 acre property surrounded by lots of amazing wild creatures of all sorts and our friendly animal ambassadors. We have butterfly gardens, one with a bee hive, and we're surrounded by natural woodlands in a convenient yet private and peaceful setting. Maybe you'll spot a bald eagle getting a meal from our ponds! There's so much to see and enjoy right here at the sanctuary, we have over 100 rescued animals who can't wait to meet you and maybe bum a snack from you too. You are welcome to bring snacks to feed the animals or buy some from our gift shop. If you get bored, there is plenty to do nearby: Goldhead Park, a paved Bike Trail, Jacksonville, St Augustine, High Springs, Ocala and Gainesville are all within an hour's drive. Melrose is quaint and rural. We don't rush here. Except at feeding time! You'll get to experience that too if you get out early enough. (9AM) We can't wait to meet you! You'll come as a guest and leave as a friend! No smoking in our units, no pets due to our animals and our Anatolian guard dog who will love you but not a pooch they don't know. CAMPERS & RV's, NO ADMITTANCE TO THE SANCTUARY FOR BOOK-IN AFTER 10PM WITHOUT EXPRESS PERMISSION, please be considerate of the owner and others here trying to sleep!
