John and his family continually freshen up the property. For me the single camper, the hideaway and Creekside A are more private the other sites are closer to the common areas where families can watch their kids play while the adults watch from the tiki bar. The bathroom and shower are separated and very clean. There is a lot to look at throughout this property and lots of hiking trails nearby.

I've been all over to hipcamp sites throughout Florida and they all have their own thing, but this is the best one I've been to. I love this campsite. It was great and i highly recommend.

Great Host! Great, private, and shady at the Hideaway. Asked for firewood took 15 min. Highly recommend all camp sites and hangin out on the creek. And post tour of the cabin is a 10+. Thank you to John his, wife and John Jr. for providing a safe, clean, and fun envoriment

Me and my husband stayed at Creekside A!
It was beautiful! Large area on the creek with lots of tables and chairs and an awesome firepit. John’s place is a must see! He has a beautiful area to unwind in the shade at all the sites. The “common” area is so cool. The shower and bathroom area is the perfect set up. You will not be disappointed. Close enough to everything you want to do in the area. Or just sit back and enjoy the camp. I would highly recommend hipcamper’s to check it out 👍🏼👍🏼

J&P is a beautiful, quiet, and pleasant place. The host was very helpful and friendly. My dog had a unique experience, free range, playing with other dogs, and the kids had a blast fishing and exploring. There were no mosquitoes. All the facilities were clean and accessible. I highly recommend it. We will visit again.

Our experience was excellent. Mr. John was super friendly and accessible at all times. The place was beautiful, peaceful, with the sound of birds and nature. The kids fished, played, and swam. The dogs felt free the whole time. We had a wonderful experience. I definitely recommend it! We will definitely visit again! Thanks, John. We had a great time.🥰

Phenomenal spot!! 10/10 would recommend. Especially creekside A campsite. We basically had the whole back area to ourselves. Very secluded, very quiet. The bathroom was super clean and had AC if you want to sneak in for a quick break from the heat. The outdoor shower was a nice touch. We rented the two man Kayak and went up the river a couple miles. Fish were jumping out the water is was so full of fish. John was an excellent Host and I even offered us to stay a little longer after check out since he didn’t have anyone else coming in after us. We paid for 4 bundles of wood and John’s son damn cut us down a whole tree!!! lol awesome:) we had a blast, definitely lots of mosquitoes for about an hour after the sun goes down being by the river and all but after that clear sky’s and good times. Definitely would recommend any family especially with kids to stay at this campsite. They even had a little trees house for the kiddos to chill in. Very cool. Good WiFi service too. This Memorial Day will be remembered forever. Thanks John!!!

John's creekside property is a slice of paradise! And John is the ultimate host making sure we felt completely at home on his beautiful property. Love that there are kayaks available, plenty of space to sit,relax, surrounded by beautiful flowers, plants, and birds viewing the creek, not only at our beautiful site but in the large backyard where the outdoor bar, firepit, treehouse, and dock with sundeck were. The half bath was airconditioned and impeccable and the outdoor shower has a privacy fence. Our site even had a hammock, charcoal grill, and plenty of chairs around firepit and tables. A true gem. Perfect for family gatherings!

This was our last round of camping in Florida before heading north to Georgia, and J&P Creekside Retreat is an awesome place for camping! We have called it “magical” … with the majestic oak trees along the Shell Creek and all kinds of fauna and wildlife near the creek banks. The hosts John and Patty are friendly, kind, helpful, and attentive to any of your needs, and son JJ goes out of his way to keep the grounds so beautiful. If you are looking for a great camping retreat in Southwest Florida, this is the one! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

We had a relaxing and fun time at J & P’s campground! He has it set up with chairs, picnic tables, and a hammock which is so nice to have all that already there so we could get our camper parked and then chill out and enjoy the peaceful campsite. We were able to use the lights and fan in our camper but the voltage was not strong enough to run our AC. We stayed on A which has a kayak access at the site and it’s just a couple minutes walk to the dock and swimming area. Unfortunately we couldn’t have a fire because there was a “no burn” in effect because of the drought FL is in right now. We only stayed one night but I would’ve loved to stay one or 2 more nights :) We hope to go back!
