Our three back-in camper sites are located behind our home under the shade of coconut and mango trees or by our barn, with a separate driveway and turnaround large enough for even the biggest fifth wheel trailers. Guests receive a personal code that activates at their check-in time and deactivates at their check-out time. There are two smart locks - one on the entrance of the main house and one on the pool house.
The whole property is available for your use.El Portal is the smallest municipality in Miami-Dade County less than a mile from I95 and close to Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports. It’s s short drive to beaches and the attractions and shopping in downtown Miami.

I was warmly welcomed at George’s campground! I was not sure at first how I would fare with the campsite being tucked away from the car and the outhouse but it seems the body adapts quite quickly when you get clean air and peaceful quiet time at night. It is a touch of wild forest in the middle of a suburban desert. George has been taking a step by step process to bridge people back to nature. You are experiencing a snapshot of a vision in flux! He is highly communicative whatever your needs and a pleasure to meet! I would gladly return. It is great to be close to town with great food options as well.

My girlfriend and I just finished a two-night stay at this wonderful location. The property is 5 acres and only hosts a few guests at a time so the campsites felt remote. The host is extremely passionate about permaculture and love to share knowledge - just ask! As it is a native environment you should expect mosquitoes, critters, and everything that comes along with it - including butterflies, dragonflies, and all of natures beauty.
The campsite were tricky to find and I recommend coordinating that in advance, as once the sun goes down, it's DARK.
Overall, a great getaway and I would stay here again. It's a short drive to Blue Heron Bridge and other West Palm locations.

The palm trees are UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL!!!! Very quiet, very private. The sites are very yyyy roomy. Sweet dogs are there, wish I had more time fir my girl to play with them!! Hagan was a very accommodating host and his land is nice to stay on away from the huddle of the city, but within close proximity. We enjoyed the ability to relax under the royal palms and space to play with our dog. Very reasonable price for full hookups 👌🏽
