Just go a little bit further until you see the sign for Camp Seminole Spring.
Bring bug spray and sun screen. If you need something, don't worry! There is a Dollar General, a gas station and a small cafe within walking distance.
We have 38 acres of camping sites nature trails for hiking and mountain biking.
Guests can park right on their site, or they have the option of parking and hiking into the woods to set up their site a bit more remote and off the beaten path.
This is rustic camping. We have a bathhouse located at the campsites with showers. The bathhouse at the Great Lodge
hereas we do have garbage cans, we prefer that anything you bring into the property, you bring out with you.
We allow campfires.
Don't be surprised if you see a monkey or two in the trees...
The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit.
We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish.
Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature.
Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world.
This scenic property has an artesian spring which pushes out 1.6 million gallons of water per day rated among the top three percent of water in the world with an 8.4 natural pH. This water fills the pond and then continues on to flow into Orange Creek.
Camp Seminole Springs was established in the 1940’s as a honeymoon resort and campground. The founders built a heart-shaped ‘pond-spring’ which is filled with the crystal-clear water pushed out from the spring where guests can lounge by the beach or gaze down into the bottom through the glass-like water or take a refreshing swim.
At the top of the hill overlooking the heart-shaped spring, one will find the rustic Great Lodge where guests can come and mingle with each other, enjoy a relaxing conversation and a drink on the veranda or just sit and watch the activity in and around the spring.

The FOLC Farm (Florida Outdoor Learning Collective) is a homestead, outdoor learning center, and community event space in Gainesville, FL. The five tent sites are within the campground circle where no cars are allowed for camper safety. The parking area is within 150 feet (45 meters) of the various sites, and a cart is available to move your gear. Sites are 25–50 feet (8–15 meters) apart.
Dogs are not allowed for the safety and comfort of other campers. If your private group is renting the whole campground, you may bring a leashed pet when it is not in your tent or van.
If you are looking for a single private campsite far from town, this is not for you. We have 38 acres of camping sites nature trails for hiking and mountain biking.
Guests can park right on their site, or they have the option of parking and hiking into the woods to set up their site a bit more remote and off the beaten path.
This is rustic camping. We have a bathhouse located at the campsites with showers. The bathhouse at the Great Lodge
hereas we do have garbage cans, we prefer that anything you bring into the property, you bring out with you.
We allow campfires.
Don't be surprised if you see a monkey or two in the trees...
The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit.
We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish.
Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature.
Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world.
This scenic property has an artesian spring which pushes out 1.6 million gallons of water per day rated among the top three percent of water in the world with an 8.4 natural pH. This water fills the pond and then continues on to flow into Orange Creek.
Camp Seminole Springs was established in the 1940’s as a honeymoon resort and campground. The founders built a heart-shaped ‘pond-spring’ which is filled with the crystal-clear water pushed out from the spring where guests can lounge by the beach or gaze down into the bottom through the glass-like water or take a refreshing swim.
At the top of the hill overlooking the heart-shaped spring, one will find the rustic Great Lodge where guests can come and mingle with each other, enjoy a relaxing conversation and a drink on the veranda or just sit and watch the activity in and around the spring.

The five tent sites are within the campground circle where no cars are allowed for camper safety. The parking area is within 150 feet (45 meters) of the various sites, and a cart is available to move your gear. Sites are 25–50 feet (8–15 meters) apart.
Dogs are not allowed for the safety and comfort of other campers. If your private group is renting the whole campground, you may bring a leashed pet when it is not in your tent or van.
If you are looking for a single private campsite far from town, this is not for you. Amazing site. One of the best campsites I have stayed at. I spent the trip with my son and we had an incredible time. The site is spacious, flat, and well laid out, which makes it great for families and groups. The fire pit and seating area made evenings easy and relaxing, and the grill and picnic tables were well positioned and practical. There is plenty to do without leaving camp, but town is close for food and supplies. Walmart is right off the highway, and there are solid local spots nearby, including a fun vinyl record shop in town. We enjoyed it so much that we already booked the site again and are bringing our whole family back in a few weeks.

I stayed 2 nights at La Quinta Bonita and I’ll tell you what. - what a peaceful little retreat with such down-to-earth and easy-going helpful hosts! If only time and life had allowed for a longer stay, I would not have hesitated to extend mine.
With the exception of nature’s nightly medley of hoots and howls (which is what this city boy NEEDS on retreats! lol ), the quiet was very refreshing.
The little camper is bigger than meets the eye when you enter it. Shower, toilet, all I needed worked well. Running water throughout.
Fresh eggs and hand-picked veggies for breakfast was a plus. Best omelet I’ve made in a long time. When I arrived, I was shown around and if I needed help, it was easy to get. I’m very much looking forward to many visits to come.

The FOLC Farm was a fantastic location for camping, with clean sites and easily accessible amenities. The location's closeness to Gainesville proper and Paynes Prairie gave it a unique feeling of being somewhat out in the wilderness, while simultaneously having quick access to markets, festivals, and generally urban conveniences. 10/10 would recommend if you're looking for a nice campground that's not too far from both city and natural attractions.

Fantastic location super close to populated downtown Gainesville, great place to camp out for football or sporting events clean bathroom facility, and great hot showers would highly recommend for family camping or just a great weekend retreat also super close to Paynes, Prairie State Park, and lots of great hiking and walking areas with amazing birds/wildlife right down the road. There’s also great food in downtown Gainesville. Which as I said is only a few minutes away.
The host also offers really cool first-aid classes you can sign up for through her website, which I highly recommend!

Loved camping at the FOLC Farm! Spent 7 nights there during a WFR course, really enjoyed the location. The campsite is clean and private. The outdoor shower has hot water, which was really nice. There’s a lot to do in the surrounding area, with nice trails within walking distance and downtown just a couple minutes drive too. 10/10 would recommend

I will be back. Enjoyed my stay, campfire and got to see some Sandhills Cranes in the farmer’s pasture next door. Next trip, I plan on going to Paynes Prairie to see the bison and wild horses.

With kids
This RV campsite was just as listed and met all our expectations. The space was private, very clean, and clearly well maintained. There were additional amenities, including a pool, that we didn’t use due to the time of year. The site was spacious enough for our Class A, trailer, and SxS with plenty of room to maneuver. The trailhead at the park was perfect and made getting out and exploring easy. It was peaceful and easy to settle in, and we would absolutely stay here again.

2 nights at Wildflower Pond and Woodlands
Firstly NESTLE sucks and is ruining local agriculture and access to water. That being said the family was wonderful, we had a very kind note and some great tea left by Allie and had the pleasure of meeting her father who was just a ray of sunshine. The campsite is def more of a summer camp but it was BEAUTIFUL every second! Thanks again yall!!

We recently went camping and had a wonderful stay at this beautiful campsite. The property is one of the best we’ve ever camped at, and it was so much fun to explore. One of the highlights was the huge covered pavilion with power and water. It was a great bonus to be able to set our tents up underneath it, with plenty of space for cooking, eating and hanging out as well. The site also has bathroom access, which was very convenient.
There are so many fantastic amenities here, especially for families, including a variety of toys, bikes, a kids’ play area, a trampoline, a hammock, and a variety of games. There were plenty of tables and chairs, and the fire rings located throughout the property were perfect for campfires. The campsite is surrounded by a river, making the setting especially peaceful and enjoyable.
The host, MK, was excellent with communication and very accommodating. We had a great experience and plan to return next year. We would definitely recommend this campsite to others.

We stayed for two nights. We had a wonderful time. The bed was comfortable and the stove worked well. Normally, I drag my boyfriend into the woods and we hike 10-20 miles but this was one of the coldest couple of days recently with a low of 33! Lulu was warm and comfortable. We sat around the fire and just relaxed for both days. We didn't eat out the entire time since I was able to cook but there were some options.
Check out the book on the table for other folk's experiences and suggestions on restaurants and local things to do and don't forget to leave yours.
We brought our own pots & pans but if you only use the stove for coffee/tea and use the grill for food you may not need them. We made tandoori chicken on the grill & naan, chili, and breakfast for both days in the house. TIP: The propane tank is outside to the right. Just turn it on when you want to use it.
My dog had such a good time. He was outside almost the whole time (but he doesn't wander off too far on his own) & he exhibited a new behavior that I've never seen at home. Every time he was given a bone or ball he would rush off to bury it so if you find them they're yours courtesy of Zeus.
The eggs were fantastic with different kinds & the host was happy to talk about chicken breeds & tips and tricks.
The first night we had the place almost to ourselves. The second night other campers came & we still felt it was a very private experience.
Due to the cold we waited until midday to shower & it was lovely.

Friendly host, great camp spot with a white-sand river and beautiful woods. The grounds were full of amenities like fire rings, hammocks, and chairs. There were even extras such as a trampoline and various yard games. The gated site made the whole place feel safe and secluded. We were only one of two groups there during our stay. By far, these were some of the best outhouses I’ve encountered—complete with working lights and a hand-washing sink between the two stalls. Definitely a place worth staying!

1 night at Camp Seminole Springs
We stayed for one night over New Year’s and had a nice, quiet experience. The views were beautiful, and the tent and surrounding area were really well done. The host was very kind and stopped by with plenty of firewood to help keep us warm, which we really appreciated.
The only downside was that the bathroom on our side of the tents wasn’t working, but luckily we were with friends and were able to share theirs. Also, the heaters in both tents didn’t work well enough to warm the space, and it got quite cold inside. I’d recommend bringing your own heater if you’re visiting during colder weather.
Overall, the tent and porch are well constructed, and it’s a great spot for a peaceful getaway. I would still recommend it for a short escape.

This place is an absolute hidden gem! Not only is there the gristmill you can stay in, the main spring and all the amenities… Behind the gristmill is a clear sandy spring trail that is stunning! The hosts were so kind :) They brought us fire wood, let us fill up and empty tanks. Fantastic place to stay and lots to do! Nikki www.britonthemove.com
