We are 10 minutes from the white sandy beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. Bring your boat if you like to fish. We are 3 minutes from the boat ramp which accommodates boats large and small to access off shore fishing at the Inlet or flats fishing at Mosquito Lagoon.
If you are a motorcycle enthusiast we are 30 minutes from Daytona Speedway and NSB Speedway. Kayak and surfing with your own or rentals are available.
All the popular attractions are one hour drive time from us. There are 5 Golf Courses in NSB as well as an array of fine dining, art shows and of course lots of sunshine.

Upon arrival, you will find a quaint and cozy corner to relax and enjoy a tropical getaway in beautiful New Smyrna Beach. 5 minutes from downtown NSB, 10 minutes from the white sandy beaches of the Atlantic Ocean where you can drive on parts of the beach and have access to a dog beach. There is plenty to do at the beach and surrounding waterways, including surfing, both fresh and saltwater fishing, hiking, kayaking, and biking. We are 25 minutes from Daytona International Speedway. Disney, Universal and Sea World are about an hour to an hour and a half away. Kennedy Space center is 45 minutes away so you're likely to see a launch during your visit. Plus, there are 5 golf courses within 15 minutes. Tons of delicious restaurants in the area.
The Ocala National Forrest is a 20-minute drive away at the closest entrance, with plenty of off-road driving and outdoor activities available. Merrit Island National Preserve is 30 minutes South, where you can see the Manatee, or take a hike, put in the kayaks. Sugar Mill restaurant that has boat tours is 30 minutes to the West...DeLand was voted best small town in 2022. There is a park within a 5-minute walk with skating, basketball, tennis, racquetball and a playground.
We're starting off with a low nightly rate until we get some reviews and bookings under our belt, then will increase with comps in the area. Minimum 2-night stay.
Check in is after 4 pm and check out is before Noon. Please keep in mind that our quiet hours are after 10pm. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit and towels! Homeowner on site.

If you're lucky enough to experience the wildlife that shows up regularly, you could have the pleasure of seeing wild animals like: turkeys, deer, pigs, armadillos, hawks, dragonflies, butterflies, turtles and many others.
We're proud of our oasis and thrilled to share it with folks that appreciate protected land as much as we do. The land is part of the resource corridor, which is protected wetlands and it is environmentally sensitive and ecologically significant. This means that it is an ecosystem that supports the wildlife and cannot be touched or manipulated in any way.
Lucy's place is our community space for you and your family's use. It has lots of seating, plenty of places to relax, a grill and outdoor sink for cooking, and a gas fireplace to enjoy the scenery at night. A hot tub awaits you, which is open to the stars and great after a day of lounging or fun out and about.

It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the river, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space age pushed forward into the future.However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families.As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch. Historically, Cozy Freedom was occupied by the Timucuan Indians who hunted the forest and swamp land. More recent history of the property included a plant nursery and beekeeping location.
Now, surrounded by horse farms and state forest, nature abounds. There's organic produce growing in fall, winter and spring. Ornamental nursery items are also being propagated. We have citrus trees and blueberry bushes, ginger and turmeric. Resident bats help with the mosquitos. Our friendly four-legged friends romp around and are all very loveable. The newest feature on the property is a 11-circuit walking labyrinth.

Take a day to hike or bike out in Tiger Bay State Forest without having to drive off the farm, or enjoy just hanging out on the farm.

Wintertime is peaceful and ideal for camping in Florida. We do have some nights that drop into the 30's, but most days are perfect to be outside. Summers are hot and wet and mosquitos will drive you inside from mid-June through to the end of August. Enjoy staying put on the farm or safely leaving your belongings while visiting the sights in the area. Someone is always nearby onsite, but privacy is respected. Property is situated on a thoroughfare between Ocala and Ormond Beach with audible traffic, so not ideal for individuals seeking absolute silence.
