There is one beach access less than a mile away and others nearby as well. You'll find much to do; fish on the piers at the waterfront park just a mile away where one could do some dolphin and manatee watching, picnic, or just watch boats sail by. Walk or bike the miles of sidewalks and the pink sand coquina beaches. Washington Oaks State Park is nearby. Close enough, yet far away from over- run tourist destinations, such as Daytona Beach (30 min), St. Augustine(30 min) and Orlando 1 1/2 hr. This home is ideal for large families who love the outdoors; however, it also is set up for those who need their own space. Each bedroom is accessed through a large screened in patio which is an idea place to watch the sunrise each morning. The bathrooms are set up jack-and-jill style between two bedrooms on the first floor and two bedrooms on the second floor. There is also a library area, set loft style, above the living room overlooking the amazing view and those below. The library has a small selection of books however there is table seating, a sleeping area, and wireless internet available for those who want to get away but need to still be connected. There is also a large capacity washer and dryer set up in the breezeway for all the clothes that will need to be washed for all your outdoor adventures. The home is within walking distance to an outdoor waterfront restaurant that hosts, on occasion, live music and serves your basic grill style food which includes gator. In addition, the home is adjacent to a full service marina which is great for boating enthusiasts. Being adjacent to the marina renters who bring their own boat, with insurance, have the option to use the Sanford Boat Works facilities which includes their boat ramp, covered docking amenities, fuel dock, and their low key clubhouse that has a well maintained pool and gaming area. The use of the Sanford Boats Works facilities is an additional cost that is paid directly to the Marina. Information can be provided on request. Although the use of the marina is a boon there are public boat ramps not far from the home and more than adequate parking for more than one trailer on the property; therefore, everyone can enjoy the river, Lake Monroe, and even Lake Jessup. In addition, there is room for a family to park their RV without obstructing the view from the home. The possibilities are endless for family fun vacation!

Where the camper is located there is a half mile trail through the forest, across from our driveway there is a 2.6 mile nature trail, a 15 mile biking trail, place to launch a kayak or boat, and we are close to wekiva and rock springs. not to mention a free 15 mile nature drive on the weekends just minutes away. plus we arent far from downtown Mount Dora. There is a primitive campground here too (North Shore Relic Ranch). looking for other stuff to see, look no further. lol in the center of the property there is alot of stuff to see. plane hulls, concert truck, cars, trucks, military truck, cows, goats, chickens, etc. its a unique stay for sure!

We have a Preserve just south of us, and are at the end of two streets. We have almost 50 trees on our property, most being southern pines. There is easy access to many local amenities and shopping. Choose our property for a local stay, it isn't a traditional "camping" experience even with the secluded nature of it.
