There aren't words enough to explain the amazing vibe of this place.....just book a site. We recommend the Tikka masala add on. Beautifully done 4 course meal, fine dinning meal in a laid back casual setting with one of a kind hosts! Kudos Christina and Kennedy can't wait to return for a 3 retreat!

We will definitely be coming back to explore. Oh my goodness. My partner and I have been disheartened with the state of the world and working multiple jobs and moving and my daughter and I have been having health issues. So we just really needed some rest and mental peace. Kennedy was such a sweet awesome human and the space was everything anticipated. Nothing like a naked nap by the water ✌️ 🤤

2 nights at Waterfront Island Bungalow

My husband and i have birthdays within a couple weeks of each other and decided to celebrate them at Cristina’s property. The WiFi password hints at getting off your devices and we took that advice to heart. Naps, reading, walks/exploration, bike rides, wild animals, farm animals (including the friendliest kitty), sunsets, and sunrises was the prescription and the Waterfront Island Bungalow delivered. On top of that, Cristina and Ed were gracious and welcoming hosts. If you are looking to relax and unplug, this should be your destination. We’ll be back.

This was an outstanding experience. The hosts are kind, intentional, and organized while the cat, goats, ducks & chickens fill out an ensemble cast. It isn’t exactly an “old Florida” vibe but both Publix & Whole Foods are over an hour (plus a boat ride) away. Amaze your followers with the words “secluded cabin on a private island” but be prepared to bring your own mimosas and canapés.

Weekend Trip to Runaway Bay Lodge

We recently stayed at this glamping spot, and it was such a wonderful experience! The place has a cute and cozy vibe that instantly puts you at ease, and the hot tub was the perfect way to relax and unwind. The stunning sunset views were a real highlight, adding to the overall peaceful and calming atmosphere. It’s the perfect getaway for anyone looking to recharge in a serene and beautiful setting.

2 nights at Waterfront Island Bungalow

What a unique and cozy stay! The hosts were incredibly friendly all around and had no shortage of fun activities to recommend to us. Since the venue is on an island, we took advantage of their water taxi service, canoed around the waters, lounged around the farm animals, ate some fresh eggs, and biked through the scenic forest. Also, they invited us to join them for new years celebration, how neat! The cabin is fully furnished so we just had to bring food and clothes. The days went by too fast; definitely want to visit again.

We had the most amazing stay at this site! From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel right at home, and the experience only got better from there. The breathtaking water views were the highlight of our trip—waking up to that serene scenery each day was such a treat. We spent our days paddleboarding on the lake, playing pool, and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed, making it so easy to cook and enjoy meals together. We spent NYE here and left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning our return. This place is an absolute gem, and we can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay! This place has such a unique charm, and Kennedy was very kind and accommodating. The tent was spacious, and it was so nice to fall asleep to the sounds of the water. We loved hanging out watching all the wildlife on the water, and the sunsets were so beautiful and right in front of the tent! It was such a relaxing and rejuvenating stay, we would definitely come back! The shared kitchen space was well stocked with cooking utensils which was very helpful. Thank you!

This island cabin was truly a magical experience. The cabin itself is gorgeously decorated, comfortable, and scenic. The animals on the property are charming and add such a layer of fun. The hosts are readily available but give space for your own adventure. I had a perfect trip there with my two children and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again! Perfect combination of remote and exciting but cozy and safe.

Weekend Trip to Runaway Bay Lodge

I mean it can’t get better than this. Right on the water of Lake George and one of the prettiest sunsets I’ve ever seen. Mid November is the perfect time to be in the waterside tent 🥰 We did not have access to the hot tub or dock due to the recent hurricanes but yet Kennedy found a way to make sure the vibes were still unmatched. Will most likely return!

Runaway Bay Lodge is the first private property past The Pine Island RV Campground, on the right side of the street. OUR PROPERTY IS NOT LOCATED IN THE CAMPGROUND. We have 4 separate units on our property, including 2 cabins and 3 yurts, Each cabin and yurt is set up with only one bed, in each. We are a perfect spot for solo journeyers and couples. Larger groups can rent multiple units. We also host 3rd party retreats for up to 12 total guests. We do allow cannabis smoking on our property, in the common areas outside of the tents and cabins. We offer our exclusive Magic M Meditations, Yoga, Plant Based Vegan, Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian Meal Options, Moxibustion, Kundalini, Tantra, Energy work and other holistic well-being services, Small Group Retreats, Boat Tours and Boat Rentals. Use of a private vehicle is required. The property is on a natural 46000 acre lake that is connected to The Atlantic Ocean by The St Johns River. This location offers abundant wildlife refuge. The house boast an amazing view of the Saint John's river, the Lake Monroe Conservation area, and an intriguing historical Indian mound. The house has an unbelievable 130 feet of water front that looks as natural as it was when the house was built in 1949. Every room is flooded with natural light which gives a nature enthusiasts every opportunity to observe the constant flow of Florida's wildlife from wild turkeys, large cranes, gorgeous painted buntings, red cardinals, and of course the Florida alligators! This home is ideal for large families who love the outdoors; however, it also is set up for those who need their own space. Each bedroom is accessed through a large screened in patio which is an idea place to watch the sunrise each morning. The bathrooms are set up jack-and-jill style between two bedrooms on the first floor and two bedrooms on the second floor. There is also a library area, set loft style, above the living room overlooking the amazing view and those below. The library has a small selection of books however there is table seating, a sleeping area, and wireless internet available for those who want to get away but need to still be connected. There is also a large capacity washer and dryer set up in the breezeway for all the clothes that will need to be washed for all your outdoor adventures. The home is within walking distance to an outdoor waterfront restaurant that hosts, on occasion, live music and serves your basic grill style food which includes gator. In addition, the home is adjacent to a full service marina which is great for boating enthusiasts. Being adjacent to the marina renters who bring their own boat, with insurance, have the option to use the Sanford Boat Works facilities which includes their boat ramp, covered docking amenities, fuel dock, and their low key clubhouse that has a well maintained pool and gaming area. The use of the Sanford Boats Works facilities is an additional cost that is paid directly to the Marina. Information can be provided on request. Although the use of the marina is a boon there are public boat ramps not far from the home and more than adequate parking for more than one trailer on the property; therefore, everyone can enjoy the river, Lake Monroe, and even Lake Jessup. In addition, there is room for a family to park their RV without obstructing the view from the home. The possibilities are endless for family fun vacation!
