Weekend Trip to Glamping In Paradise

Glamping in Paradise is a gem! The site is well appointed; we were surprised to find many amenities and thoughtful touches. Our stay endured chilly nights, warm days, and a quick downpour - no worries here with the fireplace, A/C and fan, and thick tent. The lights outside were so cozy at night and we enjoyed looking at all the plants. Host was communicative and quick to respond to app messages during our stay. A unique and enjoyable camping (glamping) experience!

This was the best campsite that I've ever been to. The campground is beautiful and secluded. The interior of the tent is super cozy, I slept better there than in my own bed at home! The owners put so much thought and consideration into amenities that make the stay so much nicer. The kitchenette is a super nice addition, with multiple cooking utensils for use with the charcoal grill. Not to mention the owners themselves were super kind and accommodating. I can't wait until I book another trip here in the future!

Andrew was a great host and even brought us a fan for the little red shelter! The bathroom was clean and well supplied with shampoo and conditioner choices and a body wash. The shower was really nice since it was able to be adjusted for your comfort . Wonderful woodsey walks with the dogs in this peaceful setting. Fenced in area in front of the shelter so the dogs can sit out with you and relax together.

Great host! Thoughtfully provided us with a fan, we have access to basically a private bathhouse with shower, sink and toilet since at the moment there are no other campers or RV guests.. We have a lockable door on our little red shed, electric is provided with a light in the room. Strings of lights make it special to be here in the woods at night. Our hosts allow us complete privacy which is nice.

Weekend Trip to Glamping In Paradise

This place is so beautiful, especially at night when all the lights came on. The photos look great, but it is 10x better in person. There were many little things that made the experience nicer, too. There are k-cup coffees, tea, and many things that helped make it memorable (like bbq tongs and mits and a refrigerator!). The air conditioning in combination with the powerful fan kept the tent comfortable in the afternoon and that, along with the plush bed covers, made sleeping awesome. The noise from the fan drowns out any nature noises, too. My one suggestion would be to have a light in the toilet building. The lantern was okay to carry along, but it would be nicer if it had a light. Will definitely camp here again. Maybe later in the Fall. Oh, a word to other campers.... bring OFF because there are some mosquitoes, just like everywhere in Florida.

There were two ponds near the campgrounds to fish in. He had several areas you could walk through. My daughter loved the pigs. It was about 2 miles from a swimming area on Blackwater River and 7 miles from Conecah Forest. The owner was extremely sweet, and his pups were amazing. We are definitely planning to go back again.

You can't beat this place for the price! The campground has a toilet, shower, electric hookups, water. All for a great price. There is not a lot of privacy between sites, but if you are the only one there (like I was) then you have the place to yourself. There is a fishing pond next to the campground as a bonus. Note: bug spray is a necessity.

This place is a hidden gem. Andrew has thought of everything to make this place comfortable. I stayed in Tent site C, the red barn, and used it mostly as my charging station and lounge area. I pitched my tent right next to it. The grounds are well lit, shower was hot and toilet clean. It was perfect for my stay with my dog. I recommend downloading the app Merlin Bird ID to name the morning choir of birds in the area. It was a peaceful stay. We will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Apple Hill Cabins and Camp Ground

Marie and Larry are kind, generous, and the real thing: Alabama homesteaders for generations. They decided to share their beautiful property with folks who are looking for peace and quiet, not frills and frippery. I walked the land every morning I was there after drinking my coffee serenaded by hundreds of bird. We enjoyed a bout of "severe weather" one evening, with thunderstorms and lightening and heavy rains pounding my little trailer. Larry and I had the chance to chat numerous times and I learned fascinating things about him and the history of the area. He and Marie even invited me in for a shrimp boil and catfish dinner. Now that's great hospitality. I stayed in site one, electric no sewer. But I think it's the best spot anyway since you can see the ponds and woods. I highly recommend Apple Hill and if I lived closer, I'd be back in a heartbeat.

The open area was perfect because I was able to position myself plenty far enough to stay safe from potential falling tree branches. Also there are green lanes and fields and if your lucky you can catch site or deer, turkeys, all sorts of birds maybe even a cute baby armadillo. In just over 45 minutes you can be playing on the beach in Panama City Beach, (world’s most beautiful beaches). Something a little different is just a few minutes away Falling Waters state park (Florida's tallest waterfall) and a swimming hole with walking trails. Speaking of swimming Ponce De Leon spring is big and beautiful clear blue hole spring to the west. Or go east to Marriana, about the same distance and you can visit Florida Caverns (Florida's only touring cave) with a beautiful spring with swimming, and hiking there too. We have guest also go to the Econfina Springs and canoe rental and spend a day floating the beautiful Ecofina River with 8 springs to visit on a days float. There are many State parks so close. If you want to go out to eat or socialize a local brewery and restaurants are very close and beautiful Alabama too! We are super easy to visit if you are coming from the north out of Dothan are on Interstate 10 we are just Located 1.4 miles North of Interstate right on Hwy 231. Easy access to the interstate, fuel and shopping. The farm is gated with a remote controlled gate for security. All our RV sites have full hook ups with 15, 30, and 50 amp connections, great clean water and sewer at each site. Also a dump station on the property. We are currently working on a bath house with laundry facilities will be ready by the fall of 23. a total of 4 sites on 100 acres (with a couple of more in the works with some tent site on the horizon too) you are sure to be able to find a quiet place.
