Andrew was a great host and even brought us a fan for the little red shelter! The bathroom was clean and well supplied with shampoo and conditioner choices and a body wash. The shower was really nice since it was able to be adjusted for your comfort . Wonderful woodsey walks with the dogs in this peaceful setting. Fenced in area in front of the shelter so the dogs can sit out with you and relax together.

Great host! Thoughtfully provided us with a fan, we have access to basically a private bathhouse with shower, sink and toilet since at the moment there are no other campers or RV guests.. We have a lockable door on our little red shed, electric is provided with a light in the room. Strings of lights make it special to be here in the woods at night. Our hosts allow us complete privacy which is nice.

Be aware that this campground is in a different town than the address listed prior to reservation. It’s in Baker, a town just outside Crestview, but it is further from Fort Walton if the beach is your main attraction. Also, while the website says it’s tent friendly, there is no plug in ON the tent site unless you use adapters (one 30amp plug in). When confronting the owner about this the next day, I was told that I should have wandered onto the neighboring camper’s reserved space and used THEIR electricity outlet. I assume the camper belongs to the host, but obviously it’s generally considered inappropriate to wander around another person’s camp spot without invitation… especially if you arrive at 2am like we did. We had to leave (at 2:30 after an 8 hour drive) simply because we couldn’t even set up camp. Lastly, I’d like to mention that this campground is extremely secluded, not well marked and if you arrive after dark, it’s in the back woods on a dirt road with no lights so you can barely find it. No signs, not even as much as a mail box. Overall, I think the idea is okay and I hate giving a fellow small business owner a bad review, but this place just did not seem professional at all.

Remote area but was perfect for staying the night grabbing a shower and moving on! Hot water in the shower/ bathroom combo with great water pressure. Pad to put up a tent if you want, or you could sleep in the barn it has electricity to charge all your items and wifi. Andrew responded to my texts quickly.

This place is a hidden gem. Andrew has thought of everything to make this place comfortable. I stayed in Tent site C, the red barn, and used it mostly as my charging station and lounge area. I pitched my tent right next to it. The grounds are well lit, shower was hot and toilet clean. It was perfect for my stay with my dog. I recommend downloading the app Merlin Bird ID to name the morning choir of birds in the area. It was a peaceful stay. We will definitely be back.

This place was amazing very very fun. Everyone was so sweet. My daughter and I came for the first time without my husband and we were able to ask any questions that we needed. The shower was easy to work. The water was warm!!!. The heater really helped in the night when it got down to 48.!!!the atmosphere was amazing and we will definitely be back.

We had such a great time! Andrew was more than accommodating and easy to communicate with, and happily changed our reservation when we needed it with only a week notice. The RV at site 1 is super charming and inviting. It is clean, and stocked with every day items you may need. There is a black stone for use, a fire pit with seating, and a picnic table. At night the string lights all come awake providing an enchanting ambience.
We regret that we didn’t get to use the bathhouse that’s on site, as it is something special! 10/10

We had a fantastic quiet time!! Lots of shade and plenty of fire wood! Bath house was the perfect touch! We slept in our hammocks and it was wonderful.. Thank you!

Very professional and friendly welcome with an informative introduction to the area. Extremely clean and enjoyable location with a fire pit and plenty of firewood. An abundance of shade made our stay much more enjoyable given the temperature. A short ride to the beach closed out our trip. Highly recommend.

Andy and Amy hosted us through hipcamp in Blackwater forest, FL, about an hour from Destin and Pensacola. It was wonderful with LOTS of SHADE, a couple reclined porch chairs around the fire pit, nice open camping area, and the shower house was an added enjoyment to the stay. They were quick to respond to any questions, and gracious host I would recommend to anyone.

Would recommend staying here to anyone and everyone. We had some power issues but don't think ot was on their end, but tje owner was went above and beyond in his help. When I come back to the area, we WILL be reserve another stay.

Wonderful spot, several areas for a campfire, private and quiet. The real gem was the newly made bath house. Andy did such a great job building and stocking it with fresh towels and toiletries. Was very close to our spot, which also had enough electricity for us too. Will stay again!

We loved our stay at The Red Barn!
Bonus: an insulated shed with electric and a space heater meant we didn't even have to pitch the tent!
We slept cozy in the peaceful quiet of the forest.
The bathhouse was really nice and clean and they even provided clean towels.
You will be happy you stayed!

What a precious place to stay! The hosts are very gracious: helping with ideas, information and directions. The property is beautiful and close to hiking and kayaking, close enough for a day trip to shopping, great restaurants and the beach. Full hook-ups; an exceptional stay! My dogs have loved it and so have I.
