2 nights at Pine Cone Acres

We had a great time camping at Pine Cone Acres. We enjoyed walking in the woods with our dogs, and the fresh eggs offered for sale were fantastic. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area from biking, kayaking, shopping, and dining. This is definitely a spot we will visit again. Thank you Doug and Leslie for hosting such a wonderful site.

The site is in a nice, quiet RV park with wonderful amenities. Our dog enjoyed visiting both dog parks and walking the wilderness trails. The close proximity to Silver Springs state park make this a great landing spot after a day in the glass bottom boats or exploring downtown Ocala. The shed on the site with a toilet, laundry and a refrigerator helped limit shopping trips without needing to worry about what our little RV Fridge could handle. It was a fantastic experience and I’d recommend this site.

Really great hosts, peaceful & safe property, and the turkeys, dogs, and chickens were the best! The tiki hut was perfect and we enjoyed walking your trails and seeing all of your beautiful landscaping. We enjoyed visiting Homosassa State Park and having a campfire in the evening. We bought free range eggs here that were beautiful! We would absolutely stay here again!

Great pull through spot, with a shed that had a refrigerator, washer & dryer, toilet and deep sink! Everyone at the RV park was friendly and it had lots of activities like bingo, food trucks, karaoke and more! Some hiking trails right off the RV park for kayaking, fishing and hiking! My family loved it!

2 nights at J & T Hideaway / Silver Springs, FL

Very nice site on the corner with a little deck. Nice trail in the to walk on in the woods. Nice campground we didn’t get to see it all. Wished we would have stayed longer. Close to Silver springs. We did check the little candy store out in front before we left.. make sure you don’t miss stopping there. Everyone there was friendly. Would like to come back and stay longer next time!

Doug & his wife were wonderful hosts! Their property is beautiful and quiet. Loved meeting all the puppies, chickens and turkeys. The fresh eggs are delicious! The covered picnic area makes it cozy. Plenty of space as we were double towing. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved this place. Doug and wife were fantastic. We loved sitting and watching the turkey's, chickens and dogs. Make sure you bring bread; the turkeys love to come up and visit for bread. Look forward to going back someday.

GREAT place to set up camp! We have a 34’ fifth-wheel, and a long box extended cab dually, we had plenty of room to get in to the spot, and more than plenty to be outside and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of this HipCamp! The owners are amazing, the dogs are sweet, and the turkeys and chickens were fun to feed and take pictures of! HIGHLY recommended, and we plan to go back!

Cute spot, super nice host. Was there for less than 12 hours cause we were traveling through but would have been nice to stay longer. Just know it is clothing optional.

We couldn’t have asked for a nicer camp site. Steve thought of everything when adding the shed. The restroom, washer, dryer, utility sink and full size refrigerator were the best amenities. We enjoyed the peaceful setting and the nicest neighbors. There are always fun activities planned. (bingo, karaoke, food truck events). Nice to walk the campground but there are also trails to walk along the river. Beautiful pool and hot tub and the restaurant on site was delicious. Stop at the candy store for a delicious Whoopi pie and some good ole fashion candy. We recommend Terrys Restaurant in Silver Springs and the Braized Onion in Ocala. We definitely recommend kayaking at Silver Springs and the Rainbow River in Dunnellon. We had the best time and Steve and Jane were so helpful and accommodating. The best hosts. Thank you so much for making your place available. Truly one of our best trips!

Great location! Great people! The turkeys are a riot. Full hookups were very close to the pad which was very much appreciated. Can't wait to enjoy the fresh eggs we bought from their chickens. Will definitely be staying here again.

5 nights at J & T Hideaway / Silver Springs, FL

Tina’s property is located in 55+mobile CB home park. The park is in a beautiful setting including many ponds, a river and all the amenities you would expect ( swimming pool/hot tub, laundry room, rest rooms with showers). Tina’s space is on a large corner lot with a level cement pad and ample room for parking your vehicle. A wood deck provides a great place to sit and relax. Fire pits are allowed but you must provide your own. The best part about this property is its proximity (4 miles) to Silver Springs State park where we spent all three days of our stay here.

Doug and Leslie were so above and beyond what would be expected! Very friendly, and kind!! Gorgeous land and home. Awesomely landscaped! We enjoyed the turkeys, roosters, and chickens! We were able to buy free range eggs! Celebrated our 30th Anniversary in the great Tiki hut. We were allowed to decorate. Wonderfully sweet dogs. Our dogs LOVED being off leash playing with the owners, and the other dogs! We really enjoyed the beautiful screened in hot tub and pool! We had car trouble on our second day. For extra fun, we visited the ER twice, with acute back problem. We were given multiple rides, to WalMart, and the ER. We would 100% return if anywhere near their location. The hot tub, and golf cart ride from RV to their hot tub were life savers for sure with back/hip/leg pain, and inability to take more than a few steps! Extremely hospitable, with gorgeous property, with utilities! These hosts are a 12 out of 10 possible points!!

We really enjoyed our stay and the resort. The site was nicely decorated, spacious, well-kept, comfortable, and easy to back our RV in to. We also liked the proximity to local activities and attractions. There's also a little country store there that sells homemade Whoopie Pies. We will definitely recommend this site to anyone looking for nice place to glamp in Ocala, Fl.

Had an awesome stay at Doug and Leslie’s Pinecone Acres! Great friendly people. Nice secluded and wooded area with easy pull thru access for parking our camper. Great location that’s only a few mins from shopping and grocery stores. Short easy drive to get to nearby springs and swim/see the manatees! Would definitely recommend if looking for a spot in this area.

We booked this site in May after several conversations with Steve who explained everything we had inquired about. We stayed for 3 weeks in January and absolutely loved everything about the site and the RV resort. Steve’s site and the RV resort is absolutely first class. We enjoyed the hikes in the area and the nightly walks around the resort. The community is super friendly. Having the shed with the washer/dryer, toilet and fridge made the stay all that much more enjoyable. The traffic in the area is minimal and everything you may need is 15 minutes away. We would stay here again without hesitation!

Doug and Leslie were fantastic host. Our dog loved being able to run free on their 5 acres of land with fence. Camp site was great. Enjoyed watching the turkeys & chickens roaming around.
