Down a hidden gravel drive with wetlands on either side you will find a completely fenced in field surrounded by pine, oak, and swamp maple trees. There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch. Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees. Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. Spending a day at the beach is easy with plenty of options along the Nature Coast. We’re also less than an hour from Tampa and Clearwater and two hours from Orlando. A perfect weekend get-away for anyone looking to “unplug,” Smokey Acres is also a great stop for those passing through the area. We are a close distance to many racing, livestock, boating and fishing events. We have no problem accommodating whatever you’re towing! We stayed at Lucky U Ranch Campground from Friday through Monday, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, Bob and Mike made us feel right at home. They are incredibly kind, welcoming, and clearly care about their guests having a great time. One of the highlights of our stay was the farm tour, it was excellent! Getting up close and spending time with the animals was such a special experience. There’s something truly refreshing about being able to slow down, interact with the animals, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. For my wife and me, this trip was the perfect opportunity to step away from the stress of the tax code, computers, and everyday responsibilities, and reconnect with nature. The ranch offers a calm, relaxing environment that helps you reset and recharge. We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay and are already looking forward to coming back again. By far the best vibes I have experienced at a hip campsite. Teresa and Lisa do an amazing job to make the campers feel welcome. The outside kitchen, showers, and bathroom are all great amenities that you can tell they truly thought about their campers. Also as a mom, it was a great experience for our son. He misses them already! We will definitely be back on our travels.

Loved camping at Lucky U Ranch! My tent site was so beautifu with old oaks and Cypress trees providing shade and an open area to view the stars. Very peaceful and quiet with dim lighting for viewing the sky. Sites are spaced well for privacy also. Hot showers and tasty complementary coffee and hot chocolate or cold water. Wildlife abounds and the farm animals are friendly. Hiking trails too! Rob and Mike are wonderful hosts. Plenty of extras available too.

It is a beautiful quiet place, everyone really nice, the stage for live band music a+, bathrooms clean, the deck by the river very nice area the cons there’s NO free wi-fi and the one you pay it is not good for streaming, the shortest driving route from Orlando through St Cloud it is not accessible due to a private road

Loved camping at Smokey Acres! The entry road was pretty bumpy, but once in it was fine. We had a full hookup site, so we didn’t need any amenities. It was spacious, quiet and convenient for visiting friends in Brooksville. Would stay again.

Very tidy camp with friendly staff. Pool was nice - “heated” but not quite warm enough to get into in early February. Nice access to canal between tow lakes. Pretty place!

The land was naturally beautiful. Lots of wildlife. Very open and not crowded. Peaceful, I spent a lot of time sitting in the sunshine. All campers and owner were friendly and accommodating. Wonderful place, centrally located.

Bolton and Jamie have a meticulously maintained property landscaped with a tropical flair. Unfortunately, we visited during an unusual freeze which affected many of their plants and trees. Observing their dedication to the property and strong work ethic, it will not be long before the grounds are returned to their tropical beauty. The property is well designed with a pool, hot tub, very nice full hook up RV sites and patio gathering sites throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to future stays with JB Resort.
