Really nice campground. I didn’t explore much as I just needed a quiet place to tent camp overnight after a sport event, but it was perfect for me. Site was large, with two spigots, a big picnic table and grill. Bathroom was very clean and great water pressure in the shower! Would definitely stay here again.

The campsites however primitive has some real nice extras, like cafe lights in the trees, near by bath house. A huge plus was bringing an extension cord to access electricity at a nearby cabin outlet. Also a great variety of livestock to watch for entertainment.

We really enjoyed this campground. Took advantage of the fresh eggs! We have a 12 foot travel trailer and it was easy to navigate through the property. We will be back.

Very nice campsite with full hookups. The campsite is very much out in the country, secluded/private, down a dirt road etc. Our dogs could run free and play until exhausted. We need a place to stay during some home renovations, and this campsite fit the bill beyond expectations. It’s very close to all the modern suburban amenities we’re all used too, but neatly tucked away in the country for a truly great camping experience. Loved it and would do it again.

This place is absolutely fantastic. The campsites are so well maintained, the scenery is incredible & Paul is the best (make sure you get to hear one of his jokes after you check in). There are beautiful longhorns roaming around the campsites and goats in a pen you can go feed. Oh and the bathrooms? Impeccable. So clean and very nice. Truly cannot recommend this place enough. We will be back!!!

My girls loves exploring the river and the playground. We were thankful the host was so accommodating to our needs as well. Truly a wonderful place to disconnect with the city and get down into the wilderness. We will be back. Thank you again.

We loved camping here. It was a great place to just sit back and relax with plenty of opportunity for activities as well! The staff was helpful with any questions and we were in easy reach of a grocery store. We will definitely be visiting again!

If you love peace and quiet, Cedarkirk campground is the place. Set back in the forest are 6 sites.
Bathrooms and showers are kept very clean.
You can take hikes throughout the property and down to the river.
As professional photographers the area has a lot to offer.
If you mountain bike, Alafia and Balm Boyette are close by.

TRUST ME! If you have kids this is the prefect place to hang out and have all the fun. If you don't have kids and just want to be around beautiful wild Florida in a wonderful setting, this place is also for you. The hosts are awesome and everything is kept in great condition. This was our 3rd visit in as many months.

Had a amazing time at camp champ. Was surprised how much the owners had put into the grounds to truelly make it a amazing place to visit. Will definitely be going back again in the future. The land was amazing and it was great to see kids actually being kids rather than with their eyes glued to screens. Definitely recommend a visit at least once if you want to stay out in the peace and quiet and explore the creek.

I stayed at the Shoreline Tent Camping area at Wilderness Shores Ranch in Lakeland, FL for the weekend. The property itself is beautiful—right on the lake with stunning views and surrounded by nature. One of the best parts was the chance to interact with the friendly animals on the ranch, including long-horned cows, goats, and horses. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay.
However, there were a few downsides worth noting. Trains pass by very frequently at night—about once an hour—and they’re loud enough to wake you up. On top of that, there’s an active gun range nearby that was really noisy during the day, especially on the weekend. The campsites are quite close together, so there’s not much privacy. It also looked like the sites weren’t cleaned between campers—there was leftover firewood in the pit and some general debris around.
Overall, it’s a great place if you’re looking for a rustic, nature-connected experience and don’t mind the noise. Just go in knowing what to expect.

I had an absolutely amazing time at Camp Champ! From the moment I arrived, the hosts made me feel welcome with their kindness and top-notch hospitality. They were extremely helpful throughout my stay even though it was short, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.
The property itself is beautiful—peaceful, well-maintained, and surrounded by nature. There’s a lot to do, whether you’re looking to relax or get active.
I would definitely come back and highly recommend Camp Champ.
