Chris has been master carpenter and cabinet maker since the 1980’s. The two spend time keeping the grounds and gardens up and going out to dance. They love live music. The property is also the home to 3 cats and two dogs.

We have found that the beauty of camping is enjoying what matters most, being in nature, meeting new people, and enjoying the natural beauty of the places we visit. There is plenty of beauty in our town, and all around the area, including mountains and lakes, and theater, great restaurants, and shopping, too! Or you can just chill and cook out at your camper and enjoy swimming at the nearby lake. We hope you will check us out if you like the sound of that kind of camping experience. No bells and whistles and no city noise. Just a quiet place to enjoy nature while exploring the Beautiful Berkshires. We have a spot for your RV or tent for the summer season in the Berkshires, in MA. We are close to a town beach on a beautiful swimming and fishing lake, and many hiking trails near the Appalachian Trail, as well as all of the cultural destinations in the Berkshires. Level spaces for RVs under 30' and limited tent sites. Access to fresh water and electricity, with picnic area. We welcome indoor cats, and small, quiet dogs on leashes, but cannot host larger dogs. By the The Hounds Farm was formerly the riding facility for a well know women's college (Bennett College) back in he 70's. It was then used as a thoroughbred stud farm and now by us as a working equestrian facility.Learn more about this land:2000 square-foot two bedroom one bath clean contemporary loft space on working Hunter Jumper equestrian facility. We are located in bucolic Dutchess County which is 90 miles due north of New York City. There are numerous activities for the outdoor enthusiast. Biking, hiking, fishing, skeet, trap, pheasant and duck, hunting are all available in the area. The farm itself is located on one of the most scenic dirt roads in the area. We are very close to a number of prep schools like the Millbrook school, the Hotchkiss school, and the Kent school. Closest major airport is Albany, NY. JFK, La Guardia and Newark airports are 2 hrs. from the farm. We would also be open to guests setting up tents for special occasions but as we are a working horse farm availability may be limited.

Bring supplies as if you are camping ie bedding, hammock, tent, sleeping pad or inflatable mattress. There is a long wooden table up in the barn loft that seats 14. There are games up there too, (dominos, cards, trivial pursuit etc). You may also camp outside under the starry skies. No loud music. Noise off by 10.30pm please We provide a VERY clean porta potty and the barn has electricity and running (cold) water. Bring a solar portable shower should you need.

All garbage generated must be recycled, no plants must be uprooted and no native animals mistreated. For hunting you must pay the fee and inquire about the rules and season.
