PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU FULLY DROWN YOUR CAMPFIRE BEFORE YOU LEAVE. Dead wood on the property is OK to burn but please do not burn your trash. All trash and waste needs to be packed out. There are trash cans and restrooms at the rest stop at I-25 and Highway 165. Firewood is available to purchase nearby in Colorado City at Ace Hardware and others. You will have your choice of Camp site #1 and/or #2. They have flat mulched areas for an RV/Camper or for tent camping. Each has a fire ring and picnic table. Both sites allow room to turn around an RV or camper. Bring your own toilet for now. There is minimal shade available, so plan accordingly. Potable water is available at the blue ground hydrant in front of the little cabin to the west. It takes about 10 seconds to start running. Use of firearms is prohibited. No fireworks are allowed. I took my grandson’s on their first camping trip this weekend. It’s an easy drive about 40 minutes from I25. Beautiful location with views of the mountains. We had fun exploring the rocky canyon a 1/4 mile from our site. Very quiet and beautiful location, highly recommended!

this was an awesome spot! i don’t think there were any other campers when we went so it felt like we truly had the whole place to ourselves! the mountain view was absolutely incredible, and the open night sky was spectacular to see! our dogs absolutely loved it, didn’t want to leave! temperature was great, didn’t need electric hookups. was a little windy, but nothing some bungee cables couldn’t fix! the host was also very kind and detailed with instructions, and allowed an early check in. overall this was spot was awesome and i would highly recommend!

Camp Catori was exactly what we didn’t know we were looking for—the perfect retreat from Denver. The view of Blanca Peak is absolutely breathtaking, and we could have happily spent the whole day just relaxing, reading, and napping on the outdoor sectional while soaking it in. The tiny home is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a cozy, comfortable off-grid stay. We will definitely be back ❤️

Weekend Trip to The Hillfort

The campsite was perfect for us—having electricity was such a bonus! We had a nice, level spot for our Class B RV, plus plenty of space for our kids’ tent and their car. (Finally a campsite with true privacy). The views were fabulous, and at night we were treated to a stunning sky—we even saw the Milky Way! One of the highlights was getting a visit from some friendly cows from a neighboring property—we loved it! It was also such a treat having Alex share stories with us—he’s delightful. And to have him come up in the morning with hot-out-of-the-oven lemon muffins his lovely wife had just made… just incredible! Wow!!!! -The muffins were absolutely amazing!! Their land and hospitality were truly awesome. They made our stay so special. We highly recommend this Hipcamp and are already looking forward to coming back!

There were several camping spots to choose from, we went for the one by the campfire circle and stones as the view was stunning. Directions were spot on.
