A great base camp access to the Sand Dunes,Mt Lindsey, and Blanca Basin. A great day trip is hiking from Mosca Pass to the Visitor center at Great Sand Dunes ,explore the creek and dunes down there and then trek back up to your car at Mosca Pass.About a 8.5 mile round trip. Decent cell phone reception here at camp.We have wifi available . Easy and nice bikerides right from camp. ,Camps have fire circles and grill for firepit. .Plenty of mowed grassy areas for the kids. Well behaved pets on or.off a leash are welcome . Be mindfull that your pet does not chase or harrass potential livestock.on neighbor's property . Grassy tent site,near power and water. Pit toilet. The orchard site was perfect and secluded. I was car camping with my dog, and we had a cozy evening by the fire, under a sky lit up with stars. Having the toilet nearby was convenient, especially with how cold it was the night we were there. We walked over to watch the horses in the morning and enjoy the views. I would stay there again!

After you check in, one of their concierges will drop by and make sure all is well. The chickens pecking around your campsite aren’t much help, but either guardian dog Sascha or burro Bailey will drop by to be sure you are doing OK! Bailey does the best she can helping you set up camp, just be sure to give her an ear scratch. And those some BIG ears!

This was a perfect stopover on our way to Great Sand Dunes National Park! The camp was very well maintained and the directions were easy to follow. We were treated to an unbelievable sunset, a gorgeous starry night, and stellar views to wake up to. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Perfect desert style camping! Bring your own shade! ☀️ Thank you for providing water with large tank for the unbeatable camping bathroom experience! A flush toilet and a HOT shower under the incredible starry skies are unmatched! The lake is a 3 min drive or a small hike away. You cannot swim in this lake but there's plenty of beach and you can still fish and be on-water! The small town aboit 12 mins away is perfect for any last minute or forgotten quick grabs. A perfect get away without getting too far away!

Loved this campground! Very quiet and the ground to pitch my tent on was supple. It's situated well away from lights so the stargazing was great here. David was also a pleasant surprise during our stay. There's also a field with cows next to the grounds as well. They will come to you if you approach the fence.
