The yard is manicured and the 25 house, goats and chickens are fun to see. The big plus is we are only 20 minutes away from the Grand Mesa outdoorsman mecca. This is probably the cheapest base camp to the Mesa. The ranch is a great base camp to wineries, Moab, Telluride, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, fishing, boating, hiking, trails and hundreds of open BLM land for Razor riding. Check us out.

Come Play in the dirt! Learn more about this teepee : This rustic earth teepee sits in the beautiful upper mountain desert of Fruita/Loma Colorado.  There is plenty of space with abundant views and beautiful  sunsets. You can leave your teepee on your mountain bike and bike directly to the premier 18 road mountain biking trails. If ATV'ing or hiking is your thing, bring your quads, side-by-sides and hiking boots. There is a large fire pit and a grill, in your space, for your enjoyment.  Teepee flooring is done in rock with a chimenea in the center of the teepee,  There is a raised bed with a full mattress, linens and pillows are provided.  There is a table with 2 chairs and built in seating. There is an additional wash teepee beside this teepee that has a shower (cold water only) and a sink. You will not be sharing the wash teepee with another party, There is also an outhouse that may be shared with other parties. This site can accommodate up to  10 more people by bringing 2-3 additional campers and/or 2 additional tents.  There is a $15.00 charge for each additional person over 2.  Come solo or bring your friends for this one-of-a-kind experience. Weekend Trip to Zenzen Gardens

We had an absolute blast with Cindie! the yurts were so nice, Cindie was so attentive and always had great reccs for what to do/eat in town. The wine tasting was stellar. Zen Zen gardens is a paonia gem and we hope this becomes a landmark for the community. By far the most fun we’ve had in a while

We enjoyed ZenZen Gardens so much that we stayed two extra nights! Lovely garden and spectacular scenery. We enjoyed sipping wine from the terrace in the afternoons. Comfy and very clean. We definitely hope to return!

If you need recharging, a reset, peace, quiet, Magik, grounding and to be in nature, feel the basics of living minimally with mother Earth, the trees, the mountains, this is a must. Second time here in the same year The Hawk TiPi comfortably fits 4 adults and 4 dogs. Pure Bliss. Cannot believe I have to wait until next year to come back. 🙏🪶🙏

What a great place to stay! Clean, pretty orchards, and with the basic amenities. Dirk even added a small microwave so I could heat my tea and breakfast in the morning. Comfy bed and the outdoor shower is cool. I didn't use it because it was such a short stay, but how fun!

Weekend Trip to Perfectly Palisade

Beautiful quiet location, but close to everything. They are on the Palisade Scenic Wine Byway so you can ride or walk out your door to several vineyards or into town. Scott is a super host and very informative and provides lots of things, chairs, picnic table, fire pit and wood and most importantly a very comfortable bed. Perfect location for sunsets also.

This is one of our favorite places to glamp. It’s nice to not have to pack dishes, cookware, etc. There’s a great setup to cook. Sway in the hammocks after breakfast. The beds inside the teepees are so comfy. The host is incredibly kind.

The glamping experience at ZenZen gardens is nothing short of magical. The views are gorgeous, flowers adorn the property, and the tent is comfortable & cute. Our dog absolutely loved being able to hang out on the property with other pups. We did the wine tasting and enjoyed the veranda which were additional pluses! Paonia is also a gem with a surprisingly amazing food scene and lots of things to see and do. We visited many local wineries (all charming) and made a day trip to Crested Butte. Perfect weekend!

Loved the cabin and the location was perfect! The bed was comfortable, with a good size fridge and lots out outlets too, so it had everything we needed. We were also able to bike to nearby wineries and walk through Dirk's orchards as well! The outdoor shower was amazing and such a nice treat during hot summer days. The fire pit was great too - I highly recommend staying here! Dirk was a fantastic and friendly host - than you so much!

One night wasn't enough.. What a sanctuary. Clean, green, so so peaceful, relaxing. I booked a second night in the deer 🦌 Tipi. Loved the solar bag showers, loved loved the views, and the private mini hike. Love that we could take our dogs because lots of places do not. Our dogs were in heaven. Highly highly recommend this sanctuary.

We were lucky to have the entire place to ourselves. I have a feeling the popularity will boom with this property. The views are great, peaches are amazing, it’s centrally located and the hosts are top notch. The AC and ceiling fan were so welcome after 90* days as well. We brought our camper van and upgraded to this spot for the AC but I’m sure on cooler days, spot #1 would be all we need. Oh, and the peaches…..

I was already looking forward to not having to set up a tent … but power? A fridge? AC 🤩😱🤩 After a 5 Hour Dr. in 100° and a full car - having a place to cool off was an awesome surprise. A nice 150 sq ft space with a comfy bed and bedding. What an easy stop. There also is plenty of fire wood and a fire pit with nice seating space and overall just a quiet and serene area to enjoy by ourselves. It was a great stay that I’d recommend anytime and looks like he has plans for a shower in the near future. There’s running water for dishes ( still just a porta potty.) But what really really set things apart? We happened to come in the summer months and on a heavy peach harvesting weekend. Dirk was so generous and guided us up to one of the Orchards he oversees to allow us to pick the BEST PEACHES IN THE COUNTRY! Truly … if you aren’t from the area and you’re unfamiliar with Palisade, peaches they are renowned for a reason 😉 100% value, amenities and generous hosts!!!

Dirk & Connie are AMAZING hosts! I had a perfect mini staycation. The location is just right outside of town (5 min drive); You can walk or bike to several wineries. I was welcomed with 4x 🍑 sitting on the refrigerator ❤️. ...little did I know many more peaches were to come. I need to give a shout out to Talbott Farms for the best peaches I have ever had! 🕊

1 night at Zenzen Gardens

When we walked through the gate, I knew this was going to be an epic experience! The grounds are exceptionally beautiful with flower gardens, butterflies and beautiful views as the sun was setting. We sat on the patio under the cool mist that offset the heat of the day. We drank wine and laughed along side Cindie while her beautiful dog Ginger chased butterflies…and literally smiled the whole time! It was like ‘living poetry’. What a perfect way to end a day of traveling through the mountains:)
