Gold Nugget Tree House

1 site ¡ Lodging1 acre ¡ Gold Hill, Boulder
Come visit our sweet little treehouse in the woods. Our property is just steps away from the bustling historic town of Gold Hill, a destination for tourists and road bikers alike. The treehouse is a glamping experience with just enough amenities to keep you comfortable. Food - Bring your cooler with food supplies or take out in Boulder before you head up the mountain. Or grab a coffee, pizza, snack or a glass of wine at the Gold Hill store. If you'd like a full service dining experience, make a reservation for a 5 course meal at the Gold Hill Inn. What To Do: Walk around the historic town of Gold Hill. We promise you will be entertained. Ask a local about the museum, the cemetery, or the historic two room school house, or any other favorite spots they have around the area. Love the woods and nature, but would like a little action? Attend a local live music concert at the Gold Hill Store or the Gold Hill Inn on a beautiful summers night. Drive to Estes Park or Rocky Mountain National Park to explore for the day. Boulder - 20 minutes Nederland - 35 minutes Estes Park - 45 minutes The Treehouse is furnished with Queen size bed and plenty of blankets to keep you warm, but feel free to bring your sleeping bag if you prefer. A roll out twin size feather bed for the floor is available upon request if you have a few more folks joining. We provide a portable toilet with WagBags. Please always pack out all human solid human waste. Gold Hill Store offers a toilet for a minimal fee and the Gold Hill Inn has a toilet for customers. A camp stove is available for outdoor use. The camp stove and the propane heater both use 1 lb propane canisters, so feel free to bring your own fuel to cook and keep you warm. A can of propane is always available for your use of the stove. * A note to novice campers and regular hotel patrons: Though you are in a shelter, you are still exposed to the elements. The treehouse is not insulated. Wind, bugs, and critters may all be a part of the variable treehouse experience mother nature has planned for you. If you are not comfortable camping, getting dirty, swatting flies, being too hot, being too cold, hearing the noises of animals at night, waking up to the sound of magpies, and who knows what else, this experience may not be for you.

Tiny Woodsy Cabin

2 sites ¡ Lodging5 acres ¡ Drake, Larimer
I purchased this land a few years ago with the dream of building a cabin in the woods with my kids for all of us to enjoy nature together.  With the help of my kids and friends, we built this tiny cabin (119sq ft) with a lot of love, laughter, tears and even some blood shed.  It embodies a journey for my family in coming together to enjoy nature and overcome many unknowns.  It is a representation of our growth, our love and our creativity and I am eager to share it with other nature lovers!  It is a work in progress, still, and we hope to add more fun features as time goes on.  Thank you!  Please enjoy it as we do!

Heart Stone Farm

3 sites ¡ RVs, Tents15 acres ¡ Lyons, Larimer
Heart Stone Farm is a working, small family farm. We have 15 acres on the Little Thompson river just outside of Lyons Colorado. We are close to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Boulder and Longmont are just a quick 20 minute drive. We currently offer two sites for tent, car, or RV camping or a furnished fifth wheel with drinking water access, electricity access, a toilet, a nice trail to the river, fresh eggs and veggies for purchase for a nice breakfast or dinner, and our neighborhood sees a lot of cyclists exploring the area. You will definitely hear all of the farm sounds…turkeys, chickens, roosters, goats, donkeys, geese, ducks, and pigs. We do have three super friendly dogs who may visit you but we try to keep them close to home. But, it’s a working farm and they are working dogs who navigate all 15 acres of our property. That being said, if you bring your own furry loved one, we ask that they are good with other dogs and animals. If they are not, please leave them at home. We also cannot guarantee that our other farm animals will always stay in their enclosures and might find their way to your camp. Think of it as camping in the woods with the occasional bear or skunk… Our farm is a beautiful work in progress, not a Pinterest photo op, so there are materials around and tractors and machines doing work but we will always respect quiet evening and morning times. When mapping your way, Google Maps is the only accurate map, using your vehicle’s GPS or Apple Maps will take you on an adventure! You will not get cell service once you get out of town but we will give you access to the wifi in the barn so you can use wifi calling if needed. It can get windy here on occasion so come prepared. If there is anything you need or forgot, please don’t hesitate to ask. If you want recommendations for things to do or places to go, we are happy to help! The town of Lyons is small but offers a small market with fresh sandwiches, a butcher, and bakery. There are a few coffee shops and good restaurants. Planet Bluegrass has an amazing venue nearby and our property would make a great home base for your festival/concert adventures.

Vista Tranquila Glamping

5 sites ¡ Lodging, RVs6 acres ¡ Boulder, Boulder
Our family has resided on this magnificent property for over 20 years. In the 1950s, before the home was built, our land was known as "the point." Lovers used to drive onto the property, park at the end of the lot which overlooks the eastern plains, and... you know... We live on 6.5 acres of stunning forested land located 1000 feet above downtown Boulder. Our property rests on a peninsula with views of the white-capped peaks to the west and the city lights to the east. The property feels far away from the bustle of city life, yet is only an eight-minute drive to the heart of downtown Boulder's historic shopping district and ten minutes from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Vista Tranquila, the name given to our property by its previous owners, has trails to meander, picnic tables, horseshoes, swings hanging from the trees, a competitive-level trampoline, benches with views, and hammocks. The communal food prep area has a gas grill, a table for food prep, and a seating area. We request that guests pack out all trash. Since we do not provide stoves, pans, utensils or cleanup facilities, please bring paper towels to wipe off your stove, pans, dishes, and utensils. A well-maintained portable toilet, housed in a tall tent near the main residence is provided. During summer, it is a flush portable toilet. From October 15th to May 1st, it is a dry potty that must be used with a Wag Bag which can be purchased for $3 each when making your reservation. Recommended for one-time use, Wag Bags are infused with powder that solidifies pee and poo. Guests must pack out their human waste. During summer, we provide potable water from our well. From October 15th to May 1st, guests must bring their own drinking water. We do not offer showers. The Boulder Recreation Center (a 10-minute drive) offers showers and other facilities for a small fee. You can enjoy a historic mining town experience with fine dining and live bluegrass/ folk music at the town of Gold Hill which is less than 20 minutes up our canyon. Kayakers, climbers, hikers, and cyclists (mountain, road, and gravel) will have an outdoor playground within a very short drive or right outside our door. World-class climbing located at Eldorado Canyon State Park is only a 25-minute drive. If you seek bigger peaks beyond Boulder Mountain Parks, the Indian Peaks Wilderness and Rocky Mountain National Park are a gorgeous 45-minute drive.
