A lovely flat spot alongside our garage for a van, small RV, teardrop or truck camper. Electric and water. No available bathroom. This option is especially great since van/rv/trailer camping is not allowed on public streets or in public parking lots in the Town of Crested Butte. (Our spot is a great way to avoid the Marshal knocking on your window at 11 PM and asking you to move on. Yes it happens because we know the officers.) Gorgeous views, easy dog walks and a recreation path right nearby. Walking distance to downtown Crested Butte. Bikable to some of the best mountain biking in the USA. Available year-round, even in the deep snow. Nordic skiing right outside your door. Public transit nearby so you can get settled and leave your van/camper without all the pack up, unpack, leveling process. Local public transportation is great! Quiet dog-friendly neighborhood of locals. Sustainable! (Power is photovoltaic solar. 20 Amp. Not so well suited to AC units or electric heat) Trash, compost, recycling and potable water are available on site. Two blocks away is the CB dump station for sewer and non-potable/potable water except in winter months. A great spot to support evening and late night arrivals to avoid driving all over looking for a dispersed spot during busy times. Worry free! Easy walking distance to the Crested Butte Center for the Arts, Alpenglow (Mondays), Music on the Mountain (Wednesdays), Public House, wedding venues and other music venues, bars and nightlife. 1/2 a block from the Slate River and paddleboarding put-in. 1 block from Rainbow Park and playgrounds, soccer fields, etc. 2 blocks from the public/ski bus. Reliable high speed internet. This is a relatively small, site in town, not a spacious farm/acreage type of site or a campground. Currently the fishing hut has potable water, electricity, TV, DVD player, remote controlled ceiling fan, mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hot plate, basic kitchen essentials, and a futon with bedding to get a good nights sleep. *More Amenities To Come* For heating and cooling there is a light/fan in the center of the hut and we provide a space heater for when the nights get cold. Just a few steps outside of the hut is a beautiful (one of a kind) outhouse with lights, power outlets, and a heat lamp if need be. A little ways down from the hut you will find a table with antique wagon wheels and seating for enjoying a meal or just taking in the views . The property is .57 acres in an L shape. It has many trees consisting of spruce, ponderosa, and aspens. The plot sits right at 9000 feet above sea level. There are great Mountain View’s and lots of Quiet. There is unlimited national forest access just a 2 min walk from the property, 3 private fishing ponds, and a very large and versatile shooting range nearby.

Our resident goats roam the meadows, providing us with the milk, cheese, and yogurt for our tasty homecooked breakfasts and our cheese-making classes. We are located in central Colorado in pristine wilderness, yet just 6 miles from the historic town of Salida. In addition to the tipis, we are a full service Bed and Breakfast lodge. We have campers and a vintage trailer available to rent. The tipis have a full-sized bathhouse for use by our tipi guests. Guests need to provide their own toiletries and towels. New in 2022: We have added a queen sized bed and mattress to each of the tipis.. Campers still should bring their own bedding (sleeping bags, pillows) or if need be, can rent bedding from us.

We loved staying at Ren’s place! It was super easy to pull in and had convenient hook ups for water and electric. We loved the proximity to town too. It was only a short walk to the main strip of restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent place to stay within walking distance to town. Communicative hosts who quickly responded to any questions. Only caveat is that it’s not too far from the sewage treatment plant so we got occasional wafts of unpleasant smells. Didn’t last long but was noticeable. Still, I would stay here again for convenience and supportive hosts.

Surprising little shed turned into a getaway space. Appreciated the potable water inside and kitchette. This may be a work in progress, but insulating more walls and the floor would help. Lots of outdoor space. Everything was clean and easy to use.

Rens place was a wonderful stay! We were just a few minutes from mountain biking both days. We were also able to take a short bike ride (less than a mile) downtown for dinner. We couldn’t have asked for a better location! Ren and her family were very welcoming and great hosts. If you have dogs, it’s just a short walk from a path which we really appreciated!

This was a good location for our purposes. The access was easy and even though there was lots of rain, and a little roadway washout in the morning, it was easily passable and not a worry for us. The tiny accommodations are appropriately appointed and accurately advertised.

Weekend Trip to Marian’s Fishing Hut

I absolutely loved Marion's fishing hut. It was perfect and I loved all the touches. The TV, the small refrigerator and microwave, little coffee maker, and all the utensils, plates, cups and portable electric hot plates to cook. There is a wash basin to wash and to wash dishes. Water was provided, which was awesome. They also provided movies to watch on the TV and the the trundle bed was perfect and comfortable, as well as, the pillow, and the blanket was so warm. It looked like a little cottage with the framed windows, which opened from the inside with little blinds, and when you would open the little windows, there was a nice breeze. I didn't mind the roosters across the way they were funny, and I took pictures of the beautiful horses also across the way. It was quiet. The little fishing hut is surrounded by pine trees and Aspen trees. The little outhouse was so cute and clean, also with nice touches. And the lid to the toilet was painted with Aspen trees!! Whoever painted it is a great artist. I highly recommend this little hut for me and my 2 dogs, it was perfect. There's also a picnic table and chairs outside and a water spigot. I will definitely be back to this little piece of mountain paradise. 👏🏞⛰️

Definitely a nice place to stay at. Clean and simple. Has a TV, DVD player with a good selection of movies, mini fridge, microwave, as well as a mini heater. Has a lot of areas within a short drive to see beautiful sunsets. Has very spotty signal, but thats what makes places like these nice, you have to disconnect and enjoy nature. Definitely recommend staying here. Do note, it does get cold during the nights so prepare accordingly, the blanket and heater was good enough for me.

Great little spot! The neighbors were super friendly, with horses and chickens across the road. The cabin is a small hut, perfect for a couple and two dogs to sleep comfortably. The trail head is in walking distance with a beautiful hike. Lots to do and explore in the area. We really enjoyed our weekend get away! Thank you so much!
