The space
The house is located on an acre of land in Black Hawk, CO which is about an hour outside of Denver just past the Golden Gate Canyon State Park. The surrounding area has amazing Mountain Views and you can drive to the town of Black Hawk for dinner/Casinos in about 20 minutes (depending on the weather), to Rollinsville in about 20 minutes in the other direction, or to El Dora in about 30 minutes.
Given that it takes about 20 minutes to get to any neighboring small town, note that the house location is remote. It is located in a residential neighborhood where most houses are on an acre of land. Because of that, sound travels very easily so while it is usually quiet, you can easily hear dogs barking or music.
Guests love that this space is PRIVATE on an entire acre of land without any street noise. Enjoy this beautiful home without worrying about where or when you have to be somewhere.
Black Hawk - have your own private space and hot tub & escape some of the madness of staying at the casinos by opting to stay at Little Gem Lodge!
Small Towns (Rollinsville, Nederland, Black Hawk, Wondervu, Idaho Springs) - there are lots of cute local restaurants and breweries in each of these towns.
Hiking + Cross Country Ski/Rec Areas - You have close access to Golden Gate Canyon State Park, St Mary's Glacier, Rocky Mountain National Park (~1-1.5 hours), 14ers. It's an awesome outdoor enthusiast location in any season because of its proximity to the mountains and state parks.

We have a private hiking trail that leads to our “kissing swing” overlooking the headwaters of the Colorado River Valley.

The space
The house is located on an acre of land in Black Hawk, CO which is about an hour outside of Denver just past the Golden Gate Canyon State Park. The surrounding area has amazing Mountain Views and you can drive to the town of Black Hawk for dinner/Casinos in about 20 minutes (depending on the weather), to Rollinsville in about 20 minutes in the other direction, or to El Dora in about 30 minutes.
Given that it takes about 20 minutes to get to any neighboring small town, note that the house location is remote. It is located in a residential neighborhood where most houses are on an acre of land. Because of that, sound travels very easily so while it is usually quiet, you can easily hear dogs barking or music.
Guests love that this space is PRIVATE on an entire acre of land without any street noise. Enjoy this beautiful home without worrying about where or when you have to be somewhere.
Black Hawk - have your own private space and hot tub & escape some of the madness of staying at the casinos by opting to stay at Little Gem Lodge!
Small Towns (Rollinsville, Nederland, Black Hawk, Wondervu, Idaho Springs) - there are lots of cute local restaurants and breweries in each of these towns.
Hiking + Cross Country Ski/Rec Areas - You have close access to Golden Gate Canyon State Park, St Mary's Glacier, Rocky Mountain National Park (~1-1.5 hours), 14ers. It's an awesome outdoor enthusiast location in any season because of its proximity to the mountains and state parks.

I had an incredible stay at this cabin! The view alone is absolutely breathtaking—perfect for relaxing mornings and peaceful evenings. Inside, everything felt thoughtfully designed and had a cozy yet luxurious touch, adding to the overall high-end feel of the space. The cabin was also very well stocked with camping essentials, which made our stay easy and stress-free. The folks @ A-Lodge were the best! They are super responsive on their text chat almost anytime of the day/night. They extended our stay one more night very quickly just over chat when decided we were not ready yet to say goodbye to our kids in Boulder. We were able to snag the same spot from the night before so getting in later after dinner in Boulder was super easy for us. The lodge is really nice and so were the restrooms and showers. Snowed our first night and the view of the property was very special. We were able to fall asleep to the sound of the creek next to our RV spot #2. Would book back here in a heartbeat. Thanks again to all who helped us on first camper van trip. Starting here made the rest of our week that much easier.

My husband and I had a really great night at the sunshine tent! I will say, definitely don’t plan to go when it’s retold like we did. The host provides a lovely propane heater, but it can only do so much. The hot tub was a wonderful sight and was very comfortable and clean. The space has a small, private fence around it which makes it that much nicer. We had a very sweet cat visitor with us all night snuggling up to keep warm. Would absolutely recommend!

What a lovely 2 nights spent among the trees and sky in Evergreen. The space is so comfortable and relaxing. You wake up to pine trees and delicious coffee in the Chemex. We watched movies on the big screen, made pizzas in the Ooni oven and soaked in the hot tub. The beds were just right and the kitchen had what we needed. We even had a deer family visit us in the snow. The hosts were so nice and great communicators. Highly recommend!

We chose to stay at the cabin with the sauna. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and very cozy. Being there when it snowed really added to the experience and made it feel extra peaceful and special. Just be sure to drive carefully in snowy/icy weather. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The host was very responsive and communicative, which we appreciated. Overall, a lovely cabin and a great stay.
