The Tiny house has 360 degrees of vistas, near many local attractions including Mtn Home Reservoir, Stations of the Cross, Great Sand Dunes, Zapata Falls [ if you have time this is a gem to see], Colorado Gators, Ft Garland Museum, Mtn Blanca, 75 miles to Taos NM, and many wildlife reserves. The Tiny House is APX 150ft from main home but has its own drive and private parking, amenities include WIFI, bathroom and shower, towels and bedding, kitchenette, with fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker [ coffee provided], and television. Sleeps 2 very cozy. We are Pet friendly [ WITH $20.00 CASH CHARGE PER PET, UPON ARRIVAL, LIMIT 2]. Pets cannot be left on property or in Tiny house unsupervised. THIS IS CAMPING - Although we have fabulous amenities for a comfortable experience, this is camping. If you are not a camper do not book. This is not an AIRBNB. Not toddler friendly.
OFF-GRID WATER: No well or septic. If you chose the option of running water, six 5-gallon jugs provided to fill nearby. The tank holds 35 gallons. Monitor usage; do not drop below 1/4 full or it may damage the pump. Showers use 1.75 gal/min. Camp style rinse off showers. (Dry cabin Nov–May; no running water during freeze months)
TOILET USE: Composting toilet. All guests must watch a 2-minute video and follow instructions. Violation of cabin rules or failure to discard urine in the designated spot incurs a $150 fee. If you’re not comfortable doing this, this may not be the right fit

Weekend Trip to Camp Catori
Camp Catori was exactly what we didn’t know we were looking for—the perfect retreat from Denver. The view of Blanca Peak is absolutely breathtaking, and we could have happily spent the whole day just relaxing, reading, and napping on the outdoor sectional while soaking it in. The tiny home is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a cozy, comfortable off-grid stay. We will definitely be back ❤️

My family of 4 + a dog loved our stay! It was a bit squishy as you would expect fitting a family of 4+ in a tiny home...but it was cozy! Comfortable beds all around and the means for making coffee. :) But the absolute best part was the DECK! Gorgeous views. Great birding! Great place to drink said coffee. This was a perfect stay for us on a trip to the Great Sand Dunes. Also, excellent communication with the host.

Weekend Trip to Moore Chaparral
What a wonderful place! Daryl and Cindy greeted us when we arrived and were so sweet. The place was perfect for our overnight. A super comfortable bed, snacks and treats if we wanted them, and many amenities to keep us cozy during our stay. When we woke up in the morning, we enjoyed coffee under the tree-zebo. The propriety the stunning and the hosts went above and beyond. Definitely recommend! We’ll be back!

For parents of toddlers:
Pros: Gorgeous views, comfy beds, was able to fit our pack & play in the house with the SlumberPod cover over it. Full kitchen and fridge made it easy to prep and store food. 30 minutes from the Sand Dunes where our 1.5 year old had an BLAST playing in the sand and the creek.
Cons: lots of things for kiddos to get into in the house (not baby proof) so need to be extra vigilant. No railings on the deck or stairs, and the outdoor area is almost always in full sun so bring lots of sunscreen for your littles. But our host graciously and thoughtfully warned us about all these things so we tried to come prepared!!

Catori’s cabin was the best experience for our getaway. The location is ideal and the scenery is gorgeous. We felt like we had the entire mountain to ourselves. The cabin was extremely comfortable and had plenty of convenient features that made it feel like we could stay forever. One of our favorite features was the large porch with comfortable furniture, we spent hours each day just taking in the sunshine and views. Overall, Catori’s property was exactly what we needed and we can’t wait for another opportunity to stay again soon as we can. Highly recommend!
