Miller Flats is a privately own home on 40 acres bordered on 4 sides by Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The Powderhorn Wilderness is literally in the back yard. You will find hiking and biking trails plentiful. The Lake Fork of the Gunnison River is just across the street, with public access just two miles away. If you are looking for Jeep or ATV trails, they are less than a mile down the road. We are twenty miles from the spectacular Alpine Loop! And twenty-five miles from Blue Mesa Reservoir. Tent sites include a firepit, and flat spot for tent. Water and electricity are available at the well house, but not the tent sites. Each campsite has a five gallon bucket of water, a camp potty with a removable bag that you dispose. There may be an outdoor shower available for an extra fee. Please do not plan on using the firepit unless we have had recent rain and the camp host approves. The grass around the campsite is a wildfire waiting to happen since we have been in a severe drought since 2021. There is a pile of wood near the cabin driveway that you can use for campfires. Please make sure you have a way to extinguish your fire. The road to the tent sites is BLM. It is not gravel, it is dirt. My car can get to most sites, but the camp host can help haul gear if you don’t want to drive down it. I have had several sedans drive the road, but if you have a low profile vehicle we can tote your supplies. Also, in spring the road may be muddy. Please have a 4 wheel drive. Just send me a message and we will make it work for you. Satellite Wifi is available near the well house, but somewhat spotty. Not great for downloading movies or gaming. Some people get cell service at the top of the hill, but otherwise there is very little in the area. Your tent sites are arranged around the property next to the wilderness and a BLM trail. You will be able to drive there. There is a log home on the center of the property, about a quarter mile or more away from the tent sites. We rent the property and a third of the time we are living on premises. There are gardens, barn cats, dogs and we are hoping to add a horse and a fuzzy cow. There are outdoor living areas between the log home and your sites. If you are interested in more seclusion, please see the Private Valley campsite. It has a ridge between the cabin, other campsites and the well house.

Come pitch a tent or there are a couple spots to car camp and share in this ranch paradise. We limit each camping spot to two adults or a family with children are fine. There are mosquitos down by the creek at certain times in the summer in the evening, so we recommend bringing some bug spray. There is a fridge in the barn to keep small things cold and tables to use to sit and enjoy the rustic lux surroundings. We provide a porta potty so please only #1 (pee) outdoors. The land is big although we have 7 camping spots listed, and they are mowed all summer, there is plenty of room to usually be able to choose your own exact spot. This is a cut above basic camping with some nice amenities! We have very friendly dogs, horses and goats. The dogs are out and about and will want to greet you and possible hang out a little. It’s their home too:) We often have a friends yaks grazing here and the next door neighbors cows are always there.

Our neighbors have chosen to live in Marble for its privacy and tranquillity. Please show them respect by keeping the noise down and leaving them be. If you have questions or need help, call us from the yurt landline. Winter camping experience/equipment and a high-clearance 4x4 vehicle with severe snow-rated tires and chains may be required to access the yurt Oct-April. This was a great site! I was worried about being on the north rim of Black Canyon because the “main” stuff is on the south rim but IT WAS SO GREAT! We did the south rim the day before and hit the North Rim morning after (views are 10x better!!) Definitely recommend Tater’s campground, so clean, so comfortable, so serene. Star gazing, stunning views, seclusion, and sweet pets 🩵 Traci + Chris have done a wonderful job.

Absolutely beautiful. The darkest skies you'll find in the area. Wide open field to the east for a beautiful sunrise through the Aspens. Trees are pretty close on the west, which is okay because the road is right there also, but there is not a lot of traffic, I think three trucks and four four side-by-sides went by all day, it is a private community after all. If you walk out into the field you can see North and South pretty good as well. I was there to start gaze so I did not walk around much, but the people that I did see were very nice. I did venture down to evergreen lake, be careful, it gets really, really steep, and there were lots of deer, I think I saw 20 deer in one day.

Second time here in the same year The Hawk TiPi comfortably fits 4 adults and 4 dogs. Pure Bliss. Cannot believe I have to wait until next year to come back. 🙏🪶🙏

Amazing!! We got there at night, and woke up to an amazing view! My daughter, dogs and I went camping for the first time together. I learned how to chop wood, and the tent kept us dry while it rained. I loved having the cooling box to have a fire and cook food. My 6 year old daughter even learned how to make us s’mores all on her own! She even said she’d loved to go back there sometime, and said, “why wouldn’t I?” On our way out we saw the beautiful fall leaves!

This is one of our favorite places to glamp. It’s nice to not have to pack dishes, cookware, etc. There’s a great setup to cook. Sway in the hammocks after breakfast. The beds inside the teepees are so comfy. The host is incredibly kind.

The owners were so warm and welcoming, and the showers were absolutely incredible; after a few days on the road camping, they felt like such a treat! They were warm, clean, and exactly what we needed. Having such beautiful amenities really made the stay extra special. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Double Rose Ranch

This campsite will take your breathe away. Located right in front of needle rock and surrounded by beautiful mountains, it was truly a beautiful place to stay. And only 20 minutes from Black Canyon of the Gunnison and an hour-ish away from Grand Junction! The land owner, Jessica, gave us a warm welcome and did a great job accommodating us as her guests. She set up a nice table to eat at in her rustic barn, brewed us fresh coffee in the morning, and took us on a tour of her farm animals. We got to pet her beautiful horses and feed the silly goats. Overall, my girlfriend and I had a really great time and we'd definitely camp here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Martha's Hip Camp. Full hook-ups, surrounded by nature so good privacy, and lots of room to manuever. The site wasn't that level but she provides plenty of paver stones that made it work. Great location with lots of opportunity to hike, fish, and enjoy the beautiful landscape. We'll definitely be back in the near future.

One night wasn't enough.. What a sanctuary. Clean, green, so so peaceful, relaxing. I booked a second night in the deer 🦌 Tipi. Loved the solar bag showers, loved loved the views, and the private mini hike. Love that we could take our dogs because lots of places do not. Our dogs were in heaven. Highly highly recommend this sanctuary.
