Welcome to Juniper Spur Ranch! Directions: GPS Juniper Valley Spur....this is a short culdesac road with a road sign at the entrance off Juniper Valley Drive. There is a green pipe rail gate at the end. This gate has a combination lock. You will receive the current combination code 2 days before your arrival. There is a portapotty in the hay barn cleaned regularly and a water spigot for non-potable water uses. There is no shower available but you could wash off hands and feet if desired with the hose.
Pets are allowed at campsites #2 and #3 only. These campsites are farthest from the horses and dogs. Please keep dogs on leash at all times.
Our property offers a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. Nature lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts, family vacationers and retirees, can all enjoy the vast recreational opportunities this area has to offer.
Lake Siskiyou is about 20 miles south and offers a wonderful 7-mile hiking trail around the entire lake.

3. Mountain Horseback Trail Riding. Go for a ride with a wrangler and me

4. Arena Horseback Riding and Lesson. Ride alongside me in a large arena on a gentle riding horse. Learn how to relate to the horse as you ride, communicate effectively, keep your balance using the correct posture, turn, stop, and move forward smoothly. Mindful Earth Farm is a multi-family intentional community located on a six acre certified organic and biodynamic permaculture farm outside of Ashland Oregon. The perfect stop on my portland to sand Diego road trip, about 15 minutes from the main highway but it felt a world away. The washroom was great, with hot water even! The icing on the cake was the trail across the road that followed along the creek - my dogs and I took several romps around there during our stay.

This is a lovely spot in a farm on a creek surrounded by rolling hills. The farm hosts a a variety of folks, all friendly. A highlight is the flock of hairless sheep! We enjoyed the scenery and how remote it felt while being just 10 miles from Ashland. Sarah and Jeff were gracious and attentive hosts, and we had a great time resting and exploring the area.

Such a great private retreat with our 3 pups! It has everything needed for a glamping getaway and more! Very clean all around. All amenities were there and taken care of well. Peaceful and absolutely beautiful! Nice swimming hole that we wished we could have jumped in but the weather was a bit chilly! We also stopped by the winery and met Leith who gave us a great rundown of the history which was a pleasant little bonus! We will come back next summer for a few more day with friends to enjoy!

Weekend Trip to Lane Creek Reserve
As a solo female traveler, being able to camp on a budget somewhere where I feel totally safe is HUGE. It was great to stay on a family farm in an area that’s not too remote. I “glamped” in one of their platform tents. It was cold overnight and it was awesome that the tent had a heater. There was also WiFi, a clean & bright, fully enclosed shower space, and a clean composting toilet. I fed the animals with Lara which was hilarious and joyful — so glad I opted for that. The farmstand is the best!! Too late in the season for fresh veg but I stocked up on homemade preserves and Lara’s cookies! 10/10

Patrice’s campsite is as described by others and in the hip camp listing. It sits in the middle of a large piece of property just past the town of Weed off Highway 97. We liked this location and site. We pitched our tent on flat ground that felt remote, quiet, and off the beaten path. Campsite 3 had a great view of Mt. Shasta, though when we were there it was covered in clouds. You should be aware that the Porta-potty feels like a long walk from the site (100-200 yards). Patrice is super responsive and will make sure you have everything you need.
